現代人의 疎外現象에 관한 視覺的 表現

Abstract

인간은 그들의 편의와 행복을 위하여 도구를 발전시키고 자연을 정복하여 현대사회와 같은 눈부신 기계문명을 탄생시켰다. 그리하여 인류 역사상 가장 풍요롭고 편리한 생활을 얻게 되었다. 이러한 과학기술의 발전은 현대사회의 특징인 공업화의 물결이 산업 구조를 지배하면서 부터 인간의 주체성과 정신적·정서적 체험이 위협당하게 되었다. 따라서 현대 산업 사회는 「인간의 사회」에서 부터 벗어나게 되고 많은 부작용을 낳게 되었다. 즉 산업화와 조직 사회 로 인한 「인간소외」의 문제가 그것이다. 따라서 본 연구는 현대 인간의 이러한 소외문제들을 시각화함으로써, 오늘날 많은 예술가들이 공감을 지니는 "Deformation" (변형)이라는 예술적 방법을 통해 현대인 스스로가 자신의 문제에 대하여 관심을 기울이고 사고하여 나아가 행동의 변화까지도 영향을 미칠 수 있는 계기를 만들기 위한 시도라고 할 수 있다. 본인은 이 연구를 다음과 같은 순서와 방법에 의해 전개한다. 우선 Ⅱ장에서는 시각예술이 그 시대의 현실과 인간의 정신적·지적 상황을 가장 진실하게 반영할 수 있는 창조작업이 된다는 점에서 현대라는 시대가 겪고 있는 소외의 분위기로 부터 시작하여 기술과 소외와의 관계, 정치와 소외와의 관계를 살펴보고 더 나아가 사회구조와 소외와의 관계를 살펴 보았다. Ⅲ장에서는 이러한 연구를 시각화함에 있어 하나의 표현방법으로 사용하는 Deformation(변형)에 대한 이론적 배경, 즉 그것의 개념과 종류, 그리고 Deformation이 현대미술에 있어서 어떠한 의미를 지니는가에 대해 살펴본다. Ⅳ장은 이러한 연구배경하에서 이루어진 작품을 제시한다. 작품은 현 사회의 보다 심각한 문제라 할 수 있는 여러 면의 소외 문제를 다루고 있으며, 이 문제를 효과적으로 시각화하기 위한 수단으로 Deformation의 여러 방법을 도입한다. 이상의 연구에서 얻은 결론으로서 Ⅴ장에서는 사회의 단면을 보여주는 현대의 시각예술은 그 사회가 당면한 여러 문제를 시각화하고 그 문제에 대해 보다 많은 사람들이 진지한 사고와 자세를 확대시킬 수 있도록 끊임없이 새롭게 시도되어야 함을 강조한다.;Man has developed his tools for his convenience and happiness and has produced such a brilliant mechanical civilization as modern society, Thus, he came to attain the most abunddant and convenient life in the history of mankind. In this development of scientific technique, the identity of mankind and the mental and the emotional experiences came to be threatened, sicne, the stream of industrialization, the characteristic of modern society, has controlled the industrial structure. And therefore, the modern industrial society deviates from the「human society」and gives rise to ill effects. That is,「isolation of mankind」caused by the industrialization and the organized society is that Problem. Thus, this study attempted to make the motive by which the moderns themselves pay attention to their own matters, think and further, are effected to change their activities through the artistic method called "deformation" which has much sympathy of artists, today, with visualization of this isolation problem of the moderns. I developed this study according to the procedure and method as followes. First of all, in the chapter Ⅱ, the relationship between the isolation and the technique, and the relationship between the isolation and the politics were investigated starting with the atmospher of isolation which modern times experience and further, the relationship between the isolation and the social structure in the point of the view that the visual art can be the work of creation which can reflect the mental and the intellectural situations of mankind most sincerely In chapter Ⅲ, the theoretical background, its conception and the its kind of deformation used as one of the expressive methods in the visualization of this study was examined and the meaning of deformation in the modern art was investigated. The chapter Ⅳ suggests the works created under the background of this study. The works are dealing with the isolation which is more serious problem of modern society in many sides and introducing deformation as means for visualization of this problem effectively. The chapter Ⅴ, as the conclusion obtained from this research, emphasizes that the visual art showing a section of society has to be attempted freshly and continuously to visualize various problems faced by the society and extend the serious thought about the problems to more people.
