동양화의 공간처리방식을 이용한 일러스트레이션

Abstract

사람은 본능적으로 심리상태를 표현하고 싶어하고 그 표현은 사고에 의한 것이다. 그리고 어떤 방법으로 표현하든간에 사고는 일련의 개념들에 연속이다. 그래서 우리가 심리상태를 그림이라는 표현방법을 이용하여 나타내고자 할때 거기에는 우리만의 개념이라 할 수 있는 우리의 역사, 문화, 풍토등의 공통된 특징아 포함되므로 '그림'에 도달하기는 쉽지 않다. 서양의 경우는 '그림'에 이르는 방법으로 자기표현의 길을 체득하는 것이라 하는 반면 동양의 경우는 자기속에서 깨닫는 영원한 어떤 것으로 얻어진다고 가르치고 있다. 그래서 동양에선 그림 그리는 사람이라면 예술가 이전에 인간이어야 한다. 참된 그림을 그리는 사람이기 위하여 먼저 위대한 인격을 갖춘 인간이 되어야 한다. 까닭인 즉 그림은 마음의 표현이기 때문이다. 그림이 잘 되기 위해서는 만드는 사람의 영혼속에서 어떤 마음씨가 대응하여야 한다. 즉 내면적인 조화가 있어야 한다. 그러나 우리의 그림은 어떠한가? 지나치게 서구의 현대 문화를 무분별하게 수용한 나머지, 우리의 과거의 문화적 전통이 기억에서 사라져 가면서, 소홀히 여겨지고 있는 듯한 느낌이 없지 않다. 그래서 요즘은 과학적 기술, 기계만능주의적 시대 사조로 말미암아 점차 상실되어 가는 인간성의 회복과 인간의 존엄성에 대한 재인식에 귀를 기울이고 있다. 그림에 있어서도 생활주체로서 인간의 인격적 주체성이라는 의식하에 우리의 인간상에 맞는 그림에 대한 논의가 필요시 되고 있다. 그림은 현대사회의 병폐를 치유할 수 있는 강력한 잠재력을 가진 것으로 인간이 그의 전 인격을 쏟아가며 봉사해야 할 분야인 것이다. 여기서의 그림은 서양의 방법이라 할 수 있는 단순히 사실의 관찰과 현상의 분석, 종합만으로써는 해답이 나올 수 없고 동 (이후원문누락);Man has an instinctive desire to express images created in their mind. From mural paintings of the prehistoric age to the modern paintings, are pictures containing, such expressions of the mind. However, the form of expression differs from the East and West. Due to differences of the 'ideal human' compared in the content of history, culture and custom, In Asian cultures, to reach a state of 'Do' ('the foundation of cosmos' or 'the principle oif cosmos') that is based on Taoism is the ideal that man wishes to achieve. On the other hand, in the West, people attached importance to the activity of the spirit carried out by the rational principle on logical basis. Asian art is based on the spiritual subjectism and Western art is based upon materialism. There are many thoughts and theories in Asian art. Above all, Taoism is the most fundimental idea in Asian painting and it represents the fignre of the ideal human'. Also usage of the technique of 'space utilization' or 'Seokdo' expressing the state of 'Do' which reveals theroies worthy of investigation. 'Space utilization' in Asian painting is based on nature itself, composed with in nature. New techniques cannot develop without understanding of the old such as the technique of space utilization' expressed in the theory of 'Seokdo' and use of Chinese inks. We need to appreciate pictures which used this traditional technique of 'space utilization'. By learning our beautiful cultural heritage and applying it to modern painting, this in itself can create a technique. I regret not being able to express the technial peculiarity like the shading of Chinese ink paintings however I also tried to make a screen that omits the object without going to extremes as a restricted shape. As a result it brings the effect that the screen is extended infinitly. I would like to learn various techiques of Asian painting. and study continually about 'space utilization', shading of Chinese inks and the forms of Chinese characters.
