의상 디자인의 주름표현 연구

Abstract

The purposes of this thesis are, a fold which is one kind of detail as the subject of this study, to relight up the meaning and function of fold in modern fashion with studying the Art characteristics and procucing method of fold focussing on the origin and pleats expressing thechnique in modern fashion and analysing fold expression in several designer's, for example, Issey Miyake, work Also this thesis aims at planning ready-made clothes design in which pleats is main characteristics for female clothes through the research of Issey Miyake's ,who have expressed new model of pleats as a practical presentation, pleats technique As a method to accomplish this research, create the design based on literature study, literature study method is to analyse the trend and characteristics of Folds technique used in women's wear after 1980's consulting articles related to Folds, Paris, Milano, Tokyo collection, and Issey Miyake's work collection as major references and domestic and foreign fashion trend magazines including Samsung Fashion Research Institute, Interfashion planning, Nelly Rodi, Textile View as minor references. With grasping trend of color, material, style in each season, have understood the whole flow of fashion trend, analysed the characteristics and trend of Folds technique from 1980's till 1990's dividing between Folds with intent and natural Folds, and on the basis of these, have prospected trend of Folds technique for 2000's. In this thesis, have reviewed the origin, kinds, and usage of pleats, and analysed modeling characteristics of pleats in the main subject. Also, through, as the designer who have expressed pleats newly in modern fashion, Issey Miyake's unique structure shape of pleats, reviewed the creative functionality. Followings are brief summaries. Pleats are the details having functional ornament evenly, and adopt the method to fold wide width side of stuff or to. Besides, depending on which part focus on between function and ornament, the effects may be variable, but it has been shown that function is operated with Enough ornamental effect simultaneously. At the same time, by being weared on the body, pleats are expressed new form of 3-dimensional body action out of 1-dimensional monotonous repetition. This is related to rhythmical action. For a human being with play instinct, pleats have shown the modeling volition related with human being's natural desire for creation. This let us recognize the infinity of creative field and the value of pleats as a dress and ornament수 modeling. Issey Miyake have expressed new form of modeling of pleats, and his 'pleats please' have been expressing various 3-dimensional modeling according to body movement through plan only with pleats. Together with present require for new material development and process Technique, Issey Miyak's pleats technique has shown the new form of expression toward 21 Century. This research results have shown the difficulties for pleats to consider as a simple detail of dress and ornament because their expression and meaning are various. I have a view of increase of functional fabrics, lightening of material, high quality of material, variety of material use and tendency to preference for nature fabrics in prospecting fabric trend in 2000. In 2000, the fashion trends will accelerate the trend of the 1990's extreme technology and sensitivity, and be faithful in rational and practical function. On the foundations of the characters of folds 1990 and prospect of fashion folds in 2000, I creatively designed women's wear for spring and summer 2001. I made out image map, then, selected color & fabric, and suggested fashion illustration and order sheet, and practically manufactured a work. Silk with light pink of 'true romance' completely expressing natural and Optimitic shillouette was used and polyester with light grey of 'Futuristic Fusion'.;본 논문의 목적은 의복에 표현되는 디테일의 한 종류인 주름을 연구의 주제로 하여 그 주름의 기원과 종류, 1980년대 이후 서양현대 패션에 나타난 주름 표현기법에 초점을 맞추어 주름의 조형적 특성을 살펴보고 디자이너 잇세이 미야케 디자인에 나타난 주름표현을 분석하여 주금의 창조적인 디자인 특성을 제시하고 이를 통한 여성복을 위한 주름이 중심이 된 기성복 디자인을 기획 제작하는데 그 목적이 있다. 연구 방법은 문헌 연구를 기본으로 디자인을 창작하였다. 문헌 연구는 주름관련 문헌과 1980년대 중반 이후 파리, 밀라노, 도쿄 collections을 비롯한 잇세이 미야케 등 디자이너의 오트 쿠튀르 컬렉션과 프레타 포르테 컬렉션이 수록된 사진집을 중심으로 삼성패션연구소의 Samsung Fashion Trend for Women 자료외에 국내의 패션 정보지 등을 참조하여 1980년대 중반 이후 파리, 밀라노, 도쿄, 뉴욕 컬렉션에 발표된 여성복의 주류디자인 경향과 그 특성을 분석하였다. 또 주름의 기원을 살펴보기 위해 고대 서양복식사에 나타난 주름을 살펴보았다. 주름의 기원은 신석기 시대에 까지 거슬러 올라 갈 수 있으나 가장 두드러지게 나타난 것은 이집트와 그리스복식이다. 이들 고대 복식에서의 주름은 이집트복식에서는 접는 주름으로, 그리스 복식에서는 드레이프로 나타났다. 주름의 종류에는 봉제테크닉에 의한 주름과 화학적 처리에 의해 생성되는 주름으로 구분하였다 봉제테크닉의 주름은 개더, 프릴, 러플, 스모킹, 뤼시, 플라운스, 드레이프 등이, 화학적 처리의 주름에는 크링클과 기계폴리츠 등이 있다. 주름의 디자인적 특성을 연구한 결과 첫째, 활동성이다. 주름의 기능과 장식을 고추 갖춘 디테일로서 옷감의 넓은 폭을 접거나 호아잡는 방법을 취한다. 이것은 신체의 활동량에 대한 충분한 여유를 제공하는 기능적인 역할을 하게 된다. 둘째, 유동성이다. 흐르는 듯한 유동성은 의복에서 드레이프에서 찾아 볼 수 있다. 드레이프 의복은 곡선적이며, 우아한 양감을 가지며 이처럼 부드럽게 연결되는 양감이 바로 유동미를 느끼게 한다. 셋째, 주름은 신체 위에 입혀짐으로써 평면상에서의 단조로운 반복이 3차원적인 신체의 운동감에 의해 새로운 형태로 표현되어짐을 알 수 있다. 이것은 리듬감과 율동성으로 연관되어진다. 넷째, 유희성이다. 유희하는 인간으로서 주름은 인간의 본연적인 창의의 욕구와 80년대 이후 즐거움을 추구하는 사회경향과 관련되어 조형적 의지를 보여준다. 다섯째, 입체감이다. 입체적인 3차원적인 인체 위에 평면적인 2차원의 소재를 두르면서 생기는 것이 바로 주름이다. 이러한 디자인적 특성은 독립적으로 작용하는 것이 아니라 상호 유기적인 모습으로 나타나게 된다. 화학적 처리에 의한 크링클과 기계 폴리츠의 주름을 잘 표현하고 있는 대표적인 디자이너는 잇세이 미야케이다. 그의 주름디자인의 특성은 주름디자인의 특성을 더욱ㅇ 과장하여 자유로운 형태의 추구, 양감의 확대, 편안합의 추구, 자연으로의 회귀, 입체적인 표면효과의 질감으로 나타난다. 이와 같은 잇세이 미야케의 주름표현기법은 현시대의 신소재 개발과 가공 테크닉에 대한 요구와 더불어 21세기를 향한 새로운 주름디자인 표현방식을 보여주고 있다. 이상의 주름디자인의 특성을 기본으로 하여 본 논문에서는 2001년 춘하를 위한 주름이 중심으로 된 기성복 디자인을 기획 생산하였다. 디자인 컨셉은 ‘True Romance'와 Futuristic Fusion'으로 나누어 실크소재의 스모킹 기법을 응용한 블라우스와 스커트를, 또한 플리츠 가공한 폴리에스테르 소재를 이용한 원피스와 실크 오간자 소재의 롱베스트 디자인을 전개하였다. 디자인 창작을 위한 컨셉과 코랄핑크와 실버 그레이를 컬러로, 수직실크와 플리츠 위한 컨셉과 코랄핑크와 실버 그레이를 컬러로, 수직실크와 플리츠 가공한 폴리에스테르와 실크 오간자를 소재로 선정하였다. 또 스모킹기법을 응용한 블라우스와 스커트, 슬리브리스 원피스와 롱 베스트의 디자인을 선정하고 이미지 맵, 패션 일러스트레이션, 작업 지시서를 작성하여 디자인을 전개하고 실물 제작하였다.
