국제회의 스페셜이벤트에 나타난 문화, 예술 공연 기획의 실태연구

Abstract

Through internationalization, there has been an increasing trend towards a growth in the interest in the area of international conferences and conventions, thus recently; the industry's development has led to a new incline in art performances. Until now, research related to international conventions has generally been of a broad nature and perspective and largely focused on being promotional in nature, therefore crucial components of the small field was excluded from research conducted in this area. Through changes in globalization trends, international conferences have gained significance and an increased significance placed on international conferences inclusive of art performance has led to an increased need to understand this genre and field. Following this, the aim of this research was to understand the reasons behind, and observe the current condition the gradual recognition of the increase and interest in international conference and art performance, and to analyse the reality of the status of projects for art performance to professionals in the field of international conference. Moreover, through the observation of the role of art performance and the identification of the success and failure factors, it aims to provide the basic foundation of material on art performance in international conference. The gathering of information and research required focused on various aspects and use particular sources of information, and followed the proposal: First, through existing literature, interviews and consultation with professional s in the field the industry of art performance and international conferences were analysed. Second, case investigations and studies attempted to thoroughly understand the role of art performance in international conferences. Third, causes of success and failure of art performance were identified. To understand the current status quo, and future potential of art performance, data collection for research purposes took place in 2 parts. First, quantitative research involved an analysis of the most current and recent factors pertaining to art performance in international conference and the importance of these. Questionnaires involved a compilation of current literature and dictionary references to prepare a final set of questions that were then distributed. Out of the 125 in total distributed, 86 were collected and the data was entered into the MS Excel 2003 program which was used for further analysis. Second, qualitative research involved 10 professional conference organizers and 22 international conference participants in an open questionnaires to understand the role of art performance the factors that relate to its success and failure. Because of a lack of an existing research base or precedent, there were clear limitations to the research thesis proposed, which attempted to analyse the current status and characteristics of the success and failures art performance in international conference. The observed literature was often incomplete or significantly different to observations in the field, which is why the system of open questionnaires with professionals in the international conference field was implemented. Despite this, the opinions of these professionals often differed, making it difficult to reach definite conclusions. The research material encountered also inferred the restrictions and barriers involved in collecting information for the area.;국제화로 인해 국제회의 산업에 대한 사회적 관심이 높아지면서 국제회의는 증가추세에 있으며, 최근 국제회의 산업의 발달에 따라 새로운 경향으로 문화, 예술 공연이 부각되고 있다. 지금까지 나온 국제회의 스페셜이벤트에 관한 연구는 대부분 거시적인 안목에서 국제회의 전반의 진흥방안에 초점이 맞추어져 있었고, 국제회의 스페셜이벤트를 구성하는 가장 중요한 구성 업무 중 하나인 문화, 예술 공연에 관한 연구는 거의 이루어지지 않았다. 그러나 오늘날 세계화의 흐름 속에서 국제회의가 증대해 가고 문화, 예술 공연이 포함되어있는 국제회의 스페셜이벤트가 증가함에 따라 문화, 예술 공연에 대한 이해의 필요성도 점차 증가되고 있다. 이에 본 연구의 목적은 날로 그 중요성과 관심이 더해가고 있는 국제회의 스페셜이벤트에 포함되는 문화, 예술 공연에 관한 실태를 파악하고 국제회의 전문가가 실제로 행하고 있는 문화, 예술 공연 기획에 대한 중요도를 분석, 문화, 예술 공연의 역할과 문화, 예술 공연 기획의 성공 및 실패요인을 파악을 통하여 국제회의 스페셜이벤트 문화, 예술 공연의 기초 자료로 제공하고자 한다. 이 연구를 위한 구체적인 연구문제는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 국제회의 스페셜이벤트 문화, 예술 공연을 문헌연구 및 전문가 인터뷰, 사례조사를 통해 파악한다. 둘째, 국제회의 스페셜이벤트에서 문화, 예술 공연의 역할에 대해 파악한다. 셋째, 국제회의 스페셜이벤트에서 문화, 예술 공연의 성공 및 실패요인이 무엇인지를 파악한다. 문화, 예술 공연의 현황 및 기획요인 파악을 위해 연구 자료가 2단계에 걸쳐 수집되었다. 1차 양적 연구에서는 현재 국제회의 스페셜이벤트의 문화, 예술 공연 현황 및 기획 요소의 수행정도와 중요도를 분석하였다. 설문지는 문헌연구와 사전 조사를 통하여 최종문항이 결정되었고 총 125부를 배포하여 86부를 회수하였으며, 수집된 자료는 MS-EXCEL 2003 프로그램을 사용하여 내용 분석하였다. 2차 질적 연구에서는 국제회의 전문가 10명과 국제회의 참가자 22명을 대상으로 개방형 설문을 통하여 문화, 예술 공연의 역할과 성공 및 실패요인을 파악하였다. 수거한 설문은 MS-EXCEL 2003 프로그램을 사용하여 내용 분석하였다. 결과분석에 대한 신뢰도를 확보하기 위해 제2의 코더에게 코딩과정을 설명하고 연구자가 코딩한 것과 동일한 데이터를 코딩하게 한 후 코딩 결과의 상관관계를 통하여 코더 간 신뢰도를 확보하였다. 이 연구논문은 국제회의 스페셜이벤트의 문화, 예술 공연의 현황 및 특성 파악과 문화, 예술 공연의 성공 및 실패 요인에 대해 분석하였으나 기존의 선행연구가 없어 한계성을 지니고 있다. 문헌고찰 내용이 미비하고 현장과 차이가 있을 수 있기 때문에 국제회의 전문가와의 면접법을 실시하였으나, 전문가의 의견이 다른 경우도 있어 어려운 점이 많았다. 또한 국제회의 스페셜이벤트의 문화, 예술 공연에 대한 기초 자료로 제시되었다는 데에 그 의의가 있다.
