Sergei Prokofiev의 violin sonata no.2 op.94a에 관한 분석 및 연구

Abstract

세르게이 프로코피에프(Sergei Prokofiev, 1891-1953)는 20세기 현대 러시아의 음악 발전에 공헌한 대표적인 작곡가이자 피아니스트이다. 그는 작곡에 있어 뛰어난 재능과 독창성으로 전 생애에 걸쳐 논쟁의 대상이 되어 왔다. 그가 활동했던 20세기 전반기의 러시아는 10월 혁명과 전쟁 등으로 혼란한 시기였다. 그로 인해 1918년 러시아를 떠나 1932년까지 미국과 러시아에서 활동을 하였으며, 이후 다시 고국으로 돌아와 생을 마감할 때까지 러시아의 음악을 번영시키는데 중요한 역할을 하였다. 그는 대중영화음악에서부터 오페라(Opera), 교향곡(Symphony), 협주곡(Concerto), 소나타(Sonata)등 다양한 장르의 많은 작품들을 작곡하였다. 그의 음악은 신고전주의(Neoclassicism)와 사회주의적 현실주의(Social Realism)의 영향을 받은 작품들이 많다. 본 논문에서 분석할 프로코피에프의 「바이올린 소나타(Violin Sonata) 제2번 Op.94A」는 원래는 1943년에 작곡한 플루트 소나타(Flute Sonata)였으나 1944년 바이올리니스트인 다비드 오이스트라흐(David Oistrakh)의 제안으로 바이올린 소나타로 개작되었다. 따라서, 프로코피에프 음악의 시대적 배경과 생애, 작품과 그 특징에 대해서 알아보고 그의 Violin Sonata No.2 Op.94a를 분석하여 그의 음악세계를 이해하고 나아가 이론적 바탕 위에서 연주의 질을 높이는 데 있어서 도움이 되고자 한다. ;Sergei Prokofiev (1891-1953) is one of the leading composers and pianists who have contributed significantly to 20th century Russian music. He used his talent and originality to create new style which as caused some controversy. He has composed a wide rage of masterpieces from popular cinema tracks to Operas, Symphonies, Concertos, and Sonatas. His pieces have been influenced by N대-classicism and Social Realism. Early 20th century Russia has been a period of chaos due to revolutions and war. In 1918, he left Russia for America. However, he returned to Soviet Union to lead change in Russian music. Although Prokofiev's Violin Sonata No.2 Op.94a was ordinally composed nin 1934 as a Flute Sonata, violinist David Oistrakh suggested it to be written as a Violin Sonata. Just as Prokofiev's Symphony No.1, composed in 1917, could be called 「Classical Symphony」, his Violin Sonata could also be called Classical Sonata. This thesis explores Prokofiev's musical background as well as the characteristics of his masterpieces. It also analyzes his Violin Sonata No.2 Op.94a and ways to enhance performances. After analysis of this thesis, the following characteristics were revealed. This piece utilized style of classical sonata and Prokofiev's peculiarity, liveliness, audaciousness, lyric poetry and softness could be seen. In addition, while maintaining classical style, Prokofiev displayed his uniqueness by blending in modern technique.
