政治定向과 性役割定向에 있어서 性差에 관한 硏究

Abstract

現代와 같은 民主社會에서는 政治領域의 확대로 모든 分野에서 政治의 영향이 더욱 커지게 되었다. 그러므로 家庭과 社會에서 女性의 役割이 다양해지고 확대됨에 따라 政治에 있어서도 女性의 적극적인 관심과 役割遂行이 要求된다. 그러나 女性의 政治에 대 한 態度는 男性에 비해 受動的이고 保守的이라고 흔히 알려져 있을뿐, 이에 대한 學問的 硏究는 부족한 실정이다. 특히 韓國에 있어서 政治社會化를 性別의 기준에서 다룬 硏究는 거의 찾아보기 가 어려운 실정으로 이에 대한 硏究가 시급하다고 할 수 있다. 따라서 本硏究의 目的은 政治定向에 있어서 男女間의 差異와 그 原因을 규명하는데 있다. 이러한 硏究를 위해 本硏究에서는 全南 光州市에 거주하는 男女 中高等學生 355名을 對象으로 實態調査를 하였다. 本論文은 모두 4章으로 構成되어 있다. 먼저 Ⅰ章에서는 硏究의 問題點을 제기하고, 이러한 問題에 대한 구체적인 硏究方法을 서술하였다. Ⅱ章에서는 政治定向과 性役割定向에 대한 기존연구를 살펴봄으로써 이 分野의 理論的 性格을 알아보았다. 즉, 一般社會化過程에서 性役割定向이 어떻게 形成되며, 이러한 性役割定向은 政治定向과 어떤 관련이 있는가, 그리고 政治定向에 있어 男女間의 差異는 어떻게 나타나며, 이러한 性差의 原因은 무엇인가 하는 점들을 살펴보았다. 이러한 理論的 背景에 의거하여 Ⅲ章에서는 實態調査의 結果를 分析하였는데, 전체적인 분석들은 다음 그림과 같다. ◁그림 삽입▷(원문을 참조하세요) 本硏究에서 政治定向은 政治關心度와 政治의 당면문제에 대한 認識, 政治的 知識水準, 政治的 參與態度, 候補者의 選擧基準, 政治制度에 대한 評價를 중심으로 하였으며, 成長環境的 要因으로는 學年과 成長地, 宗敎, 父母의 社會經濟的 地位, 父母와의 對話頻度, 學校內에서의 發表頻度, 選好하는 學科目으로 그 범위를 한정하였다. 그 結果, 政治定向에 있어서 性差는 주로 認知的 領域에서 뚜렷하게 나타났으며, 직접적 政治參與方式에서도 나타났다. 이러한 性差에 영향을 미치는 成長環境的 要因은 주로 學年과 父母의 社會經濟的 地位로 나타났다. 性役割定向에 있어서도 男女間의 差異가 나타났으며, 이러한 性差는 주로 學年과 宗敎, 父母의 社會經濟的 地位, 選好하는 學科目에 의해 영향받는 것으로 보인다. 性役割定向과 政治定向의 관계에서 性役割定向은 男學生의 경우 政治的 知識水準과 직접적 政治參與方式, 現在의 政治制度에 대한 評價에 대해서, 그리고 女學生의 경우에는 政治의 당면문제에 대한 認識誠에만 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. Ⅳ章에서는 이러한 分析結果를 바탕으로 볼때, 政治定向에 있어서 性差의 原因은 社會化理論에 의해서 만이 설명될 수는 없고, 狀況 構造的 要因도 重要한 것으로 보인다. 특히 社會가 近代化 되어 감에 따라, 점차 社會化過程보다는 狀況, 構造的 要因이 더욱 중요하게 된다. 그러므로 앞으로 政治定向에 있어서 性差를 더 분명히 이해하기 위해서는 이러한 性差의 心理的 기반이 되는 性役割定向의 發達過程과 더불어 社會內에서 女性에게 작용하는 狀況, 構造的인 취약점에 대해서도 硏究되어져야 할 것이다.;Today, as women's role has changed and expanded in the society and home, it is required women to have attention and role performance constructively in politics. Generally, women's political orientation has been known more conservative and passive than mens', but it has been not studied enough academically. Especially, it is hardly found of studies on political socialization according to sex in Korea. The purposes of this study are to find the differences in the political orientation of men and women, the sources of these sex differences and factors to influence political orientation of them. It was studied by literature and survey research. The statistical method was used to analyze the responses of 355 middle and high school girls and boys students with questionnaires. A theoretical framework of this study is as follows : ◁표 삽입▷(원문을 참조하세요) Therefore, it was approached the theory of socialization process of sex role orientation and the existing studies on sex differences in political orientation in chapter Ⅱ. And it was considered socialization theory and theory emphasizes situational and/or structural factors to explain the sources of sex differences in political orientation. On these theoretical bases, political orientation and sex role orientation were examined by empirical method in chapter Ⅲ. The results were as follows. It was appeared sex differences in cognitive level as political interest, issue orientation and political information, and in political participation mode. The environmental factors to affect sex differences is grade and parents, socio-economic status in political orientation, and grade, parents' socio-economic status, religion and one's favorite curriculum in sex role orientation. It was appeared political orientation to be affect by sex role orientation, partially. Finally, it was summarized results of this study and disclosed the sources of sex differences in political orientation by socialization theory and theory emphasizes situational and/or structural factors together But, it is supposed to, he important the latter than the former to explain the sources of sex difference in political orientation in modern society, gradually.
