키덜트 감성의 오브제 이미지를 활용한 섬유조형

Abstract

The world is always changing. People and the world are always changing and becoming more complicated than before. The houses change and so does the fashion, automobiles and phone designs. All these can be seen in the world that multiplies whatever is newly created according to the time flow. The world will be seen in a different view according to the generation, and the things that people remember of each generation will be different. There are things which existed in the past that are currently not, whilst some still do exist, and there are things that may exist in the future. Depending on these, the memories of the people also change. As the various experiences and the infinite information increase, the present space and the virtual space are filled. As many happenings occur within these spaces simultaneously, everything gradually becomes forgotten as time goes by. This may be due to the confusing regular emotions, and may be because the various memories are essentially irrelevant to the present. Evidence of existence are created because everything disappears after time. This may be why humans would like to fulfill their happiness with the things they need, things they want and things they do not want to forget. This is a way of proving their existence in the large world. Therefore, this researcher created the equation of life, by collecting everything that will disappear one day after time, and this has become a part of life. As a child, the researcher focussed on collecting cute and small objects, and collected every little object that could symbolize any experiences gained. The collected objects gathered one by one to be positioned in one area. As the numbers increased, one space was filled up and the surrounding area was enclosed. The collected objects give me happiness, is a part of my life, and is becoming a part of myself. After 2000 as Kidult culture settled, the tendency to love cute objects was confirmed. The tendency is so called cutism, among other tastes, which means the tendency to consume by weighing value on the objects that seem cute to oneself rather than what the others think. Even though the objets that were influenced by cutism were numerously multiplied through the industrialization of the modern society and are mass produced goods, the object is precious and one of a kind to me, and can be said to be an evidence that proves my existence. For me, happiness is knowing that there are various cute objects in the world even after collecting new objects, and is the energy that makes me feel good just by looking at it. The collected objets are the media that reflects the kidult tastes. It is a clone of myself and is my existence. I am writing my history by playing and having fun with the objects that became special to at least one person, by being seen out of the many objects. This research looks into the kidult tastes by conducting literature researches on the theoretic approaches of the expression topics, and investigates the characters of the person. Furthermore, this research analyzes the works of the artists who expressed kidult taste in art forms. In the model expression research of the work, one of the objets that were collected since childhood until now is selected as the expression subject, and a photo image is made. The photo image is formed and is connected through the actual fiber construction, to express the love and interest of myself who likes cute objects. The expressing methods are the enlarging of the multiplication of the physical, conceptual methods. The other is the expression of the emotional and conceptual multiplication that are a cell or an organism feels, by thinking that the objet is alive like oneself's life. The work produced a total of 8 points, patterned the photo images of the objets, repeated them, and researched the solidifying of the fabric by expanding the scale. The collecting activity that can be seen as a personal subject hobby of oneself was recognized as a part of one's happy life. The process that produces this into a fabric model piece helped solve the difficulties of the researcher's art activities using humors or plays, and made them feel the current happy life. Based on this, there shall be continuous researches with deeper thinking and research will in order to actualize the art activities in the future.;세계는 항상 변해간다. 인간도 세상도 모든 것이 과거와는 다르게 변화해가고 복잡해진다. 사는 집의 형태도 달라지고 유행하는 패션, 자동차, 핸드폰 디자인들도 변해간다. 이것은 세월이 흐름에 따라 새롭게 무엇이든 만들어져 증식되는 우리가 살아가는 세상에서 볼 수 있는 모습이다. 이런 세계는 세대에 따라 다른 시각으로 받아들여질 것이고, 각 시대 사람들이 기억하고 있는 것들은 다를 것이다. 과거에는 있었지만 현재에는 없는 것도 있고, 여전히 존재하는 것도 있고, 미래에 있을 수도 있고 없을 수도 있는 그러한 것들이다. 그것에 따라 사람들의 기억도 변해간다. 다양한 경험들과 무수한 정보는 계속 불어남에 따라 현실의 공간과 가상의 공간을 채워나간다. 이러한 공간 안에서는 너무 많은 일들이 동시다발적으로 빠르게 일어나기 때문에, 시간이 지나면 모든 것은 차츰 잊혀져간다. 그것은 일상생활에서 느끼는 감상이 혼잡하고 많은 기억이 본질적으로 현재와 무관하기 때문인 듯하다. 모든 것은 시간이 지나면 사라져 가지만 사라져 가기 때문에 존재에 대한 증거를 낳는다. 그렇기 때문에 인간은 주변을 자기가 필요한 것, 마음에 드는 것, 기억하고 싶은 것들로 채움으로써 행복하게 살길 원하며, 이러한 세상 속에서 자신의 존재를 드러내고 증명하고 싶어 하는 것 같다. 그래서 본 연구자는 시간이 흐르면서 언젠가 사라지게 될 자신의 모든 것에 대해 남기고 싶은 바람으로써 수집이라는 삶의 방식이 생겨났고, 이것은 삶의 일부분이 되었다. 특히 유년기시절부터 본인이 생각하기에 작고 귀여운 물건들을 집중적으로 모았고, 그 후에는 자신이 경험한 것이 형태로 남겨진 사소한 것들까지도 모으게 되었다. 수집한 물건들은 하나, 둘 모여서 어느새 한 곳에 자리를 잡았다. 그리고 계속 그 수가 증가하면서 한 공간마저 채우고 주변을 둘러싸게 되었다. 이렇게 나의 공간에 증식된 물건들은 나를 행복하게 해주며 삶의 일부분이 되고, 나 자신이 되어가고 있었다. 2000년 이후 키덜트 문화가 정착되면서 귀여운 것을 좋아하는 본인의 성향을 더욱 확실하게 발휘하게 해주었다. 그 성향은 키덜트 감성 중 남의 평가보다는 자신이 생각하는 귀여운 외양에 가치를 두는 소비성향을 말하는 큐티즘이다. 이러한 큐티즘이 반영된 오브제들은 현대사회에서 산업화를 통하여 수없이 복제되어 대량생산된 물건일지라도 나에게는 하나밖에 없는 소중한 물건이며, 나의 존재를 증명해 주는 증거물이라 할 수 있다. 새로운 물건을 수집하면 할수록 이 세상에 귀여운 물건들이 다양하게 많이 있다는 것이 나에겐 행복한 일이고, 보고 있는 것만으로도 기분 좋게 만드는 에너지이다. 수집한 오브제들은 키덜트 감성이 구체화되어 나타난 매개체로 나의 분신이자 존재 자체이다. 많은 물건들 중에 나의 눈에 띄어 한 사람에게만 이라도 특별한 존재가 된 이 물건들과 놀고 즐기면서 나의 역사를 그려나간다. 본 연구는 표현 주제의 이론적 접근으로 문헌연구를 통해 키덜트 감성에 대해 알아보고, 그 안에 본인에게 속하는 특징을 살펴본다. 더불어 키덜트 감성을 예술로 표현한 작가들의 작품들을 분석한다. 작품의 조형 표현 연구에서는 본인이 유년기 시절부터 현재까지 수집한 오브제들 중에서 표현 대상으로써 의미가 있는 것을 선별하고 사진 이미지를 만든다. 사진 이미지를 구성하고 실제 섬유조형 작업으로 연결하여 귀여운 것을 좋아하는 나 자신에 대한 사랑과 관심을 표현한다. 표현의 방법은 오브제 이미지의 반복을 통한 물리적, 개념적 증식의 거대화이다. 수집한 오브제가 늘어 점점 많아지면서 공간을 채우는 물리적 방법의 증식의 표현이고, 또 하나는 오브제를 본인의 생명과도 같은 살아있는 것으로 보아 세포, 또는 생명체로써 느끼는 감정적, 그리고 개념적 증식의 표현이다. 작품은 총 8점을 제작하였으며 오브제들의 사진 이미지를 패턴화하여 반복하고, 규모 확대를 통하여 섬유를 입체화하는 연구를 하였다. 개인의 주관적인 취미 생활로 볼 수 있는 수집 활동을 자신의 행복한 삶의 한 부분으로 인식하고, 이를 섬유조형 작품으로 제작하는 과정은 본 연구자에게 있어 조형 예술 활동의 어려움을 유머나 놀이와 같은 방식으로 풀어나갈 수 있도록 해 주었고, 현재의 행복한 삶을 느끼게 해주었다. 이를 계기로 예술 활동을 실천해 나가기 위해 앞으로 더욱 깊은 사고와 탐구의지를 갖고 지속적인 연구를 수행해 나가야 할 것이다.
