현대사회의 소외에 대한 잠재의식적 표현연구

Abstract

인간은 사회관계 속, 사회화를 통해 그가 소속된 집단 속에서 사회와 집단문화를 학습함으로써 그 사회의 인간으로 갖추어야 할 능력을 개발하고 역할을 수행할 수 있는 가능성을 부여 받게 됨으로써 사회적 존재로서의 인간으로 성장해나간다. 하지만 현대사회를 구성하는 자본주의는 대량생산을 통한 물질적인 풍요와 함께 현대사회의 도시화, 산업화를 가져왔고 이로 인해 인간은 개인주의적인 성향이 심화되었고 또한 물질주의의 노예가 되어버렸다. 이로 인해, 인간은 사회와 자신과의 이질감을 느끼며 소외되고 분리된 자기 정체성에 대한 혼란을 느끼며 자신의 가치와 중요성을 상실해 가고 있다. 소외는 결국 신체적, 정신적 결함이 있는 이들만이 느끼는 감정이 아니라 현대를 살아가고 있는 현대인들을 지배하는 무의식이 의식화 된 것이다. 본인은 사회적 갈등의 원인과 문제점들이 타인 혹은 개인으로 인해 시작된다고 생각하였으나, 이러한 문제점들이 개인의 문제가 아닌 사회문제임을 인식하고 사회적 갈등으로서의 인간관계에 대한 관심을 계기로 이 논문을 연구하였다. 예술은 예술가의 창작 능력에만 관계하고 있는 것이 아니라 예술은 작가가 처한 현실을 담고 있다. 예술은 인간의 자기 확인 행위이며 자신과 이 세계와의 관계를 확인하는 작업이기도 하다. 예술은 작가의 의도된 바가 각각의 언어, 혹은 이미지를 통하여 의식적으로 표출되는 행위이기는 하지만 그 안에는 무의식적인 잠재의식이 내재되어 있다. 잠재의식은 예술가에게 있어 창조적 영감의 창고이며, 자신만의 독창적 세계를 표현할 수 있게 하는 정신의 영역인 것이다. 본인은 현대 물질사회가 만들어낸 풍요로움 이면에 상실되어져가는 인간의 존재에 대해 알아보고 현대인의 심리적이고, 정신적인 상황을 시각적 형식으로 표현하고자 하였다. 또한 본인만의 잠재의식 세계를 표현하여 사회와의 정신적 갈등을 인식하고, 균형을 찾고자 하는데 그 목적을 두었다. I 장에서는 연구의 목적과 연구 내용 및 방법에 대하여 알아본다. II 장에서는 사회적 존재로서의 인간의 본질에 대하여 살펴보고, 인간이 살고 있는 현대사회의 특징에 대해 살펴보기로 한다. 또한 현대사회에서 야기되어지고 있는 소외에 대하여 살펴보겠다. III 장에서는 예술창조에 있어 중요한 역할을 하는 의식과 무의식, 그리고 잠재의식에 대하여 알아보겠다. IV장에서는 현대미술에서의 사회적 갈등으로 인한 소외의 표현사례들을 보여주고자 한다. 작품 제작에 있어서는 현대사회에서의 갈등으로 인해 내면세계와 외부세계가 충돌하고 갈등하는 공간으로서, 잠재의식 속에 자리 잡고 있는 본인 자신의 주관적 감정들을 형상화 하였다. 본인은 개인적인 경험과 사고를 깊이 있게 고찰해 봄으로써 작가로서의 세계를 확립하고, 이를 기반으로 하여 독자적인 표현방식으로 작품을 구체화 하고자 한다. 현대사회 안에서 인간의 정서는 점점 메말라가고 있는 것이 현실이다. 인간은 서로가 서로를 믿지 못한 채 경쟁을 하며 살아가고 있지만, 역시 인간의 마음을 따뜻하게 하는 것은 서로와의 교류를 통해서이기도 하지만 따뜻한 감성을 표현할 수 있는 또 다른 것은 예술이 아닐까 생각한다. 예술이야말로 차가워진 인간의 마음을 움직이고 무언가 깨닫게 할 수 있게 한다고 믿는다.;A human develops the ability that a member of a society should have, bylearning the society and collective culture in the group he/she belongs tothrough socialization in social relationship, and grows up to a human as socialexistence being assigned the possibility to carry out his/her role. However, the capitalism, which comprises modern society, brings out theurbanization and industrialization of modern society as well as materialrichness through mass production. Because of this, humans has deepenedindividualistic tendency and has made themselves slaves of materialism. Then,humans are alienated feeling their heterogeneity against society, and areloosing their own values and importance in a state of confusion about theiridentities. Alienation is not a feeling that physically or mentally disabledpersons have, but is a conversion of the unconscious into the conscious,which governs modern people who live in the modern. Though I used to think that the causes and problems of social confliction arebegun by others or individuals, I have recognized that such problems are notindividual ones but social ones, and then starts this study with interest inhuman relationship as social confliction. Art not only is related to artists’ creative ability, but also contains their reality. Art is humans’action of self identification, and also is work thatidentifies the relationship between self and the world. While art is an act inwhich what an artist intends is consciously expressed through each languageor image, it contains unconscious subconsciousness in it. For artists,subconsciousness is both the storage of creative inspiration, and a mentalarea in which they can express their own creative worlds. I try to examine the human existence, which becomes lost behind therichness that modern material society has made, and to express modernpeople’s psychological/mental situations in visual forms. Also, I aim to make abalance with the recognition of mental confliction with society by expressingmy own subconsciousness. Chapter 1 describes the purpose, contents, and methodology of this study. Chapter 2 investigates the nature of the human as social existence, and theproperties of modern society. Also, I examine the alienation that is caused inmodern society. Chapter 3 explores the conscious, the unconscious, and the subconscious,which play important roles in art creation. Chapter 4 tries to show cases of expression of alienation in modern art dueto social confliction. In production of works, I have figured my own subjective feelings that occupymy subconsciousness, in which the internal world and the external worldcollide and conflict with each other due to conflicts in modern society. Examining my individual experiences and thoughts in depth, I try to establishthe world as an artist, and concretize works in an independent way. In the reality of modern society, human emotions are increasingly dried. I believethat though humans compete with each other not believing each other, mutualexchange makes human mind warm, but another thing that enables us to expresswarm sensitivity might be art. I believe that it is art that moves cold human mind and makes humans realize something.
