근미래 모바일 환경을 위한 모바일 서비스 활성화 방안 연구

Abstract

모바일은 좋은 모습이든 나쁜 모습이든 현대 사회의 새로운 문화적 지형과 삶의 전경을 그려가고 있다. 모바일 기기의 빠른 발전과 다양화는 사용자가 더 좋은 환경에서 편리한 시설과 서비스로 그들의 요구와 수요를 만족하게 하면서 상호작용을 이루어야 한다. 하지만, 모바일 기기들은 기능이 점점 고도화, 복합화 되고 있어서 표준화가 어려워 사용자가 적응하기 쉽지 않다. 기기의 발전뿐 만 아니라 모바일 환경의 발전 또한 중요한데 이 둘이 서로 속도를 못 맞추는 것이다. 현재 어느 때보다 모바일 기술이 발전하고, 다양한 기기들의 생산이 가속화되고 있는 시점에서 사용자들의 모바일 생활양식과 요구를 알아내어 이를 반영하는 것이 필요하다. 사용자마다 달리 나타날 수 있는 모바일 이용 행태나 특성을 규명하여 모바일 이용에서 나타난 최근의 변화를 이해하고 미래상황에 대처하기 위해 이 분야의 연구는 지속적으로 확대되어야 하고 계속적인 업데이트가 필요하다. 본 연구는 모바일 기기의 신제품들이 하루 사이에도 다량으로 쏟아져 기기의 확산이 최고 속도에 이른 2009년 현재 모바일 사용자의 이용 기기와 이용패턴, 가치, 가치관 등 전반적인 생활양식을 살피고, 기존의 모바일 관련 서비스와 현재 공공 공간에서의 모바일 환경을 조사해 이를 분석하였다. 그리고 이 결과들과 사용자의 이해를 바탕으로 앞으로 사용자가 기대하는 새로운 모바일 서비스와 모바일 환경에 대한 발전방향에 대해 연구하고자 했다. 이에 본 연구에서는 첫째, 모바일 사용자들의 주 모바일 사용 기기와 이와 관련한 전반적인 모바일 생활양식을 파악했다. 모바일 기기의 사용이 확대되고, 활용형태가 다양해짐에 따라 나타나는 현상들을 분석해 모바일 생활양식에 대한 배경을 살펴보았다. 모바일 관련 문헌조사를 통해 기초자료를 수집하고, 모바일 기술 현황과 발전추세에 대한 기존 연구를 검토하였다. 둘째, 2009년 현재 사용자들의 모바일 서비스 이용 현황과 가치, 이에 대한 인식과 함께 모바일 기기 사용에 대한 전반적인 의견을 알아보고 사용자의 요구를 파악했다. 공공 공간에서의 사용자들의 이용패턴, 행동패턴을 파악하기 위해 설문조사와 참여관찰을 하였다. 설문은 모바일 기기 사용자에게 모바일 관련 내용으로 조사하였고 세대별, 성별에 따른 특징도 파악하였다. 셋째, 사용자들의 모바일 생활양식과 모바일 사용 공간에 대한 이해를 바탕으로 앞으로 사용자가 요구하는 더 나은 모바일 환경을 만들고자 새로운 서비스와 시설을 제안하였다. 모바일 사용자들을 대상으로 사용자들의 실태조사를 통해 모바일 기기 및 서비스 이용행태를 규명하고, 이를 바탕으로 향후 모바일 서비스 수요를 알아내었다. 공공 공간에서 이루어지는 사회적 규범으로 모바일 에티켓에 대한 사용자들의 태도 및 인식도 알아보았다. 설문을 통한 양적 연구의 한계를 보완하기 위해 사용자와의 인터뷰를 실시해 사용자의 요구를 파악하고, 사용자가 원하는 서비스와 시설들이 현실적으로 기술이나 환경에서 가능한지 개발자들과의 인터뷰를 통해 더 나은 모바일 이용 환경을 위해 분석하였다. 이는 과거와는 달라진 모바일 환경에서 사용자의 변화된 욕구를 수용하여 모바일을 사용하는 모든 사용자가 새로운 환경에 더 쉽고 편리하게 적응해 발전한 모바일 환경을 조성할 기회를 제공하기 위함이다. 본 연구는 모바일 기기 사용자들이 원하는 서비스와 요구 환경에서 사회적인 요건이나 기술적인 배경이 가능한지 타당성을 검토해 실행 가능한 서비스, 시설들을 제안함으로써 모바일 기기와 유비쿼터스 모바일 환경, 사용자의 요구, 수요가 원활히 상호작용 할 수 있는 더 나은 모바일 환경을 만들어 내는데 도움이 될 수 있는 보고서가 될 것이다. 또한 이러한 연구의 결과는 사용자들의 모바일 라이프 삶의 질을 향상시킬 수 있는 기반을 마련했다는 점에서 그 의의가 있다고 하겠다.;Mobile is making new cultural topography and life of the modern society whatever they are good or bad. Fast development and diversification of mobile tools should interact with each other, meeting with users’ requirement and demands through convenient facilities and services in better environment. However, mobile tools are getting more advanced and complicated so they can’t be standardized and accordingly, users have difficulty in adapting themselves to mobile tools. Not only the development of tools, but also the development of mobile environment is important too, but in actuality, both are not in harmony. At present, the mobile technology is highly developed and the production of various mobile tools is being accelerated. Under this circumstance, finding out users’ mobile lifestyle and requirements and reflecting them is really necessary. In order to clarify the type and the characteristics of mobile use by user group, to understand the latest changes in the mobile use, and to cope with future circumstance, the studies of this field should be continuously expanded and updated. Currently in 2009, new mobile products are being released in large quantity every day and the expansion of them is fastest. This paper intended to examine mobile users’ overall lifestyle, including the mobile tools they use, the pattern of their use, the value of the mobile tools, and the sense of value, and further, it investigated the existing mobile services and the current mobile environment in public places. Based on the research results and the understanding of users, this paper intended to propose the future di-rection for the development of new mobile services and environment. For those research goals, this paper examined the major mobile tools that mobile users use most, and their overall mobile lifestyle. It also analyzed the phenomena happening while the use of mobile tools is expanded and the pattern of their use is getting diversified, and it examined the background of mobile lifestyles. It examined the existing literatures of mobile to collect basic data and reviewed the existing researches of the current status of mobile technology and development. Secondly, it examined the current status and values of mobile service use, and the users’ recognition of the mobile services. It studied the users’ overall opinions of the use of mobile services and checked their requirements. In order to examine the users’ pattern of using mobile services and their behavioral patterns in public places, it had a survey and observed them. The survey covered the mobile-related contents and it also grasped out the characteristics of the mobile users by generation and gender. Third, based on the understanding of the users’ mobile lifestyle and of the places for mobile use, this paper proposed new services and facilities for better mobile environment. It examined the current status of the mobile users to clarify the mobile tools and services used, through which it found out the future demand of mobile services. This paper also examined the mobile users’ attitude and recognition of the mobile etiquette, a social standard, which is required in public places. In order to complement the limitations of the survey-based quan-titative research, this paper had interviews with the users, through which it found out the users’ requirements. In order to examine whether the services and facilities, which the users want, can be realized through the current technology and environment, this paper had interviews with developers and proposed the services and facilities for the better mobile use environment. This attempt intends to accept the changes in users’ desires under different mobile environment and further, to provide the opportunity that all the mobile users adapt themselves to new environment more easily and conveniently, and make more developed mobile environment. This research examined the feasibility of the services demanded by the mobile users under the current social circumstances and technical background, through which it proposed practicable services and facilities so it will be able to help make better mobile environment that mobile tools, ubiquitous mobile environment, users’ requirements, and demands can smoothly interact. In addition, this paper is meaningful in that it has prepared the foundation for the improvement of the quality of users’ mobile life.
