자연이미지의 조형화를 통한 환상적 표현의 시각화 연구

Abstract

Fantasy has become a main theme forming a core of literature and many other art genres in the East and the West, and fantastic images are coming close to our daily lives, while being expanded and reproduced constantly through media of digital, an axis of new culture. This study intended to examine how the fusion of reality and fantasy can be visualized by expressing visually the fantasy that has become a new culture code. In my works, images within memories exchange with images acquired in life, stimulate the emotions hidden inside and are expressed on a screen. It's because artists pursue creative inner world and fantasy escaped from monotonous daily life and their infinite imagination is stimulated consciously or unconsciously while keeping real world at a distance, which we always contact with. To create works for visualization of fantasy expression, I studied nature, which is a source of art and has much effect on aesthetic consciousness. Though many artist have been inspired by nature, reinterpret nature as a source of art and substantialized it in the formative shape, this study intends to create fantastic image by artist's imagination that can not be realized in everyday lives rather than depict nature itself. Human beings always interact with nature and feel aesthetic elements by experiencing mystery, order and harmony in nature. Therefore, I visualized the emotions from nature into fantasy containing inner images by borrowing image of natural objects, revealed imagination on the basis of emotional consensus from or experience of healing by nature, and created works with moderate expression and interpretation of light of my own through metaphorical introduction. This study intends to express the boundary between consciousness and unconsciousness shown in imaginary world on the basis of internalized background of images in nature as a fantastic space to which various colors and image merging are applied and enrich the formation of new inner world of my own more richly.;환상(Fantasy)은 동서양을 막론하고 문학과 여러 예술장르의 핵심을 구성하는 주요 테마로 자리매김을 하고 있으며, 환상적 이미지는 새로운 문화의 한 축을 형성하고 있는 디지털이라는 매개체를 통해 지속적인 확대, 재생산을 거처 우리의 일상으로 깊이 파고들고 있다. 본 연구에서는 이처럼 새로운 문화코드로 자리 잡은 환상을 시각적으로 표현함으로서 우리가 존재하는 현실과 환상의 융합이 어떻게 시각화될 수 있는가를 살펴보고자 하였다. 본인의 작품에 있어서 현실과 환상의 경계는 직접적인 창작의 원동력으로써 출발지이기 때문에 기억속의 내재된 표상은 나아가 삶에서 체득된 이미지와 교류하고 내면의 숨겨진 감정을 자극하여 화면에 표출된다. 예술가는 평이한 일상 속에서 벗어난 독창적인 내면세계와 환상을 추구하며 작가들의 무한한 상상력은 우리가 늘 접하고 있는 현실의 세계로부터 의식적으로 혹은 무의식적으로 일정한 긴장감을 유지하며 자극을 받기 때문이다. 환상표현의 시각화를 위한 작품 전개를 위해, 예술의 근원이자 인간의 미의식에 많은 영향을 끼치는 자연을 대상으로 연구를 진행하였다. 많은 예술가들이 자연에서 영감을 얻고 예술의 소재로 자연을 재해석하여 조형적 형태로 실체화 시켜 왔는데, 본 연구에서는 자연을 그대로 묘사하는 것이 아니라 작가의 상상력에 의해 일상 속에서는 경험 할 수 없는 환상적 이미지를 만들어 내는 것이다. 인간은 자연과 늘 상호성을 가지며 자연 속에서 신비함과 질서, 조화를 체험해 미적인 요소를 느끼기 때문에 본인은 그 자연에서 받은 감동을 자연물의 이미지를 차용하여 내적 심상이 내재된 환상성으로 시각화 하였으며 생명의 근원인 자연으로부터 느끼는 정서적 교감이나 치유의 체험을 바탕으로 상상력을 발현하고 은유적 도입을 통해 본인만의 절제된 표현력과 빛의 해석 등으로 작품을 진행하였다. 본 연구에서는 자연 속 이미지의 주관화된 배경설정을 바탕으로 상상의 세계에서 보여지는 의식과 무의식의 경계를 다채로운 색채와 이미지의 중첩이 도입된 환상적 공간으로 표현해 보는 동시에 본인에 대한 새로운 내적 세계의 구성력이 더욱더 풍요롭게 표현되어지는 계기로 삼고자 한다.
