시대변화에 따른 미술관의 전시변화에 대한 연구

Abstract

미술관 전시에 대한 시대적 변화에 따른 통시적인 접근은 전시 변화 양상을 관찰하고 미래의 변화 양상을 예측하는데 기본적 역할을 하며, 이에 따라 미술관이 추구할 수 있는 문화 인프라를 확충하고 조명할 수 있는 바탕이 될 것으로 본다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 미술관 전시의 중심에 서 있는 서울시립미술관을 대상으로 미술 전시 구조나 내용 및 관람객의 변화 양상과, 현재 관람객이 보는 미술관의 변화에 대해 고찰하여 미술관이 나아가야 할 방향을 제시하고자 하였다. 나아가 미술관이 문화예술의 장이 되는 공간으로 이용자의 이해와 소통으로 문화 공간 이용에 만족하고 문화적 욕구 충족에 도움을 줄 수 있는 문화서비스 기반에 기초자료를 제공하고자 한다. 고찰결과 서울시립미술관은 전시의 시대적 변화 흐름에 따라 적절히 변화되었으며, 과거의 단순한 전시 관람 형태에서 현재는 소통과 참여하는 형태로 변하고 있으며 추세에 따라 각종의 행사와 교육프로그램을 실시하여 시민과 함께 하는 미술관으로 자리매김하고 있다. 특히 <찾아가는 미술체험교실>을 열어 시민에게 미술 작품을 공유하고 감상의 기회를 늘려 서울시립미술관의 주요 특성인 대중성과 공공성을 확장시키고자 하였다. 또한, 미술관 전시는 관람객과 소통해야 하며, 미술 작품뿐만 아니라 전시 공간 및 내용 같은 부수적 구조도 매개체로서 관람객의 요구에 부응하고자 노력하고 있다. 또, 서울시립미술관에 내원한 관람객 대상의 설문조사를 고찰한 결과, 미술관에 방문하기 어려운 것은 여전히 시간적 여유가 없는 것이 가장 큰 이유로 나타나 5일 근무제 확대에도 불구하고 현대 시민이 문화생활을 하는 데 있어 가장 큰 문제는 시간적 여유임을 알 수 있었고, 과거보다 관람 동선이 자유롭고 다원화되었다. 하지만, 서울시립미술관은 오래 되지 않은 문화적 공간으로, 전시 구조나 전시 역사, 전시 관람객의 일반적인 변화 구조에 대한 연구 자료가 많지 않았으며, 전시 주제나 내용 또한 과거의 일반적인 미술대전이나 협회전의 일반 전시로부터 어떤 주제를 통해 대중성과 공공성을 두는 데 역점을 두고 있었다. 또, 국제전시보다 국내전시가 월등히 많아 시립미술관의 한계를 엿볼 수 있다.;A Diachronic Study of the art gallery exhibition changes with the changes of the time plays basic roles to observe the aspect of the exhibition changes and predict the aspect of the future changes, so it will be the foundation to shed the culture infrastructure which the art gallery can follow. Therefore the research considers around the seoul museum of art, the center of the art museum, about the exhibition's structures, contents, the aspect of the changes of the audience and the way of the current audience sees the art gallery and shows the direction which the art gallery should go. And also the research provides the basic informations for the art gallery to be used as the place of the culture and art, to satisfy the cultural desires. As the result, the seoul museum of art has been changed properly with the changes of the time and it changes from the simple exhibition in the past to the place of the communication and participation and has various programmes and events for the peoples. Especially they holds 'mobile art class' to the peoples to give more chances to share the art pieces and appreciate it and expands the publicity and popularity of the main characteristics of the seoul museum of art. And the seoul museum of art is trying to communicate with the audiences and meet the requirement of the audiences as the place of the exhibition and other functions. Besides, we researches the audiences of the seoul museum of art and it shows that the best reasons that people can't visit the museum is that they have time limitation even though most of people works only for 5 days a week. However the seoul museum of art is not very old so they don't have much data bases about the changes of the structure, history of the exhibitions and the changes of the audiences and they have domestic art exhibitions much more than overseas art exhibitions which is the limitation of the public museum and most of the themes of the seoul museum of art are focused on the publicity and popularity.
