MRP시스템의 성공에 영향을 미치는 요인에 관한 연구

Abstract

Recently, MRP system has been increasingly introduced to electronic companies in Korea, but there are not many successful MRP systems. Even in America where MRP system was born , there are not many successful MRP system there. So, it is important to understand success factors for MRP system. The purpose of this study is to identify the influencing factors for successful introduction and implementation of MRP system based on the following procedures. The research procedure is as follows : First, to identify the unique characteristics of the MRP system, the MRP system in technical areas and administrative areas, organization behavioral areas were analyzed. Second, to find out the influencing factors for successful implementation of the MRP system in these areas and criteria of successful implementation, successful cases and relevant literatures were reviewed based on the above characteristics. Third, to find out the success factors relevant to korean situation, the above factors were analyzed using the multiple regression analysis. The relevant literatures were reviewed to develop theoretical framework and the questionaires for the empirical study. The results were as fellows : 1. The durations of MRP system implementation did not significantly influence success of MRP system but the job environment were little influenced. 2. Three groups of success factors were, identified by comparing responses from the successful group and unsuccessful group. Success factors in the technical areas were : thechnical design, formality of production planning process, quality of the data and information and efficiency of inventory management. Success factors in the administrative areas were : role of top management, formulation of MRP system project team, degree of education and training. Success factors in the organization behavioral areas were : user involvement and human resistance to change. 3. Of these, "quality of the data and information" and "degree of education and tranining" were chosen as CSFs of MRP system.;최근 MRP시스템이 국내에 대거 도입되고 있다. 그러나 MRP시스템의 본국인 미국에서조차도 성공적인 MRP시스템은 많지 않으며 따라서 국내 제조기업들이 MRP시스템 성공요인에 대하여 관심을 갖기 시작했다. 이 연구의 목적은 성공적인 MRP시스템 도입 침 이행에 영향을 미치는 요인과 중요성공요인을 파악하는 것이다. 이러한 목적을 달성하기 위한 연구과정은 아래와 같다. 첫째, MRP시스템의 특징을 파악하기 위해 MRP시스템의 기술적, 경영관리적, 조직행위적 측면을 분석한다. 둘째, 기존의 연구논문과 MRP시스템 성공사례에서 MRP시스템성공에 영향을 미쳤던 요인과 MRP시스템 성공도를 측정하는 변수를 위의 세가지 측면에서 파악한다. 세째, 실증조사를 통하여 영향요인 중에서 국내기업에 맞는 MRP시스템 성공요인을 도출한다. 네째, 국내기업의 상황을 고찰하여 봄으로써, 성공요인으로 도출된 요인들을 분석하고 MRP시스템 도입전략을 살펴본다. 본 연구를 위한 조사방법으로는 이론적 연구를 위하여 문헌연구를 하는 한편 실증적 연구를 위하여 설문지 조사를 실시하였다. 이러한 연구과정을 통해 얻어진 결과는 아래와 같다. 1. MRP시스템의 도입기간은 MRP시스템의 성공에 중대한 영향을 미치는 요인이 아님을 알게 되었다. 다만 성공도 측정 변수중 직무의 분위기만이 도입기간에 의하여 영향을 받았다. 2. 기술적, 경영관리적, 조직행위적 측면에서 MRP시스템의 성공에 영향을 미치는 요인을 도출하였다. 즉 기술적 측면에서는 기술적 설계, 생산계획의 공식화 정도, 자료와 정보의 질, 재고관리의 효율성등이 도출되었고, 경영관리적 측면에서는 최고경영자의 역할, 프로젝트팀의 형성, 교육과 훈련의 정도등이 도출되었고, 조직행위적 측면에서는 이용자 참여와 변화에 대한 저항등이 도출되었다. 3. 위에서 도출된 9개의 성공요인을 다중회귀분석하여 상대적인 영향력을 비교한 결과 자료와 정보의 질, 교육과 훈련의 정도가 중요성공요인으로 도출되었다. 여기서 밝혀진 영향요인과 중요성공요인은 MRP시스템의 도입 및 이행전략을 수립할때 고려해야할 요인들이다.
