부착 장식 기법에 의한 패션 디자인 연구

Abstract

본 연구는 21세기를 전후하여 수공예적인 세련된 고급품을 지향하는 다양한 디테일의 장식 패션이 크게 유행하고 있는 패션 트렌드에 맞춰 부착 장식 기법을 중심으로 표면 장식의 기법과 그 사례를 이해하고 최근 해외 컬렉션을 통해 선보인 여성복식에서 부착 장식 기법의 디자인 사례를 살펴보고 부착 장식의 디자인적 의의를 정립하고 부착 장식 기법에 의한 새로운 의상 디자인을 창작하는데 목적이 있다. 연구 방법은 문헌자료와 패션잡지, 인터넷 등의 기사 및 시각 자료를 중심으로 부착 장식 기법의 개념과 종류를 살펴보고, 부착 장식이 나타내는 이미지를 각각 로맨틱 & 엘레강트(Romantic & Elegant), 에스닉 & 빈티지(Ethnic & Vintage), 모던 & 스포티(Modern & Sporty), 아방가르드(Avant-garde) 4가지로 분류하였다. 그리고 최근 5년간 파리·밀라노 해외 컬렉션을 중심으로 여성복식의 부착 장식 사례와 그 이미지를 수집 연구하였다. 위의 연구를 토대로 부착 장식 기법을 주제로 한 의상을 기획, 디자인하여 실물로 제시하였다. 부착 장식은 표면에 동일하거나 혹은 유사한 재료를 부착하거나(패치워크, 아플리케), 다른 재료(비즈, 시퀸, 테이프, 파이핑, 단추, 모피·깃털, 스터드 등)를 덧붙여서 입체감을 표현하는 형태로 부착하는 재료와 부착 방법 등에 따라 두께감과 표면질감에 다양한 변화가 가능하였다. 또한 현대 패션에서 부착 장식은 그 종류와 특성에 따라 다양한 이미지를 표현하였다. 부착 장식이 가장 흔하게 나타내는 이미지는 로맨틱 & 엘레강트(Romantic & Elegant) 이미지로 여성적인 비즈(beads), 시퀸(séquin), 모피·깃털 장식 등이 화려하고 풍부한 감성이나 하늘거리는 부드러운 감성을 표현하였다. 에스닉 & 빈티지(Ethnic & Vintage) 이미지는 특히 손맛을 많이 느낄 수 있는 패치워크나 아플리케, 비딩 등의 장식에서 정감 있는 수공예적 장식(handcraft-deco)과 앤티크 터치(antique touch)로 나타났다. 모던 & 스포티(Modern & Sporty) 이미지는 주로 파이핑이나 테이프 장식 등의 직선적인 라인 장식으로 나타났다. 아방가르드(Avant-garde)는 주로 사이즈의 과장된 표현이나 장식의 과도한 적용과 유희성으로 나타났다. 이상의 연구 결과를 중심으로 부착 장식 기법에 의한 방법으로 드레스 작품 3점을 기획하였다. 그 테마는 “l'ala del angelo (천사의 날개)”, “la festa del fiore (꽃의 향연)”와 “Odile della luna (달빛속에 오딜)”이다. 첫째, “l'ala del angelo(천사의 날개)”는 우아하고 여성적인 아름다움을 표현하는 깃털의 부착으로 로맨틱한 이미지를 나타냈으며, 비즈를 현대적으로 부착하여 엘레강트한 이미지를 표현했다. 둘째, “la festa del fiore(꽃의 향연)”는 우아하고 여성스러운 컬러와 꽃 모티프로 로맨틱하고 엘레강트한 이미지를 나타냄과 동시에 수공예적인 패치워크 기법을 이용하여 에스닉한 이미지도 나타내었다. 셋째, “Odile della luna(달빛속에 오딜)”는 라인을 강조한 테이프와 시퀸 장식은 모던한 이미지를 나타냄과 동시에 엘레강트한 이미지를 표현했고, 블랙 컬러가 모던한 이미지를 더욱 돋보이게 했다. 본 연구는 부착 장식 기법과 종류를 살펴보고 부착장식 이미지와 디자인 사례를 고찰하여 실제로 디자인을 창작할 수 있는 새로운 방향을 제시할 수 있으며, 고급 기술을 이용한 부착 장식 연구를 통해 패션의 고부가가치화를 추구하고 패션 산업의 국제 경쟁력 제고에 이바지할 수 있도록 하였다.;This study is aimed at helping to produce creative design and providing new idea for design creation by decoration technique and the design cases as surface fashion with various details has prevailed since the 21st century. Unique and new texture through decoration can provide psychological satisfaction to modern people who like to earn attention and seek individuality. I studied attachment decorations and the aesthetic characteristics of attachment decorations, and then based on this, I defined concept of relief effect. In addition, I approached to relief effect more extensively by studying methods to earn relief effect, material of design, prior to surface decoration. Techniques for surface decoration is attachment, relief effect expressed by attaching other materials to surface, has various changes in volume and texture in accordance with the material and the way of attachment. Surface decoration in modern fashion expresses various images. Romantic and elegant images express flamboyant and rich emotions or soft emotions through feminine beads. Ethnic and vintage images are expressed as handicraft decoration and antique touch through patchwork, appliquée and beading. In addition, decoration in linear line such as piping are expressed as modern and sporty images through rhythmical line. Finally, avantgarde images are mostly emphasized its size or application of decoration. Based on the images of attachment decorations extracted from the modern fashion, I designed total 3 works, two works with concept of “l'ala del angelo” and “la festa del fiore”, romantic and elegant image, one work with concept of “Odile della luna”, modern image. I targeted individual women in their late 20s to mid-30s with free emotions and rich sense, and set the apparel for occasions. I formed work direction including diagram and then produced works by selecting proper decoration technique, material and color. The present research was aimed at providing practical data for design by studying techniques of relief decoration and design cases and collecting and arranging decorative design that had been sporadically carried out. The study on relief and attachment decorations can be a way to effectively stimulate and meet emotions of modern people with various taste and individuality and free expression ways. In addition, as the technique feeling human touch emphasizes emotional aspect breaking from simplification and unification, it can be a way to solve the problem of restoring humanism that emerges a serious issue in modern society.
