영산회상 가야금 선율 비교 연구

Abstract

Jul Pungryu Music, currently, consists of Kyungje Jul Pungryu transmitted by the National Center for Korean Traditional Performing Arts, Hyangje Jul Pungryu handed down in provinces, and Private Jul Pungryu inherited by the Masters of Sanjo. Hyangje Jul Pungryu is divided into many different types of Pungryu, such as Honam Pungryu(I-ri, Kurye, Gwangju, and Mokpo), Naepo Pungryu(Daejeon, Gongju, and Yesan), Youngnam Pungryu(Daegu, Busan, and Kyeongju), and Haeseo Pungryu(Haeju), which depend on their provinces. Among these types of Hyangje Pungryu, I-ri Pungryu and Kurye Pungryu of Honam Pungryu were designated as a Korean Intangible Cultural Asset No. 83 in 1985 and transmitted but rest of them has been handed down not very actively. Private Pungryu is the music which the Masters in Sanjo and Pungryu - Kim Changjo, Han Sukku, Kang Taehong, Kim Yunduk, and Shin Kwanyong - hand down to their students. As above, there are various types of Youngsanhoesang and this thesis has provided comparative studies of Youngsanhoesang performed in the National Center for Korean Traditional Performing Arts, Youngsanhoesang in Keumeunkeumbo, and melodies of 12-stringed zither of I-ri Hyangje Pungryu. The differences derived from the studies and distinctive features of variations on the melodies performed in the same music with different melodies have been described and summarized. Nine pieces of music performed in the National Center for Korean Traditional Performing Arts - Sangryungsan, Jundryungsan, Seryungsan, Garakdulee, Sanghyundodri, Hahyundodri, Yumbuldodri, Taryung and Gunak ? have been selected for the range of these comparative studies. These nine pieces of music have been chosen for Keumeunkeumbo and Iri Hyangje Pungryu, too. The thesis has made comparative studies of the melodies of only gayageum. It also has compared all melodies of gayageum in Youngsanhoesang of the National Center for Korean Traditional Performing Arts, Keumeunkeumbo, and Iri Hyangje Pungryu by changing into five staff notation. The differences of the melodies have been marked with □ to compare one another. Consequently, the variations on the melodies of gayageum have been shown in four types as below. First, the partition of a musical note appears. Second, the addition of a musical note appears. Third, mixed type of addition and partition appears. Lastly, the type of a reduced musical note appears. Playing certain portion of the same types of music differently is considered as a positive way of playing variations. In this regard, this writer believes that this way of playing should be encouraged.;현재 줄 풍류 음악은 국립국악원을 중심으로 전승되는 경제 줄 풍류 외에 지방에서 전승되는 향제 줄 풍류, 그리고 산조 명인들에 의해 전승되는 개인 줄 풍류 세 종류가 있다. 향제 줄 풍류 지방에 따라 호남(湖南)풍류(이리, 구례, 김제, 광주, 목포 등), 내포(內浦)풍류(대전, 공주, 예산 등), 영남 풍류(대구, 부산, 경주 등), 해서(海西)풍류(해주 등)등으로 구분되어 진다. 이러한 여러 향제 풍류 중에 호남 풍류에 속하는 이리풍류와 구례풍류가 1985년 중요무형문화재 제 83호로 지정되어 전승되고 나머지 풍류는 그다지 활발하게 전승되지는 못하고 있는 실정이다. 개인 풍류는 김창조, 한숙구, 강태홍, 김윤덕, 신관용 등 산조와 풍류에 두루 뛰어난 명인들과 그 제자에게 전승되는 풍류이다. 위와 같이 다양한 영산회상이 존재하는데 그 중 국립국악원에서 연주하는 영산회상과 『금은금보』에 나타난 영산회상 그리고 이리 향제 풍류의 가야금 선율을 비교하고 그 선율들이 서로 다르다면, 어떻게 다른지 또는 동일 곡을 연주하면서 서로 다른 선율로 연주한다면 변화하는 선율에는 어떠한 특징이 있는지를 살펴보았다. 연구범위는 국립국악원에서 연주되는 상령산, 중령산, 세령산, 가락덜이, 상현도드리, 하현도드리, 염불도드리, 타령 그리고 군악등 모두 9곡을 선택하였고, 『금은금보』와 『이리 향제풍류』에서도 동일하게 앞의 9곡을 선택하여 가야금선율만을 비교 서술하였다. 또한 국립국악원의 <영산회상>, 『금은금보』그리고 『이리 향제풍류』에 나타난 가야금선율을 모두 오선보로 역보 하여 비교하였고, 선율이 서로 다른 부분을 □표로 묶어 상호 비교 서술한 결과 가야금선율의 변화는 아래의 네 가지 형태로 나타난 것을 알 수 있었다. 첫째, 음의분할 형태가 나타났다. 둘째, 간음첨가 형태가 나타났다. 셋째, 음의분할과 간음첨가가 동시에 나타난 복합형태가 나타났다. 넷째, 음의축소 형태가 나타났다. 동일 계통의 음악을 부분적으로 서로 다르게 연주하는 것은 긍정적인 측면에서 변주의 한 방법으로 볼 수 있으며 이러한 연주는 앞으로 지속 되어야 할 것이라고 생각한다.
