전문발레학교 설립을 위한 기초연구

Abstract

For the ballet, a composite art to develop further there must exist a dance of great excellence, choreographer of high creativity and tulented toucher supporting them. When these three conditions for the development of the ballet proceed to develop in their mutually organic harmony with each other, we will be able to consummate what might be called the perfect stage, as we often say, or the remarkable stage of good quality which can be sympathetic with audience. In particular, it can be said that it be came a driving force for the development of the ballet to scout, and train up the talented man capable of participating in the ballet art directly, and to secure a number of capable men. Looking to a developmental history of western dance, we can discover several factors that have enabled ballets in several countries to prosper luxuriantly and develop, Among them, the first thing is that they have had their own special ballet groups second, there have been their oun special ballet schools and exclusive dance theatre affiliated to such the special ballet groups. Third, they have received a huge amount of financial support from their governments. We should note the fact that the ballet schools affiliated under western famous ballet companys among them have trained up technical capable dancers with in their awn ballet companys and continued to providethem with their own bullet companys. But only a few special ballet groups have still existed in Korean ballet circles, but the fact is that there have not so far established any ballet school under the control of such ballet companys, So, the present situation is that an educational system having a clear-cut theortical basis hath organiced and systematic for the ballet have not so far been firml;y rooted in Korea. For that reason, numerable special dancers trained up through the accurate educational methed for the ballet have not been produced normally, and so ballet education in Korea has ahd many shortcomings and discrepancies. Therefore, as a plan to correct these mooted points and attain the authentic development of the ballet in Korea, the most urgent problem is coming to surfate that the ballet school should be setablished at the same time that the importance of the baller school should be recognized at the national level. From this point of view, this thesis investigated into the educational system and curriculum of the Vaganova Ballet School affiliated to the Kirov Ballet Company of Russia and those of the Royal Ballet Company among several famous western Ballet Companys. And this thesis inquired into the educational method and characteristics of these ballet schools with a focus on the Italian Cecchetti system and the Soviet Vaganova System that have provided a firm theoretical basis for these ballet schools. Based upon, this study attempted to suggest the ideal model of the ballet school suitable to Korea and the desirable direction of the Korean ballet school that is forecasted to set up within five years in the future.; 종합예술인 발레가 발전하기 위해서는 탁월한 무용수, 창작력이 뛰어난 안무가, 이를 뒷받침해 주는 유능한 교사가 존재하여야 한다. 이러한 세가지 조건이 상호 유기적인 조화를 이루며 발전해 나갈때 소위 우리가 말하는 완벽한 무대, 관객과 공감할 수 있는 훌륭한 양질의 무대를 완성시킬 수 있는 것이다. 특히 직접적으로 발레예술에 참여할 수 있는 유능한 인재를 발굴, 육성하고, 다수의 인재를 확보하는 것이 발레의 발전을 위한 원동력이 된다고 할 수 있다. 서구 무용의 발전사를 살펴보면, 여러나라들의 발레가 융성하게 꽃피고 발전할 수 있었던 몇 가지 요인들을 발견할 수 있는 데 이것은 첫째, 전문 발레 단체를 가지고 있다는 점, 둘째, 그러한 전문발레단체에 부속한 전문 발레학교와 자체내의 전용극장이 있었다는 점, 셋째, 정부로부터의 막대한 재정적 지원을 받았다는 점 등으로 나타나며, 그 중에서도 서구의 여러 훌륭한 발레단 밑에는 그 발레단에 유능한 전문 인재를 양성해서 계속적으로 보급해 줄 수 있는 부속 발레학교(Ballet School)가 뒷받침되고 있다는 사실이 주목된다. 그러나, 아직까지 한국 발레계는 소수의 전문 발레단체는 존재하나, 발레단 산하의 Ballet School이 설립되어 있지 못한 실정이어서, 발레의 계통적이고도 체계화된 명백한 이론적 기초를 지닌, 교육 System이 아직까지 확고히 뿌리내리지 못하고 있는 실정이다. 이로인해, 발레의 계통적이고 정확한 교육방법을 통해 훈련되어진 다수의 전문무용인의 양성이 제대로 이루어 지지 못하고 있기 때문에, 발레교육에 있어서의 많은 불리함과 모순점을 지니고 있다. 이에, 이러한 문제점을 시정하고, 우리나라의 진정한 발레 발전을 이룩하기 위한 한 방안으로 국가적 차원에서의 Ballet School의 중요성을 인식함과 동시에 발레학교의 설립이 가장 시급한 문제로 대두되고 있는 것이다. 이러한 관점에서 본 논문은, 서구의 유명한 전문 발레단 중, 소련의 키로프(Kirov)발레단에 부속된 바가노바 발레학교와 영국의 로열(Royal)발레단에 부속된 로열발레학교의 교육제도(system) 및 교과과정(curriculum)을 살펴보고, 특히 이들 발레학교의 확고한 이론적 기초(Basic)를 제공한 이태리의 Cecchetti System과 소련의 Vaganova System을 중심으로 이들 발레학교의 교육방법 및 특색을 고찰해 봄으로써, 그것을 근거로, 앞으로 5년 이내에 생겨나리라고 예상되는 우리나라 발레학교의 바람직한 방향과 우리나라에 적합한 이상적인 발레학교의 설립을 위한 기초적 자료들을 제언해 보았다.
