Johannes Brahms의 Violin Sonata No.2, Op.100에 대한 연구 분석

Abstract

18세기의 고전음악이 엄격한 형식과 전통을 중시한 데 반하여 19세기의 낭만주의 음악은 자기표출과 주관성을 중심으로 순수 음악자체를 중시하였다. Johannes Brahms(1833-1897)는 고전주의 형식안에서 낭만적 감성을 노래한 작곡가로 교향곡, 합창곡, 가곡, 실내악 등의 장르에 다양한 작품을 남겼다. 특히 실내악 곡 분야에서 커다란 발자취를 남겼으며 그 중 <Violin Sonata No.2,Op.100>은 그의 바이올린 소나타 중 가장 선율적이라는 평가를 받으며 그 안에 브람스의 음악기법이 잘 나타나 있다. 이 곡은 3악장으로 구성되어 있으며 제 1악장은 Sonata형식, 제 2악장은 3부형식, 제 3악장은 Rondo형식으로 되어있다. 제 1악장은 두 개의 주제를 반복, 모방, 확대시켜 나가며 제 2악장은 서로 다른 두 개의 주제가 번갈아가며 진행된다. 제 3악장은 따뜻한 주제선율을 가지며 제1,2악장의 주제동기를 새로운 요소로 사용했다. 세 개의 악장 모두 당김음, 2:3복합리듬, 지속음, 붓점리듬, 분산화음을 사용하였다. 본 논문은 브람스의 <Violin Sonata No.2,Op.100>을 형식, 선율, 리듬, 화성을 중심으로 분석하여 작품속에 나타나는 그의 음악세계를 살펴보고자 한다.;Johannes Brahms (1833-1897) is an independent 19th century composer, who kept the traditional format of the classicism, but complemented and altered it by integrating together with the romantic elements. He composed many works in various areas such as symphony, chorus, and songs throughout his entire lifetime. He left a big mark in the chamber music genre in particular. Among his works, <Violin Sonata No.2,Op.100> is composed of 3 movements with the 1st movement in Sonata format, 2nd movement in 3 parts format, and the 3rd movement in Rondo format, which is a traditional format. In the 1st movement, you can see the traditional characteristics of the theme which are from the introductory part repeated, mimicked, advanced and the progressive characteristics of chromatic scale type flow, discord, irregular rhythm, and the use of continuant sound. The 2nd movement is composed of AB-A'B'-A"B", in which the two themes are presented one by one, and show the characteristics of contrasting speed, crossing of parts, continuant sound, repetition of theme, and alterations. The 3rd movement is composed of Rondo format with A‘, B, A’‘,C, B’,A’’, Coda, and abundant melody stands out. Although the melodies and the harmony sound simpler compared to the 1st , the 2nd movement, they give a colorful impression using dispersed chords. There are use of arpeggio and crossing of parts, and the synchronization of the 1st movement reappears giving the unified sense. Brahms uses the traditional Sonata format externally, but the romantic personality is expressed in the harmony, melody, and rhythm internally making the balance and harmony. Brahms is a progressive composer who established his own music style by harmonizing the traditional elements and the romantic elements, rather than being stirred by the contemporary art trend.
