"주역"에 대한 문학적 탐구

Abstract

《周易》은 삼천여 년의 역사를 지닌 經書로서 '群經之首'로 일컬어지며 중국의 고대 문헌중에서 가장 방대한 판본과 연구업적을 내게 한 문헌이다. 본고에서는 《周易》의 사상과 문화의 긴밀한 관련을 고려한 총체적인 시각에서 《周易》의 문학성에 대해 고찰해보고자 하였다. 아울러 전통적인 《周易》의 문학이론에 대한 연구를 탈피하여 좀 더 체계화된 이론 模式을 바탕으로 정밀한 분석을 시도하고자 하였다. 문제제기와 관련하여 본론에 앞서 《周易》에 대한 개략적인 고찰을 통해 《周易》의 성립 및 체제에 관해 살펴보고 《周易》의 문학적 측면에서의 연구에서는 종래 도외시되어 왔던 《周易》 의 기본적인 사상을 우선적으로 이해하였다. 이로써 본론에서 《周易》의 문학 사상·이론이 《周易》의 철학적 기본사상을 어떻게 응용하여 조화를 이루는지를 전체적으로 비교해볼 수 있도록 하였다. 본론에서는 《周易》 자체가 갖는 문학적인 성격과 《周易》에서 도출해낼 수 있는 문학적인 이론의 두 방면으로 나누어 《周易》 의 문학적 특성에 대해 탐구해보았다. 우선 《周易》 經文의 내용범주와 형식기교를 살펴봄으로써 《周易》 을 일개 占書로부터 엄연히 문학성을 갖춘 한 텍스트로 간주할 수 있는 여지를 마련하였다. 占書로서의 《周易》 은 허구의 산물이며 이러한 '허구'가 문학이라는 전제하에서 《周易》 의 다양하고 광범위한 내용을 문학적 제재로서 분류하였다. 그리고 《周易》의 상징적인 내용을 드러내기 위해 고안된 문학적 장치들을 구체적인 예문을 통해 살펴보았다. 《周易》의 문학이론은 체계적인 분석틀의 구도적인 견지에서 특별히 M.H.Abrams의 예술이론에 관한 도식을 劉若愚가 중국의 문학이론에 적합한 체계로 응용한 분류방식에 따라 고찰하였다. 劉若愚는 M.H.Abrams가 설정한 모방론 mimetic theory·효용론 plasmatic theory·표현론 expressive theory·존재론 objective theory의 네가지 범주의 예술이론을 응용하여 중국의 전통적 문학비평을 형이상학론·결정론·표현론·기교론·심미론·효용론으로 이름붙여 분류하였다. 본고에서는 이러한 劉若愚의 이론모델을 도입, 다시 《周易》에 적용시켜 《周易》 문학이론의 범주를 劃定하고 그 이론을 체계화하는 동시에 개별 이론들의 적용가능한 타당성을 도출해냄으로써 《周易》의 문학이론을 심층적으로 이해하고 《周易》의 문학적 가치를 한층 제고해보고자 하였다. 끝으로 《周易》 이 삼천여 년의 유구한 역사를 통하여 예술성과 문학이론의 방면에서 후대문학에 미친 영향을 점검하였다.;In this thesis, this researcher tried to study about the literary nature of 《Zhou-Yi(周易)》, from the Whole viewpoint to consider the close relation between the thought and culture of 《Zhou-Yi(周易)》. in addition, this researcher was to try the precise analysis on the basis of a little more systematized theory type by getting out of the traditional study about the literature theory of 《Zhou-Yi(周易)》. In relation to the issue raisng before main subject. through the rough study about 《Zhou-Yi(周易)》. this researcher examined about the formation and system of Zhou-Yi and understood the basic thought of Zhou-Yi which ans been neglected formerly preferentiaily in the study from the literary viewpoint of 《Zhou-Yi(周易)》. With this. this researcher enabled one to try to compare how the literature thought and theory of 《Zhou-Yi(周易)》is harmonized by annlying the philosophisal basic thought of 《Zhou-Yi(周易)》generally. In the main subject, this researcher tried th study about the literary feature of 《Zhou-Yi(周易)》 by classifying into two fieids of the literary character the 《Zhou-Yi(周易)》, itself has and the literary theory to be able to decude from 《Zhou-Yi(周易)》. Above all by examining the contents category and form technique of the sutra of 《Zhou-Yi(周易)》, this researcher prepared the room as to whether 《Zhou-Yi(周易)》 may be regarded as one text to have the literary nature solemnly from only old book. Under the premise the 《Zhou-Yi(周易)》 as old book is the product of falsehood and this talsehool is literature this researcher classifies the diverse and wide contents of 《Zhou-Yi(周易)》 whth literary theme. And, this researcher examined the literary mechani는 devised for revealing the symbolic contents of 《Zhou-Yi(周易)》 though concrete sentences. As for the literature theory of 《Zhou-Yi(周易)》, this researcher classified in accordance with the classification method that Liu, Ruo Yu(劉若愚) applied the schema on the art theory of M.H. Abrams with the system to be suitable for the literature theory of China from the view point of composition characteristic of systematic analysis frame. Especially. Liu, Ruo Yu(劉若愚) classified the traditional literature evaluation of China in the name of metaphysical theory, determinism expression theory technique theory, cothaie theory, and pragmatic theory by applying the art theory of 4 kinds of category such as mimetic theory, pragmatic theory, expressive theory, and objective theory that M.H.Abrams established. In this thesis, this researcher planned and established the category of literature theory of 《Zhou-Yi(周易)》 and systematized the theory by introducing this theory model of Liu, Ruo Yu(劉若愚) and applying it to 《Zhou-Yi(周易)》again. And, at the same time by deducing the applicable propriety of individual theory this researcher tried to understand the literature theory of Zhou-Yi(周易) protoundly and to uplift the literary value of 《Zhou-Yi(周易)》all the more. Lastly, this researcher examined the influence that 《Zhou-Yi(周易)》 had on the next generation literature n the fields of artistry and literature theory through the history from time immemorial of 2-3 thousand years or so.
