奎章閣 韓國本 禮書 硏究

Abstract

In the Confucian society of the Orient, "Ye(禮)" had been the basis for moral and physical Life. Particularly in the Yi Dynasty of Korea which as a confucianism oriented society stressed it greatly, "Ye(禮)" influenced deeply in the areas such as politics, law, ethics, education, life style, etc., Accordingly, many books on "Ye(禮)" had been compiled and published. These books may well be considered as valuable material for historical studies of the social culture of that time. Since "Ye(禮)" changes in accordance with situations of the time and the content of books in turn reflects the changes of the time. In this thesis, having realized such importance of "Ye(禮)" books , the writer investigated and studied the 84 kinds of "Ye(禮)" books presented in the Kyujanggak(奎章閣) Collection with the objective of a basic rearrangement about "Ye(禮)" books of the Yi Dynasty. Namely, the content of this thesis involves a catalog of the 84 kinds of "Ye(禮)" books, an enumeration of illustrations, and a summary of explanation. "Ye(禮)" books can be largely classified by contents such as the book of "Five Ye(五禮)," the book of "Family Ye(家禮)," the book of "Three Ye(三禮)," and the rest. The book of "Five Ye(五禮)" was compiled largely in order to establish a discipline of ruling and to organize a national system. The book of "Family Ye(家禮)" was compiled as the guideline of daily life. While the book of "Three Ye(三禮)" books were born out of social needs. The morphological characteristics of "Ye(禮)" books involve many illustrated boots explaining "Ye(禮)" in figures; that the majority were made in wood blocks and type printing; and that there were no small number of reprints, reingravings, and hand writer copies. The above facts suggest the "Ye(禮)" was given a serious attention, causing a wide distribution of "Ye(禮)" books. Thus "Ye(禮)" books, according to the contents contained, not only offer themselves as valuable material for historical studies of the social culture, but also render the artistic value to aesthetic works and arts of printing.;禮는 古代 東洋 儒敎社會에 있어서 精神的·物質的 生活의 기준이었다. 특히 우리나라의 朝鮮시대는 禮를 重要視한 儒敎中心社會로, 禮가 政治·法律·倫理·敎育·生活慣習등의 모든 분야에 깊이 영향을 미치었고, 많은 禮書들이 편찬·刊行되었다. 禮書는, 禮가 시대적인 상황에 의해 변화함에 따라서 수록된 내용도 시대적 인 변천을 반영하고 있으므로, 역사적으로 사회문화를 연구함에 貴重한 資料라 하겠다. 本 論文에서는 禮書의 이러한 重要性을 인식하고, 朝鮮朝의 禮書에 대한 기초적인 정리를 목적으로 현재 奎章閣에 소장된 84種의 禮書를 根幹으로 書誌적인 면에서 연구 고찰하였다. 즉 84種의 禮書에 대한 目錄을 作成하고 圖名을 열거하였으며, 그 編定과 沿革을 述要하고 書目을 歷代的으로 살펴서 脈絡을 要略·解明하였다. 奎章閣所藏의 禮書는 世宗代에 五禮儀가 편찬되기 시작한 이래, 1550年에는 ＜奉先雜儀＞가 家禮書로 처음 보이며. 禮書는 내용상 五禮書, 家禮書, 三禮書, 그밖의 禮書등으로 大別할 수 있는데, 五禮書는 국가제도의 정비와 통치의 기강을 세우기 위해 많이 편찬되고 家禮書는 一般私家에서 日常生活의 지침서로 편찬되었으며, 三禮書는 학문연구를 위해, 그밖의 禮書는 사회적인 필요등에 의해 편찬되었다. 이밖에 禮書의 형태적인 특징은 禮를 그림으로 설명한 繪圖本이 많다(23種)는 점, 木板과 活字로 印出된것이 대부분(59種)인 점, 覆刻本·後刷本·後寫本등도 적지 않다(10種)는 점등인데 이러한 사실은 당시 禮가 重視되어 禮書가 많이 領布되었음을 시사한다고 하겠다. 이와 같이 禮書는 수록한 내용에 의해 역사적인 社會文化연구의 귀중한 자료가 될 뿐만 아니라 繪圖가 많이 수록되고 板刻이 많이 되어서 美術과 印刷術의 藝術的가치도 지니고 있다.
