빛의 象徵的 意味의 視覺的 表現 硏究

Abstract

현대의 사회, 문화적 제반 문제는 인간의 문제와 분리하여 생각할 수 없다. 성경에 의하면, 모든 문제의 근본 원인은 인간의 죄로 인한 것이며, 그러한 문제를 해결하기 위해서는 그리스도를 통한 구원사적 조망이 필요하다. 본 논문은 이러한 사회, 문화적 딜레마를 기독교적 시각으로 분석하고, 기독교 문화관(View point of Christian Culture)의 관점에서 Francis A. Schaeffer, Hans R. Rookmaaker, Robert E. Webber, James. W. Sire 등의 신학자들의 주장을 근거로, 사회, 문화, 예술을 바라보는 시각을 제시해 보았다. 죄로 인해 죽음의 길에 서 있는 인간에게, 하나님의 구속의 은총을 선포하는 작업이 각 생활영역, 학문영역에서 있어져야 하기에 본인은 시각 표현 영역에 있어서 그것을 시도하고자 한다. 어두운 죄를 이기는 것은 빛이므로, 성경속에 나타나는 빛의 의미를 분석하여 표현의 구체성을 모색하였다. Martin Luther에 의하면, 인간의 존재를 비추는 빛은 자연의 빛, 은총의 빛, 영광의 빛 세가지로 나눌 수 있다. 그 중 인간으로 하여금 하나님을 알도록 해주는 빛은 은총의 빛으로, 그 핵심은 바로 구속자인 예수그리스도를 통하여 나타내시는 하나님 자신이다. 이 빛의 의미는 하나님의 사랑, 구원, 은혜, 생명으로 해석된다. 이것의 표현은 일반적인 방법으로는 한계점이 있기에 optical illusion의 효과를 활용하였다. optical illusion은 시지각의 distortion 작용으로서, 움직임과 흔들림 등에 의한 환상적 효과를 지닌 것이다. 때문에 optical illusion 효과의 활용은 영적 의미의 빛을 표현하기에 적절한 방법이라 할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 성경에 나타난 상징적 의미의 빛을 optical illusion 효과의 활용으로 시각적 표현을 하였다. 그리스도인으로서, 그 문화적 사명을 간과하지 않으려는 노력의 일환으로, 시각디자인 영역에서 하나님의 주권적 사랑을 이웃에게 증거하려는 시도가 본 논문의 의의라 할 수 있다.;Every problem of modern societ and culture can not be thought excluding that of human beings. According to the Bible, the fundamental sources of all the problem came from human original sin. For the solution of such a matter, a view of redemptive history is needed through the grace of Jesus Christ. This study analyzed the social and cultural dilemma from the view point of christianity and suggested a opinion which looks at society, culture and art, based on the contention by the theologians such as Francis A. schaeffer, Hans R.Rookmaaker, Robert E. Webber and James W. sire from the view point of christian culture. For this work proclaiming the grace of salvation by God is to be in the sphere of living and leaning to the man placed in the mortal original sin, I try to the present it in the sphere of visual expression. As an alternative, the concreteness of expression is sought for to understand the light, or what kind of light needed in this period by looking for the significance of light presented in the Bible. Judging from the interpretation by Martin Luther, the light can be divided into three lights, Which are the light of nature, the light of grace, and the light of glory in the prospect of human existence. The light of grace among them which let person understand God is in itself God Himself appeared through Jesus Christ found in appearance as a man. The meaning of light is interpreted as the love of God and the salvation, grace,and eternal life. Its expression introduced the application of the effection of optical illusion because of the limits in the general technique. Optical illusion have a fantastic effect by movement and shaking with the distortion of visual sense. Therefore this is regarded as the adequate method for the expression of light in the spiritual significance. Thus this study tried to represent the symbolic meaning of light with the use of optical illusion and show the reflected object with the easy and common visual language. The significance of this study can be heard as following: that is an attempt which demonstrates the love of God to the our neighbor in the aspect of visual design with an effort not to overlook the cultural duty as a christian.
