學校 카운셀러의 役割期待에 관한 硏究

Abstract

本硏究는 학교 카운셀러의 役割 遂行에 중요한 영향을 미치는 人的要因 役割期待정도를 알아 보려는데 그 目的이 있다. 즉 학교 카운셀러에 대한 役割期待의 集團別. 領域別 差異 및 학교 카운셀러의 重要 役割順位에 대한 集團의 一致度를 檢證하려는 것이 本硏究의 目的이다. 따라서 本硏究에서 究明하고자 하는 문제는 다음과 같다. 1. 학교 카운셀러에 대한 각 集團의 전체적 役割期待는 어떠한가? 2. 학교 카운셀러에 대한 각 集團의 役割期待는 役割領域에 따라서 어떻게 다른가? 3. 학교 카운셀러의 重要 役割領域 順位에 대해서는 集團間에 어느 정도로 일치하고 있는가? 4. 학교 카운셀러의 役割知覺은 어느 集團의 役割期待와 가장 일치하고 있는가? 이를 위해 本硏究에서는 學校敎育計劃樹立, 地域社會活動, 個人相談, 訓育, 集團指導, 카운셀러의 自己改善, 授業 및 一般雜務의 7재 領域으로 나눈 40개 문항으로된 質問紙를 사용했으며, 그 硏究對象을 專門家, 行政家, 카운셀러, 一般敎師, 學父母, 學生의 6개 集團으로 구성했다. 그 結果 다음과 같은 結論을 얻었다. 첫째, 각 集團은 전체적으로 학교 카운셀러의 役割領域 중 個人相談과 集團指導의 領域에 대해서는 肯定的인 見解를, 訓育과 授業 및 一般雜務에 대해서는 否定的 見解를 보여주고 있음이 밝혀졌다. 둘째, 6개 集團이 학교 카운셀러에 대해 갖는 役割期待의 集團間 差異는 학교 카운셀러의 役割領域에 따라 다르게 나타났다. 즉 全體集團에게 학교 카운셀러의 가장 중요한 領域으로 인정된 個人 相談과 集團指導에서는 그 期待差가 심하지 않는데 비해, 학교 카운셀러의 부분적 役割領域으로 知覺된 敎育計劃樹立, 地域社會活動, 訓育, 카운셀러의 自己改善, 授業 및 一般雜務의 領域에서는 集團間의 期待差가 심한 것으로 나타났다. 특히 授業 및 一般雜務의 領域에서는 학교카운셀러와 專門家 對 行政家와 一般敎師의 役割期待差가 아주 심했다. 셋째, 本硏究에서 제시된 7개의 役割領域의 重要順位에 대한 全集團의 一致傾向은 〈W=.83〉으로 비교적 높은 편이었다. 다시말하면 이것은 각 集團이 학교 카운셀러의 각 役割領域에 부여하는 重要性의 順位에는 대체로 의견이 일치되지만, 각 領域에서 集團이 요구하는 役割期待에는 상당한 정도의 차이가 있음을 뜻하는 것이 된다. 넷째 학교 카운셀러의 役割知覺은 行政家 集團의 役割期待와 가장 일치하고 있다.;The purpose of this study is to identify the role expectations of personal factors which affect the accomplishment of counselor's roles. Specifically, it sets forth the following objectives : 1) To identify the differences of the groups' expectations about the school counselors. 2) To identify the counselor's role-types expected by the groups. 3) To determine the degree of agreement among the each groups' role expectation in ranking the counselor's role types. 4) To determine the degree of comformity between school counselor's role perceptions and each groups' role expectations. Method : For these objectives, this study used questionaire which consists of 40 items. The items were grouped into seven-areas of the counselor activities. This areas were : 1) promoting the general program; 2) establishing and maintaining community relationships; 3) providing services to individual students; 4) disciplinary commitment; 5) providing service to the group students; 6) counselor's self-development; 7) teaching and administrative responsibilities. The population sample included six groups of people considered to be interested in helping to define the roles and functions of the secondary school counselors. It involved 55 counselor educators and researchers, 38 school administrators, 65 secondary school counselors, 62 secondary school teachers, 166 parents, and 241 groups' scores. Findings : 1) In general the groups responsed positively to providing service to individual students and group students. Discipline commitment and Teaching and Administrative responsibilities were responded negatively. 2) The total score indicated that significant differences existed among the groups in their role expectations toward the secondary school counselors roles. Particularly, no significant differences were founded in area of providing service to individual student and group students, whereas significant differences were found in area of promoting the general program, establishing and maintaining community relationships, discipline commitment, counselors self development and teaching and administrative responsibilities. 3) The degree of agreement among groups registered W=83. This indicating a high degree of co-efficience. 4) School counselor's role-perception tend to be consistent with administrators role expectations.
