J. S. Bach cello suite No. 3과 L. Boccherini cello sonata No. 6 연구

Abstract

본 논문은 석사과정 이수를 위한 졸업연주회의 연주곡목 중 J.S.Bach의 무반주 Cello Suite No. 3과 L.Boccherini의 Cello Sonata No. 6에 관해 여러 문헌을 통하여 작품의 역사적 배경을 살펴보고 분석을 통해 곡의 내용과 구조적인 면을 연구하고자 한다. J.S.Bach의 무반주 Cello Suite은 Cello독주를 위한 무반주작품으로서는 최초이면서도 그 당시에 Basso Continuo의 역할을 주로 하던 Cello가 독주악기로서의 면모를 갖추었음을 증명한 중요한 작품이다. 그 중 무반주 Cello Suite No.3은 Prelude-Allemande-Courante-Sarabance-Bourree-Gigue의 무곡으로 엮어나가며 형식이 간단하고 짧은 부분의 되돌이가 많으며 리듬이 명확하고 그 감정 또한 명쾌하다. L.Boccherini는 초기고전주의시대의 Italy작곡가이자 Cello연주가로서 Cello의 주법을 많이 발전시켰으며 Haydn과 더불어 실내악 양식의 확립에 기여하였다. Cello Sonata No.6은 다른 Boccherini의 음악이 그렇듯이 낙천적인 라틴민족의 성격을 잘나타내어 우아하면서도 경쾌한 악상이 그 특징이다. 본래 3악장의 초기고전주의 작품이었으나 현재 관행상 1,2악장만이 연주된다. 그 자신만이 가지고 있는 특유의 Style이 다양하게 나타나있는 작품이다.

;The purpose of this article is to describe and analyze the texture of the movement, figure and harmonic structure of Bach's cello suite No.3 and Boccherini's cello sonata No.6 in an attempt to gain some insight into contents and artistic quality, as well as composer's intentions behind the compositions. Although Bach's cello suite No.3 is comprised of monophone for solo instrument, it is no different from those pieces with harmonic structure as it is organized in multi parts. With the excepion of the prelude, all movements are organized in binary form into which Bach weaves a number of motives he introduces in the beginning. In other words, there are a number of set motives which dominate throughout the piece rather than new motive being introduced. Boccherini's cello sonata No.6 follows the basic 3 movement structure of early sonata, despite its simple structure relative to contemporary sonatas, however, its harmonic structure is more complicated and each movement provides a player with an opportunity to express the beauty and style unique to cello through technical expertise. Thus, a player has to understand the basic structure of the piece as well as pay close attention to subtle changs in melody in order to fully express the essence of this composition.
