팝아트의 표현적 특성을 적용한 실내디자인 모형 연구

Abstract

20세기 중반부터 부각되기 시작한 소비 지향적인 문화 현상은 고급문화와 대중문화의 경계를 모호하게 하여 팝아트 발원의 한 축이 되었으며, 현재에 이르러서는 사회 전반에 걸쳐 형성된 거대한 상업주의적 문화 위에 상업예술로서 팝아트의 역할이 재조명 받고 있다. 팝아트는 일상적인 소재들을 미술 속으로 끌어들임으로써 순수예술과 대중예술이라는 이분법적 위계 구조를 불식시키고, 산업사회의 현실을 미술 속에 적극적으로 수용하고자 하였다. 본 연구에서는 20세기 중반 무렵 유행했던 예술의 한 경향이며, 동시에 현재에도 꾸준히 거론되고 있는 팝아트의 사회·문화적 성립 배경 및 그 특성을 분석하고, 최근 실내디자인에 나타나는 팝의 양상을 연구하여 현대적 요구에 부합하는 공간 디자인을 제시하였다. 이를 위해 팝아트에 대한 이론적인 고찰을 수행하였으며, 팝의 표현특성에 관하여 분석하고 공간 표현 사례를 분석하여, 최종 디자인을 제안하였다. 본 연구에서 수행한 일련의 과정들을 통해 얻은 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 팝아트에서 중요한 것은 표현의 형식성보다는 무엇을 나타낼 것인지와 어떤 방식으로 나타낼 것인가의 문제이며, 팝아트는 시간의 흐름 속에서 시대가 요구하는 소재와 기법으로 유연하게 재탄생 할 수 있는 무한한 잠재력을 가지고 있다. 둘째, 팝 아티스트들은 다양한 표현으로 산업사회의 대중·소비문화를 찬양하거나 비판하였으며, 팝아트는 그 어느 때보다 물질적이고 세속적인 삶을 살고 있는 우리에게 진지한 인식과 성찰의 기회를 제공해 준다. 셋째, 상업 공간 디자인에 있어 팝아트의 도입은 이용자와의 친밀성과 교감이라는 측면에서 공감을 이끌어낼 수 있는 적절한 접근이라고 판단되며, 팝아트의 강렬한 색감과 다채로운 표현들은 공간의 심미적 완성도를 증가시켜 준다. 팝아트를 디자인에 접목함으로써 대중들이 공감할 수 있는 사회·시대·문화적 합의를 반영한 디자인을 얻을 수 있다. 팝아트가 끊임없이 삶과 예술의 접목을 시도했던 것처럼, 디자인과 팝아트의 접목은 지속적으로 연구할 만한 가치가 있는 주제라고 생각된다.;Consumer-oriented cultural phenomenon has been highlighted since the mid-20th century. This results in the pop art has become an instrument. In the current commercialism, the role of pop art is emphasized as commercial art. The pop art got rid of distinction between pure art and popular art. The pop art actively tried to accommodate the art of industrial society in reality. This research proposed design of small theater by introducing characteristics of pop art. To this end, theoretical study on the general characteristics about the pop art. Then, the representing characteristics of pop art and it's expression cases were analyzed. And finally, the experimental design was proposed. The below is the conclusion of this study. First, the type of representation is not important in pop art. The will to represent is more important. The pop art has unlimited potential what is flexible reborn by using required materials and techniques. Second, The pop art provides a opportunity to think about serious awareness to us. Last, The pop art helps common people with approaching art. The intense colors and diverse representation in pop art improve aesthetic perfection of space. We can get a great design by appling the characteristics of pop art. The combination of a design and the pop art is worth of researching continuously.
