Congruent ideas in existential psychology and Buddhist teachings

Abstract

The thesis deal with congruent ideas in Existential and Buddhist psychologies. Its main goal was to discover and analyse psychological aspects of oriental thought from an Existentialist point of view. Data were gained by surveying, and comparing relevant litterature. Impermanence, phenomenological basis, introspection, search for meaning and commitment, and preoccupation with ideal mode of being were identified as being congruent in both psychological approaches.;본 논문은 실존심리학과 불교심리학의 일치되는 개념들을 다룬것이다. 본 논문의 주된 목적은 실존주의적인 관점에서 본 동양사상의 심리학적인 면을 발견하고 분석하는 데 있었다. 본 논문의 주제에 적합한 문헌들을 조사하고 비교하여 자료들을 수집하였다. 비영구성, 현상학적 근거, 내성(內省), 의미와 사명감의 탐구, 존재의 이상형에의 몰두 등이 실존심리학과 불교심리학의 일치되는 개념들로 나타났다.
