dc.description.abstract본 연구의 목적은 대학도서관과 시청각센타의 통합에 대해서 두 기관의 실무자들이 어떠한 태도와 의견을 갖고 있는지를 조사·분석하는 것이다. 본 연구는 두 기관의 통합 가능성을 진단하고, 실제로 통합운영을 위한 방안을 모색하는 데 필요한 기초자료를 제공할 것이다. 본 연구를 위해 문헌조사와 설문지조사를 병행하였다. 우선 문헌을 통해서 대학도서관과 시청각센타의 역할과 통합의 긍정적인 효과에 대해 연구하였으며 일찍부터 통합양상이 나타난 미국의 통합 과정을 살펴보았다. 또한 두 기관의 조직과 기능이 통합운영되는 양상과 통합의 장애요인에 대해 고찰하였다. 통합에 대만 실무자들의 태도와 의견을 파악하기 위해 실시한 설문지조사 대상은 서울에 위치한 대학 중 시청각센타가 설치되어 있는 19개교의 대학도서관 사서와 시청각센타 요원이다. 조사에 사용된 설문지는 개인적 배경(9문항), 통합개념에 대한 태도(20문항) 및 통합운영에 관한 의견(18문항)으로 구성되었다. 설문지는 직접 배포하였으며 조사 대상자 259명(사서 187명, 시청각센타 요원 72명) 가운데 214명(사서 150명, 시청각센타 요원 64명)이 응답하였고 이 중 199부(76.8%)를 분석하였다. 조사결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 통합개념에 대한 전체 응답자의 태도는 비교적 긍정적이었다. 즉, 시청각자료의 가치, 대학교육에서 시청각자료의 적용 및 대학도서관과 시청각센타의 통합에 대해 긍정적인 태도를 나타냈다. 2. 통합개념에 대해서 시청각센타 요원은 대학교육에서 시정각자료를 적용하는 것에 대해 사서보다 더 긍정적인 태도였으며 두 기관의 통합에 대해서는 사서가 더 긍정적인 태도를 보였다. 3. 시청각센타 요원의 통합개념 태도는 성별, 연령, 근무연한, 직위, 학력, 전공분야에 따른 차이는 의미가 없었으나 기관의 운영양상, 시청각센타의 직원수, 시청각센타의 설립연도에 따른 차이는 의미가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 4. 사서의 통합개념 태도는 성별, 연령, 근무연한, 소속부서, 직위, 학력, 전공분야, 도서관의 직원수, 장서량, 운영양상에 따른 차이는 의미가 없었다. 다만 도서관 건축연도에 따른 차이는 의미가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 5. 통합의 가장 큰 장애요인으로서 두 분야 모두 학교 행정당국의 인식과 협조 부족을 지적하였다. 또한 두 분야 모두 부분적 통합 형태를 가장 많이 선호하였으나 도서관측이 통합운영을 더 원하는 것으로 나타났다. 6. 통합운영의 여러 양상에서 시청각자료의 분류·선정·보관 문제와 시청각센타의 시설의 통합에 대해서는 두 기관의 의견이 비슷했으나 도서관과 시청각센타의 행정적인 관계에 대해서는 상반된 의견이었다. 7. 통합운영시에 가장 먼저 직면하는 문제점에 대해서 많은 응답자가 관리상의 우위확보를 위한 마찰과 실무자들의 갈등·적응문제 및 예산 문제를 지적하였다. 본 조사결과에 의해 다음의 몇가지 사항을 제안하였다. 첫째, 통합에 대한 구체적인 계획을 세우기 위해서 대학 행정당국은 두 기관의 책임자, 학교행정가, 교수 및 학생들로 이루어진 자문위원회를 구성해야 할 것이다. 이 자문위원회를 통해서 우선 부분적인 통합운영에 촛점을 맞춘 계획이 세워져야 하며 아울러 완전 통합이라는 최종목표를 성취하는 방향으로 장기적인 계획이 수립되어야 할 것이다. 둘째, 독립 운영되는 현재의 상황에서 두 기관 실무자들은 각 기관의 업무에 대한 이해와 아울러 상호 협조적인 관계를 구축해야 한다. 구체적인 방법으로 두 기관의 실무자들로 이루어진 합동 운영위원회를 구성하여 통합에 관련된 문제를 충분히 논의할 수 있는 기회를 가져야 한다. 또한 시청각센타는 도서관의 시청각서비스를 위한 기술지원을 하고, 사서들은 시청각센타의 자료 선정과 분류·목록 방법에 대해 자문을 제공함으로써 상호간에 협조적인 관계를 구축할 수 있을 것이다. 셋째, 두 분야간에 균형있는 통합을 모색하기 위하여 도서관과 시청각센타의 전문단체나 협회가 공동으로 인쇄자료와 시청각자료에 모두 적용할 수 있는 분류방법과 선정기준에 대한 연구를 수행해야 할 것이다. 넷째, 통합된 기관에서 전문적인 서비스를 수행할 인원을 확보하기 위해 양쪽 분야의 전문능력을 소유한 인원이 배출될 수 있는 제도적인 장치가 필요하다. 구체적인 방법으로 현행 도서관학과나 시청각 관련학과에 상대 분야의 관련과목을 개설하여 두 분야의 자격을 갖춘 전문가를 양성할 수 있도록 해야 할 것이다.;The purpose of this study is to compare general attitude of audiovisual center personnel with of librarians on the concept of integration between two groups: university library and audiovisual center. And also, it is to analyse the difference of their attitude by variables, that is, personal attributes and group attributes and their opinion tits management form. This study will diagnose the possibility of integration between the two groups and in fact it will give the fundamental data to design a scheme for integration. It completed by literature research and survey. Literature research presents the roles of the two groups and positive effects by integration. The research was included in American process of integration and the form of integrated management and its obstacles. The survey by instrument used for collecting the data for understanding attitude and opinion on integration between the two groups' personnel. The objects of this survey were librarians and audiovisual center personnel among 19 universities in Seoul. This survey was based on theoretical background and if consisted of personal background, the attitude on the concept of integration and the opinion of integrated management. 214 of 259 persons(187 librarians, 72 audiovisual center personnel) were responded and 199 persons(76.8%) were targets for analysis. The results from the data analysis were as follows. 1. General attitude of all respondents on the concept of integration were positive: the value of audiovisual materials, the application of them in university education and the integration between two groups. 2. Audiovisual center personnel were positive than librarians on the application of audiovisual materials in university education. While librarians more positive on integration than other groups personnel. 3. Attitude of audiovisual center personnel had no striking differences between them by sex, age, years worked in the group, position, educational level and the major field of study. But by the management form of group, number of staff and the establishment data of the group had significant differences. 4. University librarians' attitude had no meanings in differences by sex, age, years worked in the group. working department, position, educational level, the major field of study, number of staff, amount of books and the management form. But by the building date of the group had significance. 5. As a major obstacles of integration, the two groups pointed out the lack of recognition and cooperation of university executive. The two groups have preferred partial integration, but the library wanted more the integrated form move. 6. In various form of integrated management, both had similar opinions in problem like classification, selection, storage of audiovisual materials and the integration of audiovisual center's facilities. However when the two groups confronte to administrative problems. they were controversy. 7. Many pointed out troubles to gain advantages: complication, adoption of staffs and the budget as the prior problems to be faced when integrated management was to be executed. On the basis of these result, this study makes some suggestions as follows. 1. University executive should carefully reconsider the integration of the two groups in the view of enhanced service and effective management. 2. In independent management, the personnel must try to understand the other group's business and build up a mutual cooperating relationship and they should try to create the most effective model of integrated management upon these basis. 3. Cooperated researches should be made between library and audiovisual center's professional organizations and associations about the integration. A balanced integration between the two groups will be found by these kind of researches. 4. New system which can develop the personnel of special ability should be urgent. This is because of securing the persons who able to have ability to performe the special service in integrated group. By approaches, department of library science or the audiovisual related department should establish related subjects of the opposite department in order to raise specialist who have qualifications in both fields.
