Franz Liszt의 <Piano Sonata in B Minor> 분석 연구

Abstract

리스트는 19세기 낭만주의 음악에 중대하고 독특한 공헌을 한 인물 이었다. 그는 작곡가로서, 피아니스트, 지휘자로서 명성을 떨쳤으며 그는 급진적이고 새로운 형식과 화성의 음악적 개념을 작곡, 편곡하여 새로운 방법들을 시도하였다. 리스트는 ‘주제 변형 수법(Transformation of Themes)’을 개발하였으며 독창적인 그의 음악 어법은 인상주의 작곡가들에게 영향을 주었다. 그리고 대담한 그의 화성 진행은 20세기 무조 음악의 기법과의 연관성을 시사하 기도 한다. 리스트는 피아니스트로써 전 생애를 통하여 피아노를 위한 작품을 많이 작곡하였다. 이 중 가장 대표적인 피아노 작품으로는 <피아노 소나타 b단 조>를 들 수 있다. 이 작품은 기존 형식적 규범들을 거부하고 소나타의 구성 원리를 새롭게 해석한 탁월하고 흥미로운 작품이다. 이 작품은 그의 생애 중 바이마르 시기(1848~1861)에 작곡되었으며 슈만이 리스 트에게 <환상곡(Fantasy) op.17>를 헌정한 것에 대한 답례로 리스트가 슈만에게 헌정한 작품이다. 이는 1857년에 뷜로우(Han von Bulow 1830~ 1894)에 의해 대중 앞에서 초연되었다. 이 작품은 고전 소나타의 형식과는 달리 여러 악장의 구성이 아닌 단일 악장이면서 조성적인 면에서는 고전 소나타의 조성을 고수하는 독특한 작 품이다. 또한 이 곡은 피아노의 표현 가능성을 최대한 발휘할 수 있도록 하여 오케스트라와 같은 풍부함과 음향적 색채감을 구사하는 효과를 거 두고 있으며, 곡 전체에 통일성을 부여하는 주제변형기법을 성공적으로 사용하고 있는 곡이다. 각 소재들은 전 곡을 통해서 음형적, 선율적, 단편 적, 성격적으로 응용되고 리듬의 확대와 축소, 순환형식과 주제적 변주의 조화, 성격적인 변형 및 전위 등 다양한 변화를 나타내고 있다. 리스트의 유일한 피아노 소나타인 <피아노 소나타 b단조>는 19세기 소나타 역사에서 낭만주의의 새로운 소나타 형태를 제시한 중요한 작품 으로 평가되어 오늘날에도 계속 연구 분석되어질 가치가 있는 걸작이라 하겠다.;This study aimed to analyze the Piano Sonata in b minor composed by Franz Liszt, which was in the list of the graduate recital. As a composer, Liszt was a major figure in Romantic Music who was celebrated during his lifetime as Europe’s greatest pianist. Liszt became renowned throughout Europe during the 19th century for his great skill as a performer. Liszt was said by his contemporaries to have been the most technically advanced pianist of his age and perhaps the greatest pianist of all time. He was also an important and influential composer, a notable piano teacher, a conductor who contributed significantly to the modern development of the art, and a benefactor to other composers and perfomers. Liszt influenced his forward looking contemporaries and anticipated some 20th century ideas and trend. He invented the symphonic poem for orchestra and the method of "transformation of themes", by which one or two themes in different forms can the basis for an entire work. As great pianist, he composed many works for piano. Of these, <Piano Sonata in B minor> was composed in 1852~1853 during the Weimar, and first performed on January 27, 1857 in Berlin by Liszt pupil and son-in-law. it was dedicated Robert Schumann, in return for Schumann’s dedication of his Fantasia in op. 17 to Liszt. It was attacked by conservative critics and the pianist and composer. However, the sonata drew an enthusiastic compliment. the sonata is notable for being constructed from a small number of motivic element that are woven into an enormous musical architecture. His "transcendental" piano technique was similarly imaginative, springing form a desire to make the piano sound like an orchestra or as rich in scope as one. in harmony he venturedwell beyond the use of augmented and diminished chords and the whole-tone scle, the late piano and choral works especially contain tonal clashes arising from independent contrapuntal strands, chords built from 4ths or 5ths, and advanced chromaticisim . This piano sonata in b minor is considered Liszt’s greatest and most technically and emotionally difficult composition for solo piano. It would be worth to analyze the which influenced in 19th century Romantic Music.
