W.A.Mozart의 Opera "Die Entführung aus dem Serail" K.384 중 Constanze의 Aria에 관한 작품분석

Abstract

본 논문은 18세기 후반부터 지금까지 전 세계적으로 많은 사랑을 받고 있는 작곡가 모차르트(Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart: 1756-1791)의 징슈필 ‘후궁으로부터의 유괴(Die Entfuhrung aus dem Serail)’에 나오는 콘스탄체(Constanze)의 아리아 세곡을 통해서 오페라 작곡에 대한 그의 이상이 콜로라투라 아리아에 어떻게 나타나는지를 연구하였다. 모차르트는 고전주의 시대의 대표적 작곡가로서 비록 짧은 생애를 살았지만 교향곡, 소나타, 협주곡, 오페라, 실내악 등 거의 모든 장르에서 다른 작곡가들을 능가하는 훌륭한 작품들을 무수히 남겼다. 그 중에서도 그는 오페라에 많은 관심을 쏟아 20여 편의 오페라 속에 그의 천재적인 음악성을 마음껏 표출시켰다. 모차르트의 오페라는 오페라 세리아, 오페라 부파, 징슈필로 나눌 수 있다. 이러한 사실은 모차르트가 이탈리아 오페라와 독일 오페라 모두에 능력이 있었음을 보여준다. 그의 오페라는 대본보다 음악이 우위를 차지하며 선율이 아름다울 뿐만 아니라 극적인 박력을 지니고 있다. 그는 극적 목적을 위해 어떤 가수의 목소리가 특별히 부각되는 것이 필요하다고 생각되는 경우에는 주저하지 않고 콜로라투라 기법을 사용하였다. ‘후궁으로부터의 유괴’는 1781년부터 2년에 걸쳐 모차르트의 명곡이 가장 많이 발표되었던 비엔나시기(1781-1791)에 작곡되었다. 이 작품은 18세기에 유행하던 동방을 배경으로 한 낭만적이면서도 희극적인 모험, 구출에 관한 사랑이야기이다. 모차르트는 이 한 작품을 통하여 당시 민족적인 오페라로 성장 중이던 징슈필을 단번에 위대한 예술의 영역으로 끌어올렸다. 본 논문에서는 아리아를 분석함에 앞서 작품의 이해를 돕기 위해 몇 가지 이론적인 배경을 살펴보았다. 먼저 18세기 오페라의 역사를 연구함으로써 징슈필이라는 장르의 특성을 살펴보고 모차르트의 생애와 오페라 작품들의 특징과 종류에 대해 알아보았다. 또한 콜로라투라 기법에 대해 살펴 본 후, ‘후궁으로부터의 유괴’의 전체적인 줄거리와 작곡 배경 등 작품 전반에 대해 고찰하였다. 그 후에 이 오페라에서 많이 불리는 콘스탄체의 아리아 세 곡 ‘Ach ich liebte, war so glucklich’ ‘Welcher Wechsel’, ‘Martern aller Arten’을 가사와 음악과의 관계, 형식구조, 조성, 선율, 리듬, 오케스트라 반주와 성악선율과의 관계, 연주기법 등을 중심으로 연구 분석함으로써 이 오페라에 나오는 콘스탄체의 아리아의 전반적인 음악적 특징을 고찰하였다.;This study was intended to study how Mozart’s ideal in a composition of opera was expressed in Coloratura Arias through three arias of Constanze contained in Singspiel ‘‘Die Entfuhrung aus dem in order Serail” of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart(1756-1791). Even though Mozart had a short life as a representative composer of classical period, he left a lot of great masterpieces that were superior to other composers in almost all genres such as a symphony, sonata, concerto, opera and chamber music. Most of all, Mozart expressed his musical talents in his 20 operas. Mozart’s opera can be divided into the opera seria, opera buffa, and Singspiel. Such fact indicates that Mozart was good at all of the Italian opera and German opera. In his opera, music was superior to a libretto. His opera showed a dramatic force as well as a beautiful melody. He used Coloratura technique without hesitation when he thought that a certain singer’s voice needed to be specially stressed for the dramatic intention. ‘‘Die Entfuhrung aus dem Serail” was composed in the Vienna period (1781-1791) when the largest number of Mozart’s masterpieces were published for two years from 1781. This master piece is a love story of romantic and comic adventure and rescue with the orient which was popular in the 18th century. Mozart improved Singspiel which was grown to the national opera at that time to the area of the great art through this masterpiece. In this study, several theoretical backgrounds were examined in order to understand the masterpiece before analyzing the arias. First of all, by studying the history of the 18th century’s opera, the characteristics of Singspiel genre were examined, and then Mozart’s life and opera's characteristics and type were examined. After looking into the Coloratura technique, the overall part of this opera such as the story and composition background were considered. After that, through studying and analyzing three arias of Constanze contained in ‘‘Die Entfuhrung aus dem Serail”; ‘Ach ich liebte, war so glucklich’ ‘Welcher Wechsel’, ‘Martern aller Arten’, focused on a relation of libretto and music, structure type, tone, melody, rhythm, relation between the orchestra accompaniment and vocal melody and a performance technique, the general musical characteristics of Coloratura Arias in this opera were considered.
