선의 율동미를 응용한 패션디자인 연구

Abstract

21세기 현대사회에 각자의 개성을 추구하고 표현하는데 있어 자율성, 다양성, 독창성이 있는 디자인에 대한 관심이 더욱 높아지고 있으며, 여러 분야에 있어 가치 창출에 대한 다양한 방법을 모색하고 있다. 이러한 가운데 순수한 연관성을 가지면서 새로운 표현 기법에 따른 창의적인 발상들은 모든 예술 및 디자인 분야에 있어 다양하게 표출되고 있다. 소재의 선택은 예술과 디자인을 하는데 실루엣의 구성이나 이미지의 표현에 중요한 부분이며 디자인과의 조화도 이루어져야 하는데, 그 중 선은 형태의 시각적 요소이자, 형태 생성인자로서 그림을 통해 시각적 형태를 만들어 낸다. 또한 선을 통해 화가나, 건축가, 디자이너들은 사고나 개념, 분위기, 표현, 다양한 정보를 표현하고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 디자인의 기본 구성요소 중 선을 주된 디자인 모티브로 채택하여, 선의 율동적인 흐름과 꼬임 완만한 유동체의 표현을 기반으로 새로운 독창적인 실루엣과 디테일을 창출하고자 하였다. 또한 단위형태 중심으로 표현하여 선의 율동미의 다양한 부분을 나타내며 이들의 결합을 통한 확장된 이미지를 전달하고자 하였다. 본 연구의 목적은 단위형태의 결합을 통해 선적 율동미를 표출시켜 조형적 가치가 부여된 차별화된 패션디자인의 가능성을 제시하는 데 있다. 본 연구의 방법 및 내용은 첫째, 선의 개념 및 선의 율동미에 대한 이론적 고찰은 단행본, 학술지, 논문 등을 통해 고찰하고, 선의 율동미에 대한 표현 방법이 적용된 작품 사례들을 수집하여 분석하였다. 그리고 선은 디자인의 특성에 따라 구조적 디자인, 장식적 디자인으로 나누어 이에 따른 표현 기법을 살펴보고, 그에 따른 율동미를 응용한 현대 패션디자인 컬렉션을 중심으로 비교 분석 함으로써 이들의 디자인에서 보여 지는 선의 율동미에 대한 다양한 조형적 특성들을 도출하였다. 둘째, 단위형태의 정의와 단위형태가 갖고 있는 특성 및 결합효과에 관해서는 문헌을 통해 고찰하였고, 선의 율동미를 단위형태의 모티브에 적용시켜 이들의 갖는 효과와 상관관계를 실험하였다 셋째, 본 연구의 이론적 고찰을 통한 종합적 사고를 통해 인체의 공간에 대한 실험적인 접근으로 선의 율동미의 효율적인 조형표현을 위하여 단위형태의 결합을 주된 모티브로 하여 이에 대한 다양한 결합 구조에 따른 효과에 함께 입는 착용자의 개성에 따른 스타일 연출 및 다각도 시점에서의 응용미등 새로운 방법을 구축하였다. 이를 토대로 의상디자인에 응용하여 창조적이고 독창적인 조형미를 앞세운 디자인으로 총 8벌의 작품을 제작하였다. 본 연구의 이론적 고찰과 작품 제작을 통해 얻은 연구 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 디자인의 기본 구성요소인 선은 창의적인 디자인의 발상의 원천으로서, 참신한 장식적 기능을 지녀 자유로운 율동미를 보여주기에 무한한 잠재성이 있는 소재라는 것을 알 수 있었다. 둘째, 선의 자유로운 흐름의 연출을 위해 여러 표현 기법들 중 테이핑(Taping), 인터록킹(Interlocking), 다면체구성을 통해 이를 응용하여 선의 율동미를 다각적으로 표현할 수 있었다. 셋째, 선의 율동미를 기반으로 단위형태의 결합은 자유로운 형태의 변형과 크기의 확장을 표현하기에 다양성을 줄 수 있음을 알 수 있었다. 넷째, 다양한 단위형태들은 디자인 전개를 통해 복합단위형태로 구성되어지며 이러한 단위형태의 결합은 디자인에 통일감을 주는 동시에 변화를 유도할 수 있었다. 이에 본 연구는, 선은 디자인의 기본 구성 요소로서 다양한 기법을 통해 새로운 형태를 발견하여 이를 단위형태로 제작할 수 있었으며, 이러한 형태를 위한 끊임없는 관심과 노력, 열정은 다양한 스타일의 표현을 가능하게 하였다. 본 연구를 바탕으로 선의 율동미와 단위형태의 결합은 개발자에 따라 무궁무진한 디자인 발전 가능성을 펼칠 수 있기에 앞으로 새로운 조형미를 가진 디자인 전개 및 재료 개발에 창의적인 모티브로 활용 할 수 있기를 바란다.;In modern society of the 21th century, interests in autonomousness, variety and individualism are more increased for expressing individual characteristics and various methods for creative value are found in several areas. Meanwhile, creative ideas which have pure relations and new expressing methods are expressed variously in all artistic and design areas. The selection of material is important to organize silhouette or express image for art and design and must be harmonize with design. Among them, line is visual factor of form and makes visual form through pictures as a factor generating forms. Also, artists, architects and designers express thoughts, concepts, atmosphere, expression and various information through the line. Therefore, this study intended to create new creative silhouette and detail based on line's rhythmical stream and twist and gentle express of fluid by selecting line of design's basic components as a main concept. Also, it intends to express various parts of line's rhythmical beauty and convey the expanded image by their combination by expressing them focusing on the unit form. Therefore, the purpose of this thesis to express new formative changes by combining line's rhythmical beauty and unit form and possibility of aesthetic factor of differentiated fashion design which has aesthetic value. The methods and contents of this study are as followed. The first, the theoretical consideration for line's concept and its rhythmical beauty is conducted by books, journals, theses, etc. And work examples applied by expression for line's rhythmical beauty were collected and analyzed. And, line's expression methods were examined dividing into structural design and decorative design by the characteristics of design and it was compared and analyzed focusing on modern design collection applied by its rhythmical beauty. So, various formative characteristics for line's rhythmical beauty shown in the designs were drawn. The second, definition of unit form and characteristics and combination effects of unit form were considered by literary materials and their effects and relations were tested by applying line's rhythmical beauty to the motive of unit form. The third, through the synthetic thought and paradigm by various knowledge, effects of various combination structure and new methods such as style display by characteristics of wearers, applying beauty from the various standpoints, etc. were established by making the combination of unit form main motive, for the effective formative expression of line with experimental approach for physical space. Based on it, total 8 works were manufactured by the design setting creative and particular formative beauty at the head by applying to clothes design. The results obtained by rhe theoretical consideration and work manufacture in this study are as followed. The first, the line which is the basic component of design is a source of creative design's idea make a possibility of ornamental function design and find out unlimited potential for showing free rhythmical beauty. The second, for displaying line's free stream, taping, interlocking were used among the several expression methods. They express line's rhythmical beauty by mixing. The third, the combination of unit form based on line's rhythmical beauty expresses free changes of forms and expanding of size, so it takes diversity through them. The fourth, the combination of unit form could expressed by progressing the combined work by organization and synchronize to take the unity of design. Therefore, in this study, the line finds new forms by various methods as the basic structure of design and manufactures it by unit form. It makes continuous concerns, efforts and passion for the form express various styles. Based on this study, line's rhythmical beauty and combination of unit forms can display unlimited possibility of design development by developer, so it should be applied to unfold the design which has new formative beauty and apply it to develop materials with creative motive in the future.
