현대인의 마음속에 잠재되어 있는 원초적인 심성 표현 연구

Abstract

Ever since the 20th century, the modern society resulted from revolutional advance in the technology has brought a lot of material prosperity to human being. However, development of science and the structure of politics, culture and society have been out of our subjective controls and, furthermore, estranges human beings. We can see several problems resulted from abrupt modernization and many of us are trying to express the feeling of human estrangement and uneasiness. As such, we as human beings have a desire to escape from daily routine life and seek for a sanctuary and envy a child's mind. One day I asked a child "What are you drawing ?". He answered "As I can see". The answer meant that he saw a thing as it were and I had a strong impression from that. If we can simply and genuinely see complecated reality of our life as a child do, perhaps we can feel many problem situations in a different way. This study is an attempt to make modern human beings who have complecated way of thinking remind of their forgotten childern's mind. Accordingly, in the second chapter, I recognized the characteristics of modern times and related problems and examined what the negative impacts of those problems were. In the third chapter, I set up the children's genuine world as an Idea of which the moderns are dreaming. And I tried to understand the children's world through a searching for growing steps of children and general characteristics in children's painting expression. In the fourth chapter, I used several types of line in paintings to express children's pure and genuine world and I also used some types of geometrical figure, another sence, as taste. And I choked my paintings in the children's view point. In the fifth chapter, I made a conlusion that the role of illustration in modern life should be broaden from a simple transmission of theme to emotional and esthetical function based on humanistic visual environments and I also emphasized that above new role should be undertaken by many and continuous trials.;20세기 초반 이후부터 과학, 기술의 혁명으로 이루어진 현대사회는 인간에게 많은 물질적은 풍요를 가져다 주었다. 그러나 현대사회를 특징짖는 과학 기술과 정치, 문화 및 사회구조가 인간의 주체적(主體的)지배를 벗어나서 도리어 인간을 소외시키고 있다. 급격한 현대화에 의한 여러가지 문제들은 실제로도 나타나 있고, 그리하여 인간 소외 및 불안감이 보다 많은 사람들에 의해 표현되고 있는 실정이다. 이에 현대사회를 살아가는 인간들은 주위의 여러가지 생활에 부딪히는 현실을 탈피하려는 욕망을 갖게 되며, 안식처를 찾게 되고, 동심을 동경하게 된다. 어느날 논자가 그림을 그리는 한 어린이에게 '무엇을 그리니?'라고 물어본 적이 있었다. 그러자 그 어린이는 '그냥 보이는 대로 그려요'라고 대답하였다. 이는 대상을 있는 그래도 순수하게 봄을 의미하는 것이며 논자는 거기에서 깊은 감명을 받았다. 복잡한 현실을 어린 아이처럼 순수하고 단순하게 볼 수만 있다면, 도처에 널려 있는 문제되는 상황들은 아마 다르게 느껴질 것이다. 본 연구는 이렇게 복잡한 머리를 가진 현대인들에게 잊고 있던 동심을 생각케하여 하나의 안식처를 제공하기 위한 시도라고 할 수 있다. 따라서 우선 Ⅱ장에서는 현대사회의 특성과 거기에서 파생되는 여러가지 문제점들을 살펴보고 그것들이 우리 인가에게 미치는 부정적인 영향을 고찰하였다. Ⅲ장에서는 어린이의 순수한 세계를 현대인들이 동경하는 하나의 이데아 보았다. 그리하여 어린이들의 성장발달 단계와 어린이의 그림에서 나타나는 표현의 일반적 특징을 살펴봄으로서 어린이의 세계를 간접적으로나마 이해하려 보고자 하였다. Ⅳ장에서는 작품표현에 있어서 어린이의 순수하고 꾸밈없는 세계를 표현하는 수단으로 여러가지 형태의 선과 또 하나의 감성인 기하학의 형태를 조미료적인 역할로 가미하였고 이를 어린이의 시각에 입각하여 분석해 보았다. Ⅴ장의 결론에서는 현대사회 속에서 일러스트레이션은 주제를 전달하는 기능적 요소뿐 아니라 휴머니즘적 시각환경을 형성하는 정감에 바탕을 둔, 정서적 심미적 기능이 더욱 부각되어야 하며 이는 보다 많은 사람들에 의해 끊임없이 새롭게 시도되어야 할 시각적 과제임을 강조하였다.
