한국 아마추어 남성 합창단의 발전방안 연구

Abstract

This study is aimed to examine the ways to increase the competitiveness of the existing amateur male choirs in Korea. To this end, two methods are employed. First, comparison and contrast is made between the Korean male choirs and those in Germany, United States of America, and Japan in terms of a history, performances, and operational system. It is to identify the problems of amateur male choirs in Korea while adopting the good points from the foreign cases, so as to contribute to the improvement of the Korean male choirs. Secondly, analysis is made to the existing amateur male choirs in Korea to figure out a current status in terms of musical activities, managerial problems in reality, and suggestions made from the inside choir members. A result of comparison and analysis of the survey indicates that conflicting issues arise surrounding recruitment of singers, improvement of a musical level, the effectiveness of management, and lack of exchanges with other choirs. To cope with these problems, two solutions are suggested. The first, besides the musical performances, the choirs should serve the educational purpose as well. In particular, the adolescent education could make a huge contribution to fostering musical abilities as well as addressing the problem in recruitment. For this purpose, specialized programs of musical training are needed, which can help a foundation of senior and family choirs. The second, regarding the fund-raising measures for management, substantial financial problems could be solved by establishing networks with the alumni, giving a graded tax relief according to the amount of donation, developing musical contents business within the choirs, and sharing rehearsal rooms. In addition, the unified development of the amateur male choirs will be achieved by promoting online exchanges among the members, which will bring a strengthened solidarity, an easier access to the repertoire, better preservation of the choral materials, etc.;본 논문은, 현재 활동하고 있는 한국 아마추어 남성 합창단의 발전 방안을 모색하고자 하는 목적에서 연구되었다. 발전 방안을 도출하기 위해, 두 가지 연구 방법을 사용하였다. 첫 번째 방법은, 독일․미국․일본의 대표적인 아마추어 혼성, 남성 합창단과 한국의 대표적인 아마추어 남성 합창단을 역사, 활동, 운영, 세 가지 측면에서 비교 분석하는 방법이다. 이는, 한국의 아마추어 남성 합창단의 문제점을 조사하고, 외국 아마추어 남성 합창단으로부터 수용할 수 있는 점들을 연구하여, 한국 아마추어 남성 합창단의 발전 방안을 도출하려는 것이다. 두 번째 방법은, 현재 활동 중인 한국 아마추어 남성합창단을 대상으로, 합창단의 활동현황과 실제적인 운영의 문제점, 단원들이 제시하는 개선 방안 등을 설문하여, 그 결과를 분석함으로 한국 아마추어 남성 합창단의 발전 방안을 모색해 본 것이다. 각 합창단들의 비교분석과 설문조사의 결과, 한국 아마추어 남성 합창단의 개선되어야 할 실질적인 문제점은 단원 확보 및 효과적인 운영방법, 단원들의 음악 수준향상, 합창단 간의 연대 형성 등으로 조사되었다. 위의 문제점들을 개선하고 발전시키기 위한 방안은 다음과 같다. 첫 째, 합창단은 합창 뿐 아니라, 음악교육의 역할을 동시에 수행 할 수 있어야 한다. 특히, 청소년들의 합창 교육은 음악 실력의 향상과 아마추어 합창 단원 확충의 문제에도 도움을 줄 수 있다. 이를 위하여 음악 교육 프로그램이 개발되어야 하며, 이러한 프로그램의 효과는 합창단의 전문화와 더불어, 시니어합창단이나 가족합창단의 창단에도 확대, 적용시킬 수 있다. 둘 째, 운영 기금 마련에 있어서, 구 단원들과의 연대, 기부금 액수에 따른 세금 면제 혜택, 합창단 내의 음악 콘텐츠 비즈니스, 연습실 공유 등은 아마추어 합창단의 실질적인 운영에 도움을 줄 수 있다. 마지막으로 합창단들의 적극적인 교류(온라인 상)의 장을 마련함으로, 합창단 간의 연대 강화, 레퍼토리의 공유, 합창단 자료의 보존 등, 한국 아마추어 남성 합창단의 연합적인 발전을 지향 할 수 있다.
