환경심리학적 관점에서의 노인복지시설 공간디자인 연구

Abstract

These days, the proportion of the elderly has been increasing due to the national average growth and also the fitness level has progressed such as the improvement of the standard of living, the satisfaction of the basic nutrition and the development of the medical technology. For this increased population of senior citizens rapidly, the welfare for the elderly has been issued, therefore it is not a home problem but a social problem so it is the social task to solve together with the community spirit. But the quantity of the facilities for them is not enough even though aging population has promptly increased, what was worse, the quality is insufficient. In spite of the social needs, the design standard of the elderly welfare facilites is inadequate, so an appropriate design direction establishment is urgently needed. This study focuses on researching on an elderly welfare center which is complexly served with multi-programs such as leisure programs, culture courses and community participation activities which are needed for the elderly welfare facilities. With a design based on the environment psychology and the behavior characteristics of the elderly, it has been applied to the elderly welfare facility space design compared and analyzed by between Korea and Japan. Through this study, it has been reached this conclusion.

;오늘날 생활수준의 향상과 기본영양의 충족, 의료기술의 발달 등으로 전반적인 건강수준이 향상되어 국민의 평균수준이 증가함에 따라 노인인구의 구성비율이 그 어느 때보다도 빠르게 늘어나고 있다. 이러한 고령인구의 급격한 증가로 노인들의 복지문제가 사회적으로 부각되고 있으며, 노인의 문제는 가정에서 사회로 확대되어 공동체의식을 가지고 해결해야 할 사회적 과제가 되고 있다. 그러나 노인인구의 빠른 증가추세에 비해 그 시설은 양적으로 크게 부족하며, 더욱이 질적 측면은 미흡한 수준에 머무르고 있는 실정이다. 이렇듯 사회적 요구에도 불구하고 노인복지시설의 디자인 기준조차 미비한 현실 속에서 보다 바람직한 디자인의 방향설정이 매우 시급해지고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 노인의 여가생활과 사회참여활동을 지원하는 노인복지관의 공간을 대상으로 환경심리학적인 관점에서 노인의 행태 특성을 고려한 디자인 특성을 도출하고, 이를 반영한 노인복지시설의 디자인 방향을 제시하는 것에 연구의 목적이 있다.
