Sergei Rachmaninoff의 Cello Sonata Op.19에 대한 연구

Abstract

라흐마니노프(Sergei Rachmaninoff, 1873-1943)는 19세기 말부터 20세기로 넘어가는 시대 전환기에 활동하였던 러시아의 대표적인 작곡가 이다. 그는 이 시기에 나타난 급진적인 음악 경향에 영향을 받지 않고 19세기 후반의 낭만주의 음악에 심취하였다. 그의 음악은 러시아의 색채와 풍부한 화성과 서정적인 선율을 특징으로 하는 낭만적인 음악 경향을 보여주는 대표적인 낭만주의 작곡가이다. 라흐마니노프는 많은 피아노 작품을 비롯하여 성악곡, 오페라, 오케스트 라 작품, 실내악 작품, 종교 음악 등 다양한 장르의 음악을 작곡하였다. 그의 작품 중 첼로 소나타 Op.19는 그의 유일한 첼로 소나타 작품으로 그의 가장 뛰어난 실내악 작품으로 평가받는 작품이다. 첼로 소나타 Op.19는 고전 시대 소나타 양식에서 벗어나 낭만 시대의 좀더 자유로운 소나타의 모습을 보여주고 있으며 총 4개의 악장으로 이루어진다. g단조로 진행하는 1악장은 제 1주제와 제 2주제가 g단조와 D장조의 조성으로 진행되며 재현부에서 제 1주제가 재현되지 않고 제 2주 제만 재현되는 소나타 형식으로 이루어진다. 1악장의 g단조와 버금딸림조 관계인 c단조로 진행하는 2악장은 스케르초 풍의 A B A 3부분 형식을 취하고 있으며 느린 빠르기의 3악장은 c단조의 나란한 조인 Eb장조로 진 행하며 A B A’의 3부분 형식을 취한다. 그리고 이 작품의 마지막 4악장은 1악장과 같은 으뜸음 장조인 G장조로 진행되며 1악장과 같이 소나타 형식으로 이루어지며 제 1주제와 제 2주제가 각각 G장조와 D장조로 진 행된다. 이 작품은 서정적인 선율과 반음계적 진행, 풍부한 화성, 대위적 진행, 다양한 전조가 나타나며 라흐마니노프의 음악적 특징 이 잘 나타나 있다.;This thesis is studied on Sergei Rachmaninoff(1873-1943)’s sonata for cello and piano, Op.19 to understand his music and musical traits. Rachmaninoff is one of the representative Russian composers and pianists. He was not affected the new contemporary music mainstream but the late romanticism. Based on romanticism, he composed many genre works including piano, orchestra, and chamber works. Rachmaninoff’s Sonata for cello and piano, Op.19 is the only his cello sonata. This work, composed in 1901, has four movements. The first and the forth movement in sonata form, and the second and the third movement in three parts form. In special, the first movement in g minor is alternated sonata form because in a recapitulation of the first movement the first theme do not reappear. Also, the key relationship between the first and the second theme is dominant. The second movement is scherzo and in c minor that is the dominant key of the first movement’s key, g minor. And the second movement is in three part form, A B A. The third movement is in Eb major that is the relative key with the second movement’s key and in slow tempo. Like the second movement, the third movement is in A B A. The forth movement is in G major which is the same tonic key with the first movement’s and is in sonata form like the first movement. There are lyric melody, traditional harmonic progressions, various harmony, pedal point, frequent transition of keys and tone colors of concerto style. Like these characteristics, Rachmaninoff’s sonata for cello and piano, Op.19 shows his musical traits.
