동학사상의 이론적 검토

Abstract

本 硏究는 19세기 중엽 祖先의 對內外的 商況과 최제우의 時代觀을 살펴봄으로써 東學思想이 創導될 수 있었던 要因이 무엇인지를 규명하고, 아울러 東學思想이 諸思想과 어떠한 유사성과 특이성을 가지는가 밝혀 東學思想의 宇宙論·人間論·政治社會論에 對l론的 分析을 시도하는데 그 目的이 있다. 그리하여 Ⅱ章에서는, 東學이 創導될 무렵, 19세기 중엽 祖先의 對內外的 商況을 살펴 보았다. 특히 商況으로는, 當時 祖先의 對外觀을 中心으로, 內的 商況으로는, 三政紊亂으로 인한 中間官吏들의 수탈과 이에 따른 民衆의 生活難, 그리고 社會·經濟의 構造的 모순 商況과 思想의 혼란상 등을 中心으로 考察하여 보았다. Ⅲ章에서는 東學의 創始者인 최제우가 祖先의 이러한 對內外的 商況을 어떻게 인식하고 받아들였는가를 살펴보고 아울러 최제우의 歷史意識을 Ⅳ章에서 살펴 봄으로써 東學이 創導되었던 과정을 考察하였다. Ⅴ章에서는, 이렇게 創導된 東學思想의 理論的 構成을, 諸思想과의 혼합적 측면과 아울러 東學思想 自體의 宇宙論·人間론·政治社會論 등을 中心으로 考察하였다. 이와 같은 연구결과 東學이 現實의 社會改革과 민중구제에 對해 의지를 보이고 있다는 점에서 現實的 民衆的 종교임과 동시에 社會思想의 성격을 보이고 있으며, 아울러 새로운 社會와 世界의 실현을 강조하고 그 中心을 韓國에 두었다는 점에서는 民衆思想의 한 脈으로 규정될 수 있겠다.;This paper examines how the thought of Donghak was generated by surveying the internal and external state of affairs in Chosun Dynasty in the mid-19th century and Choi Jai Woo's view of the times. By making it clear that the thought of Donghak has a certain analogy with other thoughts and peculiarities, this study tries to analyze it theoratically about the cosmos, the human and the political society of the thought of Donghak. In chapter two, we observe the internal and external state of affairs in Chosun Dynasty in the mid-19th century about the time when Donghak was generated. Especially, as the external situation. the view of foreign relation of Chosun Dynasty at that time is investigated chiefly. As the internal situation - the middle government officeres' exploit resulting from the corruption of Sam Jeong, the hardships in living of the people and the disorder of thoughts and the structual discrepancy of society and economy - is studied. In chapter three, Choi Jai Woo, the initiator of Donghak, we observe how he recognized and accepted the internal and external state of affairs of Chosun Dynasty. In chapter four, we examined the process of generation of Donghak by observing the Choi Jai Woo's view of history. In chapter five, the theoretical structure of the thought of Donghak, the mixtual aspect about other thoughts, and the cosmos, the human and the political society of the thought of Donghak itself are.examined mainly. From the result of this study, as the Donghak revealed its will about the social reform at that time and the relief of the people, it shows the realistic and public-religion and the characteristic of social though. In point of emphasis on the realization of new society and world, placing its main point in Korea, it is prescribed as a essence of the national spirit.
