학업 우수 청소년의 부모애착, 학업적 자기효능감 및 진로포부간의 관계

Abstract

The present study examined the relationships between variables which effect on career decision-making for academically talented adolescents. This study used the structural equation modeling (SEM) to explore the influence and structure of parental attachment, academic self-efficacy on the career aspiration and gender difference in a sample of Korean students. Inventory of Parental Attachment, Academic Self- Efficacy Scale and Career Aspiration form were administered to 996 academically talented elementary, middle, and high school students. The data were analyzed with Pearson's correlation and structural equation modeling by AMOS 5.0 program. Results of the study support that the theory-based model is better fit than the rival model. Parental attachment have direct effects on academic self-efficacy, which in turn influences career aspiration. Parental attachment did not have direct effects on career aspiration. In addition, there is no significant difference between male students and female students on supported structural model. Implications of the results and suggestions for future research are discussed.;본 연구는 선행연구에서 밝혀진 요인들을 중심으로 학업 우수 남녀 청소년을 대상으로 부모애착, 학업적 자기효능감 및 진로포부간의 구조 관계를 알아보고 남녀 집단 간 구조 모형에 유의미한 차이가 존재하는지 살펴본 연구이다. 학업 우수 청소년의 진로 발달에 대한 연구는 아직까지 미흡하며, 특히 진로 변인과 심리적 변인들의 관계를 보는 연구는 거의 없다. 따라서 본 연구 결과는 학업 우수 청소년의 진로포부에 어떠한 심리적 변인들이 영향을 미치는지 알아볼 수 있으며, 이를 통해 학업 우수 청소년들의 발달적 적응을 도울 수 있는 차별화된 상담 서비스를 제공해줄 수 있을 것이다. 본 연구가 진행된 절차와 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 연구의 표본은 초, 중, 고등학교 학업 우수 남녀 청소년 총 996명을 대상으로 하였고, 부모애착 검사, 학업적 자기효능감 검사, 진로포부 질문지를 실시하였다. 둘째, 학업 우수 남녀 청소년의 진로포부에 영향을 미치는 변인들 간의 관계를 설명하고자 O'Brien 등(2000)의 연구를 기반으로 연구 모형을 설정하였다. 또한 본 연구에서 지지하는 연구 모형의 타당성을 반증하기 위해서 경쟁모형을 설정하였다. 연구 결과 이론 모형과 경쟁 모형은 모두 양호한 적합도를 나타냈다. 그 다음으로 x² 차이 검증을 이용해 두 모형의 자유도 차이에 따라 x²차이 값이 통계적으로 유의미한지 검증하였다. 자유도 차이 값이 유의도 수준 .05에서 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 없으므로 보다 간명한 모형인 연구 모형을 선택하였다. 즉, 부모에 대한 애착의 질이 높을수록 학업적 자기효능감이 높았다. 또한 학업적 자기효능감은 진로포부에 유의미한 영향을 미치고 있었다. 마지막으로 이러한 모형에 있어서 남녀 학업 우수 청소년 간에 차이는 존재하지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 본 연구결과는 부모애착의 질이 다르더라도 학업 우수 청소년이 학업적 자기효능감을 가질 수 있도록 도와주는 것을 통해 진로포부의 변화를 가져올 수 있음을 시사한다.
