Carl Reinecke의 Flute Sonata Op.167 "Undine"에 관한 연구 및 분석

Abstract

본 논문은 석사과정 이수를 위한 졸업 연주회에서 연주하였던 작품 Carl Reinecke(1824-1910)의 작품 중 Flute Sonata op.167 "Undine"을 연구 분석하였다. 라이네케는 낭만주의 시대에 시작된 신고전주의에 활동한 독일을 대표하는 작곡가로 슈만(R. Shumann)과 멘델스존(F. Mendelssohn)에게 많은 영향을 받은 음악가이다. 그는 작곡가, 피아니스트이자 지휘자로 많은 활동을 하였을 뿐 아니라 시인이자 화가이기도 한 다재다능한 사람으로 잘 알려져 있다. 플루트 소나타 “Undine"는 푸케(Friedrich De La Motte-Fouque 1777-1843)의 동명 소설에서 착안 된 매우 아름답고 서정적인 곡이다. 물의 정령인 운디네는 인간과의 사랑으로 영혼을 얻었으나 자신의 자유분방함과 인간의 변심으로 인해 버림받게 되어 결국 배신한 연인의 영혼을 빼앗고 슬퍼한다는 아름답고 슬픈 사랑의 이야기이다. 본 논문에서는 본 곡의 형식과 대위적 기법을 연구하고 곡의 기본이 된 소설의 내용, 그리고 선율과 이야기와의 관계를 연구하여 올바른 악보 해석과 연주에 도움이 되고자한다.;Carl Reinecke (1824-1910), a distinguished romanticism artist, was also a talented poet, painter and an officer. This thesis is the result of a careful study of Carl Reinecke’s Flute Sonata op.167 Undine. This piece, Undine, is consists four movements; Sonata form is used in the first movement, Rondo in the second, compound three part form in the third and last. The main keys of each movement in this Undine, are e minor, b minor, G Major and e minor, respectively, all being related keys. In addition, fast Rondo form in the second movement is converted to slow compound three part form in the third movement. This change reveals that Undine not only follows the traditional Sonata form but also expresses freedom of Romanticism. The first and second themes are introduced in the first movement. Melody A, B and C are presented in the second movement while melody D and E are shown in the forth movement. These major melodies include different motives. Counterpoint is properly used in the narratives of the story. One can find that imitation, dialogue, parallel, contrary motion, stretto and others. Carl Reinecke’s Undine Sonata for Flute, has an intimate relationship with Nicolas Fouquet’s novel, Undine. Each movement is closely connected with the plot. This reveals that Reinecke’s Undineis based on the novel and expresses it beautifully.
