베트남 여성 결혼이민자 대상 입국 전 한국어 교육과정 개발을 위한 요구분석

Abstract

The main intent of this study is to develop a proposal of Korean Language Curriculum for Vietnamese international marriage women before immigration into Korea. To achieve this goal, this research tried to look into the korean language education for Vietnamese international marriage women in Vietnam and analyze the needs of them. After entry into Korea, Vietnamese international marriage women experience various kinds of difficulties in their daily lives. These problems are due mainly to the lack of communicative competency and the cultural difference. The insufficient communicative competency can be attributed to the type of Korean learning that does not get accomplished systematically and substantially in their mother country. That is, the Korean language education curriculum does not reflect their needs and is not accomplished and harmonized with the real circumstances which they need to face in Korea. So, on the basis of needs assessment on the families in the international marriage, this research aims to design Korean language syllabus which can reflect practical Korean language usages in daily life. Chapter 1 is devoted to the necessities and purposes of the Korean language education for the international marriage women befor immigration into Korea and to the literature reviews on the same topics. Chapter 2 looks into the theoretical backgrounds of Korean language education for international marriage women. Chapter 3 reviews the research method of this paper which is the process of finding answer for the thesis question - the object of this study, data, measurement and process. Chapter 4 analyzes the survey result. The content of survey questionnaire was about three areas : I. Common Questions, II: Korean Language Learning in mother country and in Korea, III: Requirement about Korean Language education before immigration. Also in this chapter, Based on the analysis of the survey, and the scrutiny about present conditions of Korean language education for Vietnamese international marriage women in Vietnam, chapter 5 shows that there's a vast discrepancy between Korean language education for international marriage women and their needs. Chapter 6 suggests some suggestions on future development of Korean language syllabus and a sample of Korean language curriculum before immigration. Chapter 7 summarizes the discussions presents in previous chapters and examines some restrictions of the research, and proposals for future research.;본 연구는 베트남 여성 결혼이민자를 대상으로 요구분석을 실시함으로써 실제 베트남에서의 한국어 교육 현황 및 여성 결혼이민자의 요구를 파악하여 한국 입국 전 한국어 교육과정에 대한 요구분석을 통해 한국어 교육과정 개발 방안을 모색하고 제안하는 데 목적이 있다. 한국에 입국한 후 베트남 여성 결혼이민자들이 한국의 일상생활에서 여러 가지 어려움을 겪고 있는데 그 중에서 주로 의사소통 능력의 부족과 문화 차이로 인한 문제들이 발생하고 있다. 이러한 문제는 여성 결혼이민자의 모국에서 한국어 교육이 체계적이고 실질적으로 이루어지지 않고 있다는 데 주된 원인을 찾아 볼 수 있다. 이러한 상황에서 여성 결혼이민자를 위한 입국 전 모국에서의 한국어 교육을 효과적으로 실시하기 위해서는 무엇보다도 한국에 입국해서 체류하고 있는 선배 여성 결혼이민자들의 요구가 반영된 적합한 교육과정 개발이 이루어져야 한다고 생각한다. 이에 본 연구에서는 베트남 여성 결혼이민자의 요구조사를 기반으로 한국 생활에 적응하기 위해서 입국 전 모국에서의 실제로 필요한 한국어 교육 내용을 반영한 교수요목을 설계하고 교육과정의 예시안을 제시하고자 하였다. 본고는 다음과 같은 논의의 과정을 거쳤다. 1장에서는 여성 결혼이민자를 위한 입국 전 한국어 교육과정 개발 연구의 목적 및 필요성을 밝히고, 여성 결혼이민자 관련 선행 연구를 검토하였다. 이를 기반으로 하여 연구문제를 제시하였다. 2장에서는 여성 결혼이민자 대상 입국 전 한국어 교육의 이론적 배경이 되는 구성요소와 개발 전차를 포함한 교육과정 개발과 특수목적 외국어 교육과 관련 이론들을 살펴보았다. 3장에서는 연구문제에 대한 해답을 도출하기 위한 과정으로써 연구 방법 - 연구 대상, 측정 도구, 연구 절차, 자료 분석-에 대해 기술하였다. 4장에서는 우선 한국에 거주하는 베트남 여성 결혼이민자를 대상으로 한국어 관련 요구 조사를 실시하고 요구조사 결과를 분석하였다. 설문 내용은 크게 3개 영역으로 구성되어 있으며 I영역에서는 개인 정보, II영역에서는 모국에서의 한국어 학습 관한 정보, III영역에서는 모국에서 개발할 한국어 교육과정에 대한 요구에 대해 질문하였다. 4장에서 얻어낸 요구분석 결과를 바탕으로 작성한 프로그램 리스트에 근거를 두어 5장에서는 한국어 교육기관에서 운영하는 교육 프로그램을 평가하였다. 한국어 교육에 대한 일반적인 현황 조사 결과와 교육 프로그램 평가를 통해 베트남에서의 여성 결혼이민자를 위한 한국어 교육은 여성 결혼이민자의 요구를 관연 충분히 충족시키는지 알아보기 위한 것이다. 연구문제의 해답은 바로 본 연구에서의 베트남 여성 결혼이민자 대상 입국 전 한국어 교육과정 개발의 동기가 되었다. 6장에서는 앞장의 요구분석을 바탕으로 베트남 여성 결혼이민자 대상 한국 입국 전 한국어 교수요목의 설계 절차에 따라 실제 한국어 교수요목을 설계하였다. 교육목적과 목표 선정 후 한국어 교수요목의 유형은 통합적 교육요목(Intergrated Syllabus)으로 하였다. 한국어 교육 내용의 범주는 주제, 기능, 문화에 중점을 두어 결정하고 범주 안에서 교육 내용을 선정, 배열, 조직하여 실제적인 교수요목을 구성하였다. 이를 바탕으로 입국 전 한국어 교육과정의 모형을 제시하였다 7장에서는 앞의 논의를 다시 한 번 종합하여 연구의 결과를 요약하면서 본 연구의 제한점을 밝히면서 마무리 지었다. 이상의 논의와 관련되어 본 논문은 다음과 같은 의의를 갖는다. 첫째, 베트남 여성 결혼이민자의 요구분석을 통해 학습자의 특징과 요구를 잘 반영한 입국 전 한국어 교육과정 개발에 대한 긴급한 필요성이 있다고 확인하였다. 둘째, 요구분석 결과를 활용하면서 현지에서의 교육 현황을 조사함으로써 실제적인 교육과정 개발 방안을 제시하였다. 본 연구를 통해 여성 결혼이민자를 위한 한국어 교육에 대한 연구가 활발해지기를 기대한다.
