초기 예수 전승 안에서의 식탁 교제에 관한 연구

Abstract

현대의 교회는 극히 제도화되고 신비로운 성찬마을 중시하는 데 비하여 실제 역사적 예수는 전혀 다른 유형의 식탁교제를 실천하였던 것으로 보인다. 본 논문은 역사적 예수와 예수운동의 식탁교제에 관한 연구이다. 예수 세미나(The Jesus Seminar)등 북미 대륙의 역사적 예수 연구는 식탁교제가 역사적 예수 활동의 가장 큰 특징이며 두드러진 양상을 보인다는 점이다. 본 논문의 목적은 역사적 예수가 행한 식탁교제가 담고 있는 특징은 무엇이었을까를 규정하는 것이다. 그리고 그거 정결 이데올로기로 묵여 있던 유대 사호에서 그의 식탁교제를 가지고 구현한 하나님 나라가 어떻게 이루어졌을까를 연구하는 것이다. Ⅱ장에서는 정결 개념의 역사적 맥락을 살필 것이다. 구약성서와 정결의 이데올로기를 문화인류학적으로 분석함으로써, 정결 이데올로기의 심층구조를 규명하려고 한다. 특히 그것은 장소, 시간, 그리고 사회계금의 각 차원에서 경계의 설정과 계급화를 통한 ‘구분’과 ‘분리’의 형태로 제도화되었다는 점을 설명할 것이다. Ⅲ장에서는 유대교의 전례 식탁교제들 가운데 바리새 하부라 식사와 쿰란 공동체 식사를 다루려고 한다. 두 식탁교제의 특징은 다르게 나타나지만 유대교의 폐쇄성, 차별성을 담고 있어서 그 식탁교제가 역기능의 정결 이데올로기로 작용한 구체적인 내용들을 살필 것이다. Ⅳ장과 Ⅴ장에서는 이상과 같은 배경에서 역사적 예수가 그의 식탁교제로써 무엇을 가르치고자 하였는지 다룬다. 그래서 이와 관련된 예수전승을 다루면서, 역사적 진정성과 신학적 분석 등을 면밀히 살펴볼 것이다. 우선 역사적 예수의 사역으로부터 그가 식탁교제를 나누셨음이 얼마나 확실한가를 밝히는 일과 거기에 드리워진 예수의 “사회 세계”는 무엇이었을까를 밝히는 일은, 이미 “신학화”되어 있는 초기 기독교 문서의 예수 이야기들을 가장 중요한 자료로 한다. 현대 교회가 세상을 향하여 베풀고 있는 제도화된 성만찬은 역사적 예수가 실천한 나눔으로 재해석되어야 할 것이다. 무엇을 어떻게 나누어야 할 것인가를 구체적으로 고민해야 한다. 교회는 다른 자에 대한 무조건의 사랑이요 용납과 수용을 배워 세상의 벽을 허무는 자리로서 하나님 나라를 현재의 삶에서 체험하는 곳이 되어야 한다. 본 논문은 이러한 맥락으로 역사적 예수의 구체적인 삶과 비유를 통한 그의 가르침을 살피면서 그가 추구한 하나님의 나라는 식탁교제에서 어떻게 발전하며 이루어져 갔는가를 연구 하고자 한다.;The table fellowship of the historical Jesus and his followers seems to be radically different from the Eucharistic meal practiced by modern Korean Christian churches. This thesis is a study on the table fellowship of the historical Jesus and the Jesus Movement as his successors. Recent New Testament scholarship in the North American countries on the historical Jesus recognized that the clearest evidence and characteristics of the mistry of the historical Jesus was his sharing the table fellowship with the social outcast. The purpose of this thesis is to identify the characteristics of the table fellowship by the historical Jesus and his teaching on the Kingdom of God against the background of the Jewish system of ritual purity. After the Chapter Ⅰ (Introduction), this study deals with the historico-religious context of the Jewish meal tradition in Chapters Ⅱ and Ⅲ. Chapter Ⅱ is a study of the system of ritual purity. The Jewish purity system is approached from a perspective of cultural anthropology. It is stressed that the ritual purity is institutionalized in the Jewish society by its social function of classification. Chapter Ⅳ is a study on common practices of the Jewish formal meal tradition. Especially the haburah meal of the Pharisees and the Holy Meal of the Qumran community are selected to be discussed, among the Jewish common practices. Chapters Ⅳ and Ⅴ deal with vision of the Kingdom of God which the historical Jesus and Jesus Movement tried to achieve by investigation authentic Jesus tradition. An emphasis is put on how it is historically true that the historical Jesus shared the table fellowship with the social outcast, and on what symbolic and social implication the table fellowship of Jesus had. This study tries to reveal that the Eucharistic table fellowship of the modern Christian communities should be reinterpreted through the table fellowship of the historical Jesus and Jesus Movement. Especially the social characteristic of the table fellowship of the historical Jesus should be considered as important.
