Abstract
본 연구는 유기실리콘 제4급 암모늄염을 면직물에 가공처리한 후 세균인 Staphylococcus aureus와 곰팡이인 Chaetomium globosum, Tricophyton mentagrophytes에 대한 항미생물성과 내세탁성을 알아보기 위해 실시되었다. 각 균주에 대한 항미생물성과 항미생물 최적 가공 조건은 균생육도와 Shake Flask법을 사용하여 평가하였고 항미생물제와 면직물과의 반응성을 조사하기 위해 시료에 부착된 암모늄염을 B.P.B test에 의한 투과율의 변화로 검토하였다. 항미생물가공포의 내세탁성은 가정용 자동세탁기법으로 고찰하였다. 그 결과 유기실리콘 제4급 암모늄염은 세균인 Staphylococcus aureus, 곰팡이인 Chaetomium globosum, Tricophyton mentagrophytes 순으로 항미생물성을 나타내었으며 항미생물가공시 항미생물성에 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 조건은 농도임을 알 수 있었다. 특히 Chaetormium globosum은 액비 30:1, 시간 30분, 온도 30℃의 가공조건일 경우 처리농도 0.5%(o.w.f.)에서 부터는 포자의 형성이 상당히 늦게 나타났다. 항미생물제와 면직물과의 반응성은 처리농도가 높을수록 온도와 시간은 각각 40℃, 30분일 때 가장 높게 나타났으며 적정 가공 조건으로 처리한 시료포의 세탁에 따른 내구성은 20회 세탁후에도 우수하였다.;The purpose of this study is to examine antimicrobial activity, fastness of the washing relating to three bacterial strains such as Chaetomium globosum, Trichophyton mentagrophytes and Staphylococcus aureus, and optimal processing conditions according to the sticking quantity of ammonium salt to antimicrobially finished fabric, when reacting the organic silicone quarternary ammonium salt to cotton fabrics in accordance with the change in concentration, temperature, and time. The result of this study is summarized as follows. 1. It was shown that the growth of Chaetomium globosum in untreated fabric is more rapid about six times than that of Trichophyton mentagrophytes on the seventh day, while the organicsilicone quaternary ammonium salt has more excellent antimicrobial activity of Chaetomium globosum than of Trichophyton mentagrophytes when antimicrobially finishing the cotton fabric by means of the organic silicone quaternary ammonium salt because the growth of Chaetomium globosum was restrained more than Trichophyton mentagrophytes. 2. The condition retaining the greatest effect on antimicrobial activuty was concentration. Then, it was shown that Staphylococcus aureus has excellent antimicrobial activity by indicating 96% bacterial reduction at 1.0% concentration, while Chaetomium globosum showed its growth restraint more than 92% at 3.0% concentration. Also Trichophyton mentagrophytes showed its growth restraint less than 71%. 3. It was also shown that reaction degree of ammonium salt to the cotton fabric increase with increase of its concentration. But its degree was lower than that of increase in concentration. 4. Chaetomium globosum showed that formation of its spore is remarkably late at the concentration more than 0.5% during antimicrobial finishing, under the condition of liquor ratio of 30:1, temperature of 30℃, and time of 30minutes. 5. The reaction of individual specimens to the organic silicone qwaternary ammonium salt according to finishing condition was most high at higherconcentration under the conditions of temperature of 40℃, and time of 30 minutes. 6. When washing the antimicrobially finished cotton fabric five, ten, and twenty times, respectively three strains showed nearly similar antimicrobial activity to the finished fabric. This fact means that its durability to the washing is very excellent.
