묶기를 통한 공간구성연구

Abstract

산업혁명 이후 사회는 기술적, 사회경제적, 문화적으로 눈부신 발전을 하고 있다. 새로운 기계의 발명과 교통, 정보화 시스템의 비약적인 발전은 고속화 시대를 살아가는 현대인에게 편의와 행복을 제공한다. 그러나 이와 같은 급속한 사회의 발전은 삶의 질을 무시한 성장 위주의 발전으로 현대인은 물질의 풍요와 산업 문명의 중독으로 인해 원인 모를 불안감과 공허함, 상실감으로 한 치의 쉼과 여유조차 허락하지 않는 삶 속에서 긴장하고 갈등하며 살아간다. 오늘날의 사회는 현대인에게 과다한 업무를 요구하고 있기 때문이다. 이러한 이유로 사회현상에 의해 마비된 감성을 회복하고 내적인 휴식을 갈구하게 된 동인으로 자연이 주는 아름다움, 신비로움, 평화로움 등의 자연현상을 연구주제로 삼게 되었다. 자연이 제공하는 여러 가지 현상 가운데 조직적이고 구조적인 형태를 가진 나뭇가지, 벌집, 거미줄과 같은 대상을 자세히 관찰한다. 특히 나뭇가지를 통해 본 선에 대해 관찰·탐구하여 그 선이 가진 조형적인 아름다움의 추상화를 통해 본인의 심상을 대변하고 자아 정체성 확립과 삶의 당위성을 확립해 주는 존재로서 작품에 투영해 본다. 또한, 이러한 표현 방법에 있어 유사한 요소를 지닌 조형예술작품을 비교, 분석한다. 표현방법 연구에서는 나뭇가지에서 얻어지는 선을 추상화한 이미지를 표현하기 위해 실의 묶기 기법에 대해 연구한다. 하나의 공간 속에 무수히 많은 실의 묶기에 관한 반복 행위의 의미와 이를 통해 얻어지는 점, 선, 면을 통한 공간 구성에 대해 알아본다. 또한 입체표현을 위해 사용한 재료의 특성과 본인의 독창적인 표현기법으로서의 발전 가능성에 대해 살펴본다. 본 연구는 나뭇가지로부터 얻어지는 선과 형태의 추상화를 통해 본인의 감성과 창작의지를 묶기에 의한 방법으로 조형화한 작품제작에 중점을 둔다. 육면체의 공간 안에서 나뭇가지의 선을 추상화하여 묶기의 반복을 통해 표현하고, 점과 선의 응집과 확산으로 공간을 분할하고 구성하여 작품 안에서 나뭇가지를 통해 본 선의 추상화된 이미지를 시각화한다. 이와 같은 연구는 현대사회를 살아가며 경험하는 내적인 불안감, 긴장감, 소외감, 고독함에서 일부 해방 될 수 있게 해 주었고, 조형 의식을 확대할 수 있는 초석이 되었다. 이를 통해 조형 활동은 연구자의 내면을 자유롭게 하는 길임을 다시 한 번 확인하였고 급변하는 현대사회를 이해하고 대처하는 태도를 다시 한 번 가다듬어 보다 성숙된 자아를 찾을 수 있는 계기를 마련할 수 있었다.;Modern society had developed remarkably in a technical, cultural and socio-economical way since the Industrial Revolution. With the invention of new machinery and the breakthrough development of transportation and information systems, modern people who had lived in the high-speed era was given convenience and happiness. However, this rapid social development had brought about plenty of materials and poisoning of the industrial civilization, and because of the ignored quality of life and growth-oriented development, modern people have been living in anxiety and conflict from the unknown causes of anxiety, emptiness and sense of loss in the midst of human lives not allowing one inch of rest or free time. It's because, in today's society, modern people are required to work over time. And I've sought for inner peace to recover paralyzed emotion by social phenomenon. And for these reasons, I've made research topics as 'beauty of nature, mystery, peacefulness, etc' which are driving force for me to recover paralyzed emotions by social phenomena and to long for inner peace. Among various phenomenons which the nature provides, this study focuses on tree branches, bee hives, and spider webs which have systematical and structural forms. The tree branches were especially considered importantly to observe and search the lines, and were reflected in the works as existence of representing the author's mental image and establishing self-identity and the rationale of life through its abstract painting which depicts the formative beauty of the branch. Also, formative art works which have similar expressing methods and factors have been compared and analyzed. The expression method study examines on thread binding techniques in order to express the abstracted image which was inspired by the tree branches. Also, meanings from repetitive activities of numerous thread binding in a space will be studied, along with creating space through derived dots, lines, and sides. In addition, the features of the materials used to express dimensions and the possibility of developing the author's unique expressing techniques were analyzed. This study focuses on producing art works which formed the author's sensitivity and motivations for creation by binding techniques through abstracted lines and forms derived from tree branches. The lines of tree branches within the hexahedron space were expressed through repetitive bindings, and the abstracted images of lines in the perspectives of branch were visualized by dividing and constituting through cohesion and expansion of dots and lines. This study has enabled the author to partially break away from internal anxiety, stress, alienation, and solitude which can be experienced in the daily lives of modern society. Also, it laid grounds for expanding the formative consciousness. Through these results, it was once again found that the formative activity was a way to free the author's inner views, and provided opportunities to seek a matured ego through recovering author's composures.
