월터 라우쉔부쉬의 사회복음 연구

Abstract

본 논문은 한국 교회가 서양 기독교 선교의 영향에 의해 정교분리, 비정재적, 비사회적 교회전통의 흐름을 형성해 왔던 것에 대해 문제의식을 가지고 한국 기독교 선교에 있어서 전해지지 않았던 사회복음 계열에서 미국신학의 영향력을 찾아보고자 사회복음 운동의 대변자로 알려진 라우쉔부쉬의 사회복음 신학을 연구하고 그 윤리적 적용을 검토하였다. 그리하여 라우웬부쉬의 사회복음 신하의 비판적 수용을 시도해 보고자 하였다. 제Ⅰ장은 서론으로서 본 논문의 연구동기 및 목적을 밝히고, 이에 따르는 연구방법 및 범위를 개시하였다. 제Ⅱ장은 라우쉔부쉬의 생애를 통해 그의 사상을 형성케한 종교적 배경과 시대적 상황을 살펴보고, 다음으로 그의 신학적 배경과, 그의 사상형성에 지대한 영향을 끼친 사회주의와의 관계를 살펴봄으로써 그의 윤리 사상의 형성 배경을 알아보았다. 제Ⅲ장은 그의 사회복음의 신학을 검토해 본다. 우선 죄에 대한 사회적 이해를 밝히고, 따라서 구원은 사회구원을 홍해서 완성됨을 밝히고, 마지막으로 사회복음의 목표가 되는 하나님의 나라에 대한 이해를 검토하였다. 제Ⅳ장은 그의 사회복음 신학의 윤리적 적용을 사회질서에 대한 그의 평가와 경제질서에 대한 그의 제안을 통해 알아보았다. 제Ⅴ장은 결론으로서 이상의 내용에 대한 요약과 더불어 라우쉔부쉬의 사회복음 신학의 비판적 수용을 위해 그의 사회복음 신학이 가지는 의의 및 한계를 평가해 보았다.; The purpose of this thesis is to study the social gospel of Walter Rauschenbusch who is a well knowned representative of the Social Gospel Movement in America. He emphasized the social conscience aganst the church which was making no social contribution owing to the excessive individualism. Today, most of the Korean churches emphasize only the salvation of the individual soul without examining social problem. In this tjese I will endeavour to find the meaning of social gospel theology for the industrial sociaty of Korea. I believe that the Social Gospel will help us to understand the relationship between individual faith and social issues for our time. In chapterⅡ studies Rauschenbusch's religious and historical backgrond through his life, theology background, and the effect of socialism on his thought. In chapterⅢ studies Rauschenbusch's theology of the social gospel . Firstly I analized the social understanding of sin, and found that individual salvation is achieved through social salvation. Finally I studied the kingdom of God, which is the aim of Social Gospe In chapterⅣ studies Rauschenbusch's evaluation of the social orders and his suggestion of economic order in his theory of social ethics. In the conclusion, I have summerised the content of this thesis and evaluated the historical significance and limitations of Rauschenbusch's theology of social gospel for the critical reception in the Korean churchs.
