Johannes Brahms의 Clarinet Sonata Op.120 No.2에 관한 연구 및 분석

Abstract

19세기 후기 낭만파 시대를 이끈 요하네스 브람스 (Johannes Brahms, 1833-1897) 는 낭만주의가 유럽전역을 휩쓸던 시대에 살면서도 고전주의의 맥을 이은 음악가이다. 그는 고전적인 전통적 기법을 지키면서 동시에 낭만적인 풍부한 감성을 효과적으로 융합하여 자신만의 독자적인 음악세계를 구축하였다. 본 논문에서 다룰 클라리넷 소나타 Op.120, No.2 는 3개의 악장으로 구성 되어있으며, 브람스 말년의 작품으로 고전주의에 더 큰 비중을 두고 낭만주의 작곡기법을 도입한 가장 원숙한 작품이라고 할 수 있다. 제 1악장은 고전적 양식에 의한 전형적인 소나타 형식, 제 2악장은 트리오를 포함하는 스케르초 악장으로 복합 3부 형식, 제 3악장은 주제와 5개의 변주곡을 포함하는 변주곡 형식으로 되어있다. 당김음과 불규칙 리듬이 많이 쓰였고, 이명동음에 의한 전조, 반음계적 전조, 같은 으뜸음조로의 전조등 다양한 방법의 전조가 쓰여 졌다. 또한 선율에 있어서 대위법적 모방이 많이 사용 되었다. 본 논문은 작곡가 브람스의 생애와 음악적 특징들을 알아보고 전 악장을 중심으로 곡의 구조와 형식에 대해 분석하고자 한다. 아울러 본 논문을 통해 브람스의 작품을 올바르게 이해하여 이곡을 연주하는데 도움이 되고자 한다.;Johannes Brahms (1833-1897), who led the late Romantic period, continued in the ways of the Classical period, while living at a time when Romanticism was sweeping over all of Europe. He constructed his own unique musical world, integrating the Romantic abundance of sentiments into the traditonal Classical forms. The Clarinet Sonata Op.120 No.2 consists of 3 movements and was composed late in Brahms life. It is one of the most mature works that uses the Romantic compositional techniques with still a lot of emphasis on Classicism. The first movement Allegro amabile has the typical Classical sonata form, the second movement Allegro appassionato is a scherzo with a trio in the compound ternary form, and the third movement Andante con moto is a variation with a subject and five different variations. Syncopation and irregular rhythms are liberally used and various different ways of modulation including enharmonic, chromatic, and tonic modulations, can be seen. Counterpoint imitation is favoured in a lot of the melodies. This dissertation is intended to examine the life and musical characteristics of the composer Johannes Brahms. Therefore structure and form of the whole work will be discussed. I hoped to enhance the performance of this work by thoroughly investigating and advancing the understanding of it through this discussion.
