L. v. Beethoven의 <Bagatelle, Op.126>에 관한 연구

Abstract

Ludwig van Beethoven(1770-1827) was one of the representative composers of the classical era with Franz Joseph Haydn, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and a important person played an transitional role from classic to romantic era. Especially, in his late works, composed in form 1816 to 1827, he showed development of music style from classical era to romantic era and romantic traits. The study is focused on Beethoven’s musical and romantic traits incorporated in Bagatelle, Op.126, one of his late works. Bagatelle, Op.126 reveals significant characteristics of his late works are condensed in the form of Bagatelle. Bagatelle, Op.126, completed in 1823-1824, is made up of 6 pieces. By used motives and textures, 6 pieces is connected organically and complete integral one work. Bagatelle, Op.126 showed characteristics of romantic music as well as classic music. That is use of variation, counterpoint texture, the frequent modulations, chromatic progression, and syncopation. In this study, prior to analyzing Bagatelle, Op.126, Beethoven’s bagatelle is researched as well as Beethoven’s extraordinary life and his late piano works. And Beethoven’s Bagatelle, Op.126 is studied and analyzed on form and structure, key and harmony, melody and the relationship among 6 pieces of this work.;본 논문은 필자의 석사 과정 이수를 위한 졸업 연주 프로그램 중 하나인 베토벤(Ludwig van Beethoven, 1770-1827)의 <바가텔(Bagatelle), Op.126>에 대한 연구로 이 작품에 대한 의의를 찾는 것에 목적이 있다. 베토벤은 독일의 유명한 작곡가이자 피아니스트이다. 그는 고전 음악과 낭만 음악을 잇는 인물로 그의 작품에는 하이든(Franz Joseph Haydn, 1732-1809), 모차르트(Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, 1756-1791)로부터 물려받은 고전 음악 양식과 함께, 이후 시대 흐름인 낭만주의 음악적 경향이 나타난다. 특히, 베토벤의 작품에 나타나는 낭만 음악적 성격은 그의 후기 작품에서 잘 나타나며, 이는 당대의 작곡가뿐 아니라 후대의 작곡가들에게 영향을 주었다. 베토벤의 후기 작곡된 대표적인 피아노 작품으로는 <Bagatelle, Op.126>이 있다. <Bagatelle, Op.126>은 1823-24년에 작곡된 작품으로 모두 여섯 개의 짧은 곡들로 구성되어 있다. 이 작품을 이루는 여섯 곡은 각각 독립되어 보이지만, 곡에 사용된 형식과 장 3도 관계로 연결되는 여섯 곡의 조성 관계, 곡에 사용된 동기와 동일한 음악 구조 등 음악 소재에 의한 연관성에 의해 하나의 작품을 이루고 있다. 그리고 <Bagatelle, Op.126>에는 단순하고 자유로운 주제 선율과 악상의 대조, 상세하게 표기된 지시어, 카덴차와 리듬의 자유로운 변주, 마디의 경계선 약화, 잦은 전조와 반음계적 진행 등 낭만주의 음악에 나타나는 음악적 성격이 잘 나타나 있다. 본 논문은 작품 분석에 앞서 베토벤의 후기 피아노 작품과 낭만음악적 경향과 베토벤의 바가텔에 대해 연구하고, <Bagatelle, Op.126>의 형식과 선율, 리듬 등의 작품 속에 나타나고 있는 음악 어법을 분석하고자 한다. 그리고 더 나아가 이 작품을 이루는 여섯 곡의 형식과 조성 관계, 사용된 동기와 음악적 소재에 의해 연관성과 작품 속에 나타난 낭만 음악적 경향에 대해 연구하고자 한다.
