S. PRKOFIEV의 Piano Sonata No.6, Op.82에 대한 연구

Abstract

본 논문은 20세기 러시아를 대표하는 피아니스트 겸 작곡가인 프로코피에프(Sergei Prokofiev,1891-1953)의 9개의 소나타 중『Piano Sonata No.6, Op.82』에 대한 연구 논문이다. 소나타 제6번은 제 2차대전(1939-1944)의 유혈적인 상황에서 쓰여져 “전쟁 소나타"라 불리는 3개의 소나타 중의 첫 번째 곡으로써 혼란스러운 전투를 직접적으로 묘사 하고 있다. 또한 이 곡은 프로코피에프가 가장 완숙한 기악곡을 작곡했던 시기에 작곡되어 초기 작품보다 서정성이 훨씬 강조되고, 피아노 기교의 난해함이 보이는 방대한 작품이다. 이 대규모 작품은 4악장 구조의 소나타 양식으로 구성되어 있다. 형식면에서 1악장은 제시부-발전부-재현부의 고전적인 소나타 형식을 보이며, 2,3악장은 3부분형식, 4악장은 론도 형식을 사용하였다. 또한 1악장의 주요 요소인 3도 동기는 이 곡 전 악장에 걸쳐 끊임 없이 등장함으로써 각 악장에 통일성을 주었다. 화성은 증4도의 빈번한 사용과 불협화음, 반음계적 진행, 복조성 등으로 현대적인 면을 보인다. 그러나 지속음(Pedal Point)으로써 조성감을 유지하거나, AM-EM-CM-am 로 명확히 명시된 조성은 고전적인 형식을 따른다. 프로코피에프의 단순성과 서정성을 대표하는 선율은 확대, 변형되어 나타나며 강렬한 선율, 익살스러운 선율이 나타나기도 한다. 규칙적이며 토카타적인 요소의 리듬은 타악적인 음색의 효과를 증대시키며, 동적인 리듬, 인위적인 악센트로 인한 해학적인 리듬 등 다양한 리듬이 등장하고 변형되어 나타난다. 프로코피에프는 그의 예술을 지배해온 5가지 음악적 요소 -고전적, 현대적, 토카타적, 서정적, 괴기적(그로테스크적)-를 밝혔는데, 소나타 6번에는 이러한 특징들이 잘 반영되어 나타나 있다.;This thesis is a study on Piano Sonata No.6, Op.82, one of 9 sonatas by Sergei Prokofiev (1891-1953), a prominent pianist and composer representing Russia in the 20th century. The Piano Sonata No.6 was written in the blood-soaked circumstances of World War II (1939-1944), so it is the first one of the three sonatas called "War Sonatas", and directly describes confused battles. And this piece of music was composed in the period when Prokofiev composed most mature instrumental music,a voluminous work showing the abstruseness of techniques of playing the piano in which the lyricism was more emphasized than those in his early days. This voluminous work is composed in the form of sonata with 4 movements. In terms of form, the 1st movement shows the classical sonata form of presenting part, developing part, and reproducing part, and the 2nd and 3rd movements used ternary form and the 4th movement used rondo form. The opening motive - in - thirds which is major factor for the 1stmovement appears incessantly in all the movements of this piece of music so that it gave unity to each movement. Its harmony shows modern aspect through the frequent use of tritone, dissonance, chromatic scale, and bitonality. Tonality which maintains the sense of tonality by pedal point or which is clearly specified with AM-EM-CM-am follows classical form. The melody that represents the simplicity and lyricism of Prokofiev appears as expanded and transformed and sometimes intense melody and humorous melody appear. The regular rhythm with toccata factors augmented the effects of percussion tone and diverse rhythms such as dynamic rhythm, humorous rhythm caused by artificial accent appear as transformed forms. Prokofiev revealed 5 musical factors that had been dominating his art – classical, modern, toccata, lyric, and grotesque – and these characteristics are well reflected in the sonata No.6.
