Abstract
낭만주의 운동은 독일의 노발리스 (본명은 Friedrich von Hardenberg, 1772-1801)와 티크(Ludwig Tieck, 1772-1801)등의 문학가들에 의해 18세기 후반 문학에서 먼저 나타나기 시작하였고, 환상적이고 주관적 정서와 개인적 감정을 중시하는 낭만주의는 19세기에 이르러 음악에 있어서 고정형식에서 벗어나 자유롭고 주관적인 감정 표현을 중시하는 새로운 음악으로 나타나게 되었다. Robert Alexander Schumann(1810-1856)은 낭만 음악 시대의 대표적인 작곡가 중의 한 사람으로 음악 뿐 아니라 음악 평론을 통해서 당시의 음악에 선구자적 역할을 한 사람이다. 슈만의 피아노 작품들은 단편적이고 자유로운 형식에 의한 곡들이 많았으며, 특히 성격적 소품에서 뛰어났는데 호프만(E.T.A. Hofmann, 1776-1827)이나 리히터(Jean Paul Richter, 1762-1825)의 작품은 그에게 강한 영향을 주었으며 이러한 연유로 그의 작품들 가운데 문학적 작품이나 시적 영감에 의한 표제를 가지는 것들을 많이 볼 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 당시의 시대적 배경과 그러한 영향이 슈만의 작품에 어떻게 나타나 있는지 살펴보고 작품의 일반적 특징과 그 중에서도 특히 Faschingsschwank aus Wien, Op.26의 작품 분석을 통해 형식 및 화성과 리듬을 고찰하였다. Faschingsschwank aus Wien, Op.26은 각기 개성적 표제를 가지며 큰 제목 아래 하나의 연관성을 지니고 있는 모음곡 형태인데 5곡으로 구성되어 있으며 다음과 같이 특징을 요약할 수 있다. 제 1곡은 자유로운 론도 형식, 제 2곡은 3부 형식, 제 3곡은 론도 형식, 제 4곡은 3부 형식, 제 5곡은 소나타 알레그로 형식으로 모음곡 형식 또는 5악장 구성으로 1악장에서 자유스러운 론도 형식, 5악장에 소나타 형식을 사용한 변칙적인 소나타 형식으로도 볼 수 있다. 선율은 짧은 주제 동기를 가지고 단순히 반복하는 형태가 자주 나타나며, 음악적 내용과 색채의 변화를 통해 단조로움을 피하고 있으며 하행하는 5음으로 구성되는 클라라 주제를 사용하였다. 화성은 그의 개성적 요소를 나타내는데 잦은 반음계적 진행을 통한 먼 조(調)로의 자유로운 전조와 7화음과 변화화음을 많이 사용하여 조성이 흐려지기 쉬운 것을 정격 종지의 사용으로 혼란을 방지하였다. 리듬은 슈만에게 곡 전체를 이끌어 가는 중요한 요소로 작용하는데 댄스풍의 리듬을 사용하였고 2마디 단위의 리듬이 반복하는 형태이며, 부점 리듬, 당김음, 교차 리듬 등 다양한 구사를 통해 활기있는 사육제의 정경을 적절히 구사하였다. 이와 같이 슈만은 성격적 소품의 형태로 낭만 음악이 가지는 환상성과 시적 표현을 그만의 독자적인 어법을 통해 효과적으로 반영하였다. ;This thesis attempts to study R, Schumann's performed at writer's graduation recital. This study reaches the romantic characteristics and structure of the work to provide sufficient guidelines for appreciation. Representing the period of romanticism together with many other composers like Chopin, Liszt, and Brahms, Schumann left a great many romantic works and composed piano works usually in the form of character pieces. Schumann was one of the masters who made German romanticism develop in the field of piano music. Among romantic musicians, especially, Schumann has been closely related to romantic literature and he was deeply influenced by many literature so as to shape his piano music. Schumann wrote many character pieces including the suites , , , and so on. is composed of five movements, Allegro, Romanze, Scherzino, intermezzo, Finale. The allegro is made up of Rondo -Like construction and is divided into 12 parts which consist of the repeated theme and episodes which appear in turn. He used many sequences and syncopation with frequent modulations. In the middle of the music the French national anthem was interested. is composed of 6 parts and is a amusing and cheerful work made by continuously repeating the same dotted rhythm of a two- measure motive. is a romantic piece which is in ternary form. is in sonata-allegro form and contrasts well with the preceding movements. In the work as a whole, melodies are varied with repetition of phrase and sequence in accordance with the motive development. Various rhythmic patterns are used, such as dotted and cross rhythms and syncopation. In the harmony, the non - harmonic tones, altered chords, and 7th chords, 9th chords are used in chromatic progressions. Tonality shows unclear and liquid modulation pursuit of diversified and colorful effects for the expression of the composer's emotions. In a word, this suite is characterized by its romantic trend in compositional techniques and free construction.
