유아를 위한 성경에 기초한 교회교육 프로그램 모형 개발

Abstract

본 연구의 목적은 유아를 위한 성경에 기초한 교회교육 프로그램을 운영하기 위한 적합한 모형을 개발하기 위한 것이다. 연구목적에 따른 연구문제는 다음과 같다. 1. 유아를 위한 성경에 기초한 교회교육 프로그램 구성에 대한 유아 담당 교회교육사역자와 학부모, 전문가의 요구는 어떠하며, 이를 통한 프로그램의 구성은 어떠한가? 1-1 유아를 위한 성경에 기초한 교회교육 프로그램 구성에 대한 교회교육사역자의 요구는 어떠한가? 1-2. 유아를 위한 성경에 기초한 교회교육 프로그램 구성에 대한 학부모의 요구는 어떠한가? 1-3. 유아를 위한 성경에 기초한 교회교육 프로그램 구성에 대한 전문가의 의견은 어떠한가? 1-4. 유아 담당 교회교육사역자와 학부모의 요구, 전문가의 의견을 통한 유아를 위한 성경에 기초한 교회교육프로그램의 구성은 어떠한가? 2. 유아를 위한 성경에 기초한 교회교육 프로그램의 실행 및 평가는 어떠하며, 이를 통한 프로그램의 수정 및 보완 내용은 무엇인가? 2-1. 유아를 위한 성경에 기초한 교회교육 프로그램의 실행 및 평가 결과는 어떠한가? 2-2. 유아를 위한 성경에 기초한 교회교육 프로그램의 수정 및 보완 내용은 무엇인가? 3. 개발된 유아를 위한 성경에 기초한 교회교육 프로그램 모형은 어떠한가? 유아를 위한 성경에 기초한 교회교육 프로그램 모형 개발에 대한 연구문제에 따른 연구방법과 연구결과를 정리하면 다음과 같다. 연구문제 1번을 위한 연구방법과 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 프로그램 초안을 구안하기 위하여 선행 연구와 관련문헌을 조사하였고 예비 프로그램 모형의 실효성을 확인하기 위해서 예비 연구를 실시하였다. 교회교육현장의 수요자 요구를 파악하기 위해 요구 분석을 실시하였다. 요구 분석 대상은 서울시에 위치하고, 4개 교단(대한예수교장로회 합동, 대한예수교장로회 통합, 기독교대한감리회, 하나님의 성회)에 속한 8개 교회의 유아담당 교회교육사역자 8명과 동일한 교회에 소속된 유아들의 학부모들 181명을 대상으로 하였다. 예비 연구와 요구분석을 통해 얻은 자료와 전문가 협의회와 전문가 자문을 통해 본 프로그램 실행을 위한 프로그램 모형을 구안하였다. 연구문제 2번을 위한 연구방법과 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 구안된 유아를 위한 성경에 기초한 교회교육 프로그램의 적절성을 알아보기 위해 요구 조사에 참여한 교회 중 한 곳인 서울시 중랑구 K 교회에 소속된 만 4, 5세 유아 15명과 그 부모들 15명을 대상으로 프로그램을 운영하였다. 2008년 3월 22일부터 2008년 5월 17일까지 실시하였으며, 9주간 토요일 마다 매주 1회씩 총 9회 실시하였다. 1회기 1시간 30분씩 총 13시간 30분을 운영하였다. 교회에서 운영되는 프로그램과 아울러 가정에서는 부모와 함께 매일 성경읽기와 기도하기를 실시하였다. 실시한 프로그램이 유아들의 신앙발달에 미친 영향을 알아보기 위해 평가를 실시하였다. 유아들을 대상으로 기독교 ‘인지적 신앙’과 ‘신뢰적 신앙’에 대해 프로그램 사전, 사후 면접 검사를 실시하였다. 면접 검사 점수는 대응 표본 t-test 검정으로 분석 결과 프로그램이 유아들의 기독교 신앙에 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또, 프로그램을 통한 유아 기독교 ‘행동적 신앙’에 미치는 효과를 측정하기 위해 매주 부모들은 저널쓰기를 실시하였다. 부모들이 기술한 저널을 통해 프로그램은 유아들의 ‘행동적 신앙’에 긍정적인 영향을 미친 것으로 나타났다. 프로그램 모형의 적절성을 알아보기 위해서 다양한 평가를 실시하였다. 프로그램의 실시 4회 후에 부모들을 대상으로 프로그램에 대한 개방식 설문을 조사하였고, 프로그램 종료 후 부모들을 대상으로 최종 평가 설문지를 작성하도록 하였고, 유아들을 대상으로 기분카드를 가지고 프로그램에 대한 생각을 조사하였다. 그 결과 대부분 부모들은 본 프로그램이 유아를 위한 성경에 기초한 교회교육 프로그램으로 적절하다고 응답하였으며, 유아들도 프로그램에 대해 긍정적인 평가를 하였다. 이러한 평가 결과를 중심으로 수정, 보완하여 최종적인 프로그램 모형을 완성하였다. 연구문제 3번인 개발된 유아를 위한 성경에 기초한 교회교육 프로그램 모형을 살펴보면 다음과 같다. 교육목표는 크게 하나님과 관계와, 사람들과 관계로 나누어진다. ‘하나님과 관계’를 위해 세워진 목표는 첫째 하나님을 알아간다, 둘째 하나님을 경험한다, 셋째 하나님을 믿는다, 넷째 예수님의 십자가 구원을 알고 믿는다, 다섯째 예수님의 제자가 된다이다. ‘사람들과 관계’를 위해 세워진 목표는 첫째 긍정적 자아를 기른다, 둘째 다른 사람을 존중한다이다. 교육내용은 프로그램 오리엔테이션과 4 영역, 하위 8 주제로 조직되었다. 4 영역은 ‘천지창조’, ‘하나님과 관계’, ‘십자가 구원’, ‘사람들과 관계’이며, 하위 8 주제는 하나님이 만든 세상은 아름다워요, 하나님은 우리를 보고 기뻐해요, 하나님은 우리와 함께 계세요, 하나님은 우리 모두를 사랑해요, 하나님이 우리를 구원하셨어요, 우리는 하나님 말씀을 지켜요, 우리는 하나님의 말씀을 전해요, 우리에게 하나님이 주신 꿈이 있어요로 구성된다. 프로그램의 활동방법은 성경이야기 들려주기, 성경 암송, 성경이야기(관련 이야기)와 관련된 선택 활동, 기도, 찬양, 공동체 활동 등으로 구성된다. 교회에 소속된 만 4, 5세 유아들과 그 학부모들을 대상으로 하며, 매주 1회 9주간 총 9회 운영되어지고, 1회기 운영시간은 1시간 40분이다. 교회와 참여하는 학부모들의 상황과 여건에 따라 운영 일시는 융통성있게 적용하도록 한다. 부모들은 9회 참석 가운데 7회는 유아들과 함께 활동하고, 2회는 부모들을 위한 프로그램에 참여한다. 교회에서 프로그램 진행과 아울러 가정에서는 부모와 유아들이 매일 성경읽기와 기도를 실시한다.;The purpose of this study was to develop a new program model that is appropriate to manage a Church education program based on the Bible for preschool-aged children. The research questions addressed in this study are as follows: 1. What are the expectations of ministry leaders in charge of the Sunday school, parents, and early childhood education professionals for the Church education program? And how are their expectations reflected in the construction of the program? 1-1. What are the expectations of ministry leaders for the Church education program? 1-2. What are the expectations of parents for the Church education program? 1-3. What are the perspectives of early childhood education professionals on the Church education program? 1-4. How are the expectations of ministry leaders in the Sunday school, parents, and early childhood education professionals reflected in the construction of the program? 2. How has the Church education program based on the Bible for preschool-aged children been implemented and what are the assessed outcomes? And what modifications and supplementations have been made since the program evaluation? 2-1. How has the program been implemented and what are the assessed outcomes of the Church education program? 2-2. What modifications and supplementations have been made since the evaluation of the Church education program? 3. What is the new program model? How well was the new model developed for the Church education program based on the Bible for preschool-aged children? The research methodology and results on the basis of research questions are outlined below: The research methodology and results of research question 1 are as follows. A draft of a new program model was developed through an overview of literary sources and previous research and a pilot study was performed to verify the effectiveness of the new program model. A survey was also performed to analyze the expectations of educational consumers in the Church education. The participants in the survey were 8 ministry leaders in charge of education and 181 parents of Sunday school children from 8 protestant churches in Seoul (the General Assembly of Presbyterian Church in Korea, the Presbyterian Church of Korea, the Korean Methodist Church, and the Assembly of God of Korea). The new program model and its objectives, contents, activities, and administration methods were constructed based on the pilot study and survey results, and through expert consultation and committee operation. The research methodology and results for research question 2 are as follows. To verify the appropriateness of the new program model, the program was initially performed at K church in Jungrang-gu, Seoul. A total of 15, 4- and 5-year-old children and their parents who had taken part in the previous survey participated in the program, which had a total of 9 sessions that were held once a week from March 22^(nd), 2008 through May 17^(th), 2008. The program was performed Saturday at the Church, with the additional component of time for parents to pray and read the Bible with their children every day at home. Before and after participating in the 9 program sessions, the effects of the new program model on children’s “Faith as believing” and “Faith as trusting” were evaluated by interviewing children. Using the data obtained from the interviews, a paired sample t-test was performed. The result indicates that the new program model has a positive effect on children’s faith. To investigate the effect of the program on children’s “Faith as doing,” parents were asked to write a journal once a week. They described that their children showed positive changes in terms of “Faith as doing” after the program. Many other evaluations were also performed to measure the appropriateness of the new program model. Parents were surveyed after the fourth program session, and a final evaluation survey was given to them after ending the program. The parents reported that the new program was appropriate for the Church education program based on the Bible for preschool-aged children. The children were asked how they felt about the program by using “Temper Picture Cards”, and they also responded positively to the program. Based on these results, the new program model was modified and supplemented, and a final version of the program model was developed through all theses processes. The new Church education program model based on the Bible for preschool-aged children is delineated as follows. The objectives have two main points; first, “the relationship between God and me,” and second, “the relationships between others and me.” For the main objective of “the relationship between God and me,” the first goal is to get to know God, the second is to experience God, the third is to trust God, the fourth is to know and believe the salvation through the crucifixion of Jesus, and the final goal is to become a disciple of Jesus. For the second main objective of “the relationships between others and me”, the first goal is to gain a positive self concept and the second is to respect others. The educational contents of the program are organized into an orientation part and four main parts: “the Creation,” “the relationship between God and me,” “the salvation through the cross,” and “the relationships between others and me.” The four main parts are further divided into eight sub-topics: “God created the beautiful world,” “God is pleased with us,” “God is with us,” “God loves all of us,” “God saves us,” “We follow God’s commands,” “We preach God’s words,” and “We have dreams from God.” Activities are included in the program, such as Bible story telling, memorizing the words in the Bible, Biblical free play, prayer, worship, large group activities, and so on. Children who are involved in Sunday school and their parents participate in the program for 1 hour and 40 minutes every week for a total of 9 sessions. Parents participate in the activities with their children for 7 sessions and then take part in the parents’ programs for 2 sessions. Concurrently, parents have time to pray and read the Bible with their children every day at home in accordance with the Church education program.
