플로랄 패턴을 활용한 다기능성 아트웨어

Abstract

21세기 현대인들은 글로벌 경쟁 속에서 살면서, 엄청나게 쏟아지는 정보와 상품들에 둘러싸여 살아간다. 산업사회에서 대중은 실용과 편리를 근간으로 제품을 소비했다면, 정보화시대의 대중들은 가치를 소비한다. 절대적인 이데올로기나 가치는 없다. 모든 것은 개인의 취향과 스타일에 의해 결정된다. 현대사회에서 취향과 스타일은 과거처럼 특정 지역에 사는 일부 계층의 전유물이 아니다. 경제적 문제에서 벗어나 문화적 안목을 키워온 대중들은 자신의 취향과 스타일로 모든 분야에 영향력을 발휘한다. 개인의 라이프스타일은 과거 그 어느 때보다 다양한 욕망을 실현하고 싶어 한다. 그 중 예술, 아름다움에 대한 욕구는 점점 커져서 생활 속에서 예술을 찾고 누리고 즐기려는 대중들이 늘어나고 이러한 대중들의 경향은 디자인과 아트 분야에도 변화를 만들고 있다. 이제 산업사회의 실용/비실용, 대중/애호가 개념의 디자인과 아트의 구분은 더 이상 무의미하다. 디자인은 아트가 되어가고, 아트는 디자인과 만나 대중 속에 파고들고 있고 퓨전, 하이브리드, 크로스오버, 컨버전스 라는 말에 대중은 익숙해지고 있다. 이러한 탈장르의 개념 속에서 본 연구자는 논문연구를 진행함에 있어 섬유소재, 아트 패브릭 등의 연구에 그치지 않고 입을 수 있는 다양한 연출이 가능한 디자인의 의상을 제작하여 아트와 디자인이 결합되고. 더 나아가 다양한 소비자들의 구매 욕구를 충족시킬 수 있는 합리적이고 실용적인 디자인으로 경쟁력 있는 고 부가가치 상품으로서의 방향도 모색하고자 하였다. 이를 위한 연구의 내용은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 예술을 표현하는데 있어서 자연이 주는 의미와 상징성 특히 플로랄이 많은 예술가들과 디자이너들에 의해서 최고의 소재로 선택되어진 이유와 의미에 대해서 알아보고 특히 텍스타일 패턴디자인에 있어서 플로랄패턴의 중요성과 실제 예술작품과 다자인 사례들을 통해 살펴보았다. 그중 메리골드의 형태적 특징과 꽃잎의 주름에 대해 알아보고 다양한 스티치 방법으로 메리골드가 보여주는 아름다운 텍스쳐를 부조적인 패턴으로 표현하였다. 둘째, 복식사에 나타난 다양한 연출이 가능한 의상의 사례와 현대 디자인에 있어서 다기능성의상의 의의와 정의를 분석하고 실제 디자인 사례를 분석해 보았다. 셋째, 환편니트(다이마루)와 스판덱스 소재에 대해서 살펴보고 신축성이 있는 원단이 주는 장점들을 최대한 활용해 실용성 있는 다양한 연출이 가능한 의상을 제작하였다. 넷째, 패션 스타일에 있어서는 아트패브릭의 패턴 모티브를 최대한 강조하기 위해서 가장 심플한 기본 도형을 선택해 디자인 하였다. 이러한 연구 과정을 통하여 얻은 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 플로랄중 메리골드의 이미지를 스티치 기법과 슬러시 기법을 이용해서 부조적 플로랄 패턴으로 표현 할 수 있었다. 둘째, 부조적으로 표현된 플로랄 패턴을 활용한 아트패브릭으로 다양한 연출이 가능한 다기능성 아트웨어를 제작하였다. 셋째, 아트웨어를 제작하는데 있어서 심플하고 활용도 있는 기본 다섯 개의 도형을 활용 하였고 탄성이 있는 섬유를 사용하여 최소한의 절개와 변화로 입을 수 있는 다양한 연출이 가능한 의상 디자인으로 표현하였다. 본 연구는 실고무를 활용한 자연스런 주름과 부조적 형태를 강조한 플로랄 패턴으로 아트패브릭을 제작하고 더 나아가 효과적인 재단으로 주름(drapery)이 잘 표현된 의상으로 디자인 하여 여성스럽고 우아한 그러면서도 심플한 아트웨어를 제작하고 더 나아가 상품으로서의 가치도 모색하여 보았다.;In the 21st century global competition of modern life, surrounded by huge live pour information and products.
