다문화가정 어머니를 위한 영유아 건강관리 교육 프로그램 개발

Abstract

영유아기는 발달단계 중 가장 의존적인 시기이면서 성장발달은 빠르고, 또 이 시기의 건강이 성인기에도 영향을 끼치는 만큼 어머니의 자녀 양육 및 건강관리가 매우 중요한 시기이다. 자녀 양육은 본능적으로 이루어진다기보다는 학습되는 것으로, 어머니는 사회의 문화적, 교육적, 종교적 영향에 따라 자녀를 돌보게 된다. 최근 급속히 증가되고 있는 다문화가정의 어머니들은 사회 규범 및 문화적 차이, 양육경험 및 정보 부족 등으로 인해 자녀 양육 및 건강관리에 있어 어려움을 호소하고 있다. 따라서 다문화가정 어머니를 위한 영유아 건강관리 정보의 필요성이 대두되었기에 본 연구에서 영유아 건강관리 프로그램을 개발하였다. 2008년 1월부터 문헌고찰 및 다문화가정 어머니와 간호사의 면담을 통해 프로그램 구성요인과 영유아의 건강관리 취약점을 파악하는 분석단계를 거쳤다. 설계단계에서는 도출된 요인들을 주제별로 분류하여, 발열과 설사, 호흡기 질환과 전염성 발진질환, 예방접종과 영유아 건강검진, 보건소의 영유아 관련 사업으로 구성된 교육책자를 개바하였고, 교육프로그램은 7차시로 구성하였다. 교육프로그램과 교육책자의 내용과 구성의 적합성을 형성평가하여 수정, 보완을 거쳐 최종 완성하였다. 다문화가정 어머니의 양육스트레세에 관한 연구가 일부 있을 뿐 영유아 건강관리와 관련된 연구가 거의 없는 실정에서 본 연구는 영유아 건강증진을 위한 건강관리 교육프로그램을 개발하였다는데 의미가 있다고 평가된다. 개발된 프로그램을 적용하고 효과를 검증하는 후속연구가 수행되어야 하겠으며, 발달단계별, 시기별, 지역별로 다양한 아동 건강문제가 있는 만큼 계속적인 연구를 통해 추가 구성요인을 확인하고, 지속적으로 교육프로그램을 수정보완하여 실행할 것을 제언한다.;Among developmental stages, infant and toddler stages are the most dependent period on their parents and very critical. Health status in these stages is closely connected with later health in adulthood. Mothers' child rearing and health care behaviors are not acquired by nature but ought to be learned. Multi-cultural mothers' difficulties in managing child health care are aggregated because health care practices are influenced by social norm, cultures, and religion. The purpose of this study was to develop a child health education program for multi-cultural mothers. To identify key components of education program, three methods were utilized; literature reviews, the results of multi-cultural mothers' child rearing experiences, and analysis of the focus group interviews with child nurses. Based on these results, a health education program and a booklet were developed, and they consisted of health managements, therapeutic managements, and health promotion. It is recommended that further studies should be performed to determine the effectiveness of the program and to verify if there is another key component which had not been found in this study.
