청소년 하프 기초교재 분석 및 연구

Abstract

최근 문화 예술에 대한 사회적 관심과 참여가 높아짐에 따라 다양한 분야에서 예술 활동이 활발히 이루어지고 있다. 특히, 기악 활동은 풍부한 음악적 경험을 제공하고 정서적 안정과 더불어 바람직한 가치관을 형성한다는 점에서 주목받고 있는데 이 중에서도 새로운 것에 대한 배움의 추구로 조금씩 발전하고 있는 하프 교육을 눈여겨 볼 수 있다. 하프는 악기의 특성상 청소년기에 활발한 교육이 이루어지는데 현재 국내에서는 청소년 초급 학습자를 위한 하프 교재가 적절히 제시되고 있지 못한 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구의 목적은 현재 사용되고 있는 청소년 하프 기초교재 내용을 분석하여 기초교재의 장·단점을 살펴보고 문제점에 대한 개선방안을 제시함으로써 앞으로 우리나라 실정과 정서에 맞는 청소년 하프 기초교재 개발에 도움을 주고자 하는 것이다. 본 연구의 이론적 배경에서는 문헌 연구를 통하여 청소년 학습자의 발달 특징과 청소년 기악교육의 중요성, 하프의 고찰 및 교재의 정의와 음악교재 선택 기준에 대하여 살펴보았다. 그리고 청소년들이 사용하는 기초교재와 교재 분석 시 필요한 주법 평가기준을 마련하기 위하여 현재 서울·경기 지역 예술 중학교와 고등학교에서 하프를 지도하는 강사 선생님들을 대상으로 설문 인터뷰 조사를 실시하였고, 설문을 통해『초보자를 위한 실용 하프교본Ⅰ』과『르니에 메쏘드Ⅰ』을 분석 교재로 선정하였다. 선정된 두 기초교재는 하프 강사들의 설문 인터뷰 및 교재분석 관련 참고문헌을 토대로 마련된 평가기준에 따라 악기소개, 기본 연주 자세, 주법, 리듬과 박자, 연습곡, 기타 교재형태를 중심으로 분석이 이루어졌으며, 이러한 내용분석을 통하여 각 교재의 장·단점을 살펴보고 문제점에 대한 개선방안을 제시하였다. 연구 결과, 두 교재에서는 기초 테크닉 연습이 다양하게 제시되는 장점도 있었지만 대체적으로 비슷한 문제점이 발견되었으며, 문제점에 대한 개선방안을 다음과 같이 제시할 수 있다. 첫째, 악기소개 내용에서는 학습자들의 악기에 대한 지식부족은 연주의 비효율성 및 악기를 소흘히 하는 문제점을 야기하므로 줄 교체 방법에 대한 설명과 더불어 악기에 대한 기초지식이 폭넓게 제시되어야 한다. 둘째, 기본 연주 자세에서는 기본자세에 대한 학습자들의 올바른 이해를 돕기 위하여 오른손 자세 뿐 만이 아니라 왼손 자세도 구체적인 설명과 함께 손가락과 팔이 연계된 학습으로 제시되어야 한다. 셋째, 주법에서는 청소년 초급 학습자들이 숙지해야 하는 운지법, 아르페지오, 하모닉스, 에투페, 프레 들 라 따블, 글리산도, 슬라이드, 트릴, 페달 학습이 기초 연주법을 중심으로 교재에 모두 제시되어야 하며 학습자 수준에 적절한 연습곡을 통한 체계적인 학습도 이루어져야 한다. 넷째, 리듬과 박자 학습에서는 다양한 리듬과 박자가 연습곡에 제시되어야 하며, 이론학습 또한 청소년 학습자들의 음악적 이해를 돕기 위하여 반드시 교재에서 다루어져야 한다. 다섯 째, 연습곡은 다양한 주법의 균형적인 학습이 이루어질 수 있도록 주법에 따른 기초 연습곡이 고르게 제시되어야 하며, 연주곡은 청소년 학습자들의 풍부한 음악적 체험과 연주에 대한 흥미를 유발시킬 수 있는 다양한 장르 및 형태의 곡으로 구성되어야 한다. 여섯 째, 기타 교재형태에서 교재는 한글로 제시되어야 하며, 악보의 크기 또한 초급자들이 보기 쉬운 큰 악보로 구성되어야 한다. 그리고 연습곡과 전체 교재의 길이는 학습자들이 성취감을 느낄 수 있는 적절한 길이로 제시되어야 한다. 현재 국내에서 하프 연주곡과 연주법에 대한 연구는 많이 제시되고 있지만 하프 교육 및 교재와 관련된 연구는 전혀 이루어지고 있지 않는 실정으로 본 연구는 국내 하프교육을 위한 교재 연구를 처음으로 제시하였다는 점에서 큰 의의를 지니며 하프 교재연구의 시초를 마련했다고 볼 수 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서 제시되어진 청소년 기초교재 개선방안을 바탕으로 앞으로 교재 연구와 개발이 좀 더 적극적으로 이루어진다면 청소년 학습자의 수준과 특성을 고려한 보다 나은 기초교육이 바람직하게 제시될 수 있을 것이라 여겨진다.;As the social interest and participation in cultural art is getting higher these days, the artistic activity is being performed in diverse fields. Especially, the instrumental activity is being noted in a sense that offers richly musical experience and forms desirable value along with emotional stability. Even out of this, the Harp education, which is being developed due to a pursuit for learning about novelty, may be observed closely. Harp is actively educated during adolescence in light of characteristics in musical instrument. It is the real situation that the harp teaching material for primary-level learners in the youth fails to be properly presented now at home. Accordingly, the purpose of this study is to examine merits and demerits of primary-level teaching materials for the youth by analyzing contents of teaching materials for the youth, which are being now used, and is to be conducive to further developing the primary-level teaching material for the youth in line with our country's real situation and emotion. As for the theoretical background of this study, it examined about the adolescent learners' developmental characteristics, the importance of instrumental education for the youth, the consideration of Harp, the definition of teaching material, and the standard for selecting the music text, through literature research. And, to arrange the standard for evaluation of rendition, which is necessary given analyzing the primary-level teaching materials and teaching materials that adolescents use, the questionnaire research of interview was carried out targeting lecturer teachers who now instruct Harp at Art Middle Schools and High Schools in Seoul nad Gyeonggi area. As a result of questionnaire, it selected『Practical method for grand harp and irish harpⅠ』and『Henriette Renie Complete method for harpⅠ』as the analytically teaching materials. It first examined the whole composition of two teaching materials, which were selected and the contents in instrumental material were analyzed, along with basic performing posture, rendition, rhythm & beat, etude, and other teaching-related material. It examined the merits and demerits of the teaching materials through this, and proposed improvements for the various problems. As a result of research, two teaching materials had merit in which the basic technique practice is being proposed diversely, but were mostly discovered even similar problem. The improvement plans for this problem may be suggested as follows. First, in the contents of instrumental introduction, the learners' lack of knowledge on musical instrument leads to inefficiency in performance and to a problem about being indifferent to musical instrument. Thus, the basic knowledge on musical instrument needs to be proposed broadly along with explaining about stringing the harp. Second, in the basic performance posture, to help learners with right understanding about basic posture, there is necessity for being suggested learning that is connected with the finger & arm posture along with specific description even in the left-hand posture as well as the right-hand posture. Third, in rendition, Fingering with Chord & Scale, Arpeggio, Harmonics, Etouffer, Pres de la table, Glissando, Slide, Trill, and placing the pedals in playing, about which primary-level learners in the youth need to know well, should be all presented to the teaching material in the basic performance method. Even the systematic learning needs to be performed through the etude proper for the learner's level. Fourth, in the learning of rhythm and beat, diverse rhythms and beats need to be proposed in etude. The theoretical learning needs to be also addressed surely in teaching material in order to help adolescent learners with musical understanding. Fifth, in an etude, the basic etude needs to be suggested evenly according to rendition so that the balanced learning in diverse renditions can be learnt. The etude needs to be composed of diverse kinds and forms in order to possibly cause adolescent learners to have richly musical experience and to have interest in performance. Sixthly, in other teaching-material forms, the teaching material needs to be proposed in Korean alphabet. Even size in a musical score needs to be formed with big musical score so that beginners can see easily. And, the length in etude and whole teaching materials should be proposed proper length so that learners can obtain a sense of achievement. Although there are domestically several suggestions of the researches regarding harp performing songs and methods, the researches in regard to harp education and teaching materials actually don’t have many cases of study. So this study has domestically the important point based on the first research of teaching materials for harp education. Besides this study would be considered as the first suggestion of research for harp teaching materials. Given being made more positively a research on teaching material and development in teaching material in the domestically Harp educational circles based on the improvement plans for primary-level teaching materials for the youth in this way, the better basic education will be able to be proposed desirably, which would consider adolescent learners' level and characteristics.
