Edvard Hagerup Grieg Sonata For Violin And Piano No. 3 Op. 45에 관한 연구

Abstract

본 논문은 연구자의 석사 과정 이수를 위한 졸업 연주회에서 연주되었던 작품 중 하나인 Edvard Hagerup Grieg (1843 ~ 1907)의 Violin sonata No. 3 Op. 45에 관한 연구이다. 그리그의 생애와 시대적 배경, 음악적 특징을 살펴보고 곡의 형식, 선율, 화성과 조성, 박자, 리듬, 그 외의 기법을 통해 작품의 이해를 돕는데 목적을 두었다. 그리그는 노르웨이의 대표적인 음악가로 독일 낭만음악의 기초 위에 노르웨이의 민속적 요소를 도입하여 민족적 색채가 짙은 작품을 작곡했다. 당시의 사회적 주류(主流)를 이루었던 민족주의는 독일 음악의 영향에서 벗어나 민족음악을 연구하면서 독자적인 국민음악을 수립하는 역할을 하였다. 그리그의 음악에 있어 민족적 요소는 본질적인 것이며, 그리그 음악의 중요한 미학적 가치 중 하나라고 할 수 있다. 그리그의 바이올린 소나타 3번은 작곡가로서 성공을 거둔 후인 1887년경에 쓰여진 작품으로 실내악다운 요소와 협주곡의 효과가 같이 드러난다. 3악장의 자유로운 소나타 형식으로 구성되어 있으며 노르웨이 춤곡의 선율이 주제로 사용되는 것이 특징이다. 1, 2, 3악장 모두 주제들이 대비 및 반복되고 있으며 선율과 화성은 매우 단순하고 서정적이다. 전통적인 화성 진행과 대위법적인 기법, 반음계적 선율 진행, 관계조 외의 전조 및 다양한 연주기법이 사용되며 고전적인 것과 근대적인 것이 잘 조화된 작품이라 할 수 있다.;This dissertation is an analytic and stylistic survey of Sonata for Violin and Piano No. 3 Op. 45. Edvard Hagerup Grieg, one of the first and foremost composers of the Scandinavian nations who won international acclaim, has been an eminent symbol for Norwegian music. His well - known Sonata for Violin and Piano No. 3 Op. 45 was composed in 1887, and is the last of his three violin sonatas. This sonata consists of into three separate movements. The first movement is a free - sonata style which includes three themes and coda. The second movement follows with a three part series that uses Allegretto and Allegro molto. In the final movement, the structure consists of a new sonata style containing short coda and two themes. Grieg utilized simple melody, pedal point, chromatic scale, transposition to unrelative keys, and various performance techniques.
