中部 觀光圈에 關한 地理學的 考察

Abstract

Tourism is a important geographic subjects from the view point of its nature ; geographic phenomenon; the tourist movement in space; landscapes; road and structure of network are parts of tourism resources. This study attempt to develop and apply a methodology for the regional pattern of tourism resources in Jung Bu region, Central parts of Korea. Data are collected from the Minitry of Domestic Affairs. Data describe cultural assets, recreational facilities, and attraction based on each city and county in the Central Parts of Korea. Data are analyzed with the computer techniques of factor analysis and cluster analysis. The results are summerized as follow. 1. Five components solution were derived ; Urban based tourism resources , natural tourism resources (mountain and coast resources), local cultural tourism resources, recreational facilities tourism resources and outdoor recreational tourism resources. 2. Cluster of cities and counties may be identified with an agglemertive hierarchical clustering algorithm. Each city and county may be defined in terms of grouping. cluster 1 : city and county that have high score on urban based facilities. cluster 2 : city and county that have high score on local culture and the highest recreational facilities. cluster 3 : city and county that have high score on oudoor recreation resource and urban based facilities. : city and county that have high score on recreational facilities. cluster 5 : city and county that have high score on nature resources. cluster 6 : city and county that have high score on local culture resources. cluster 7 : city and county that have high score on outdoor recreation. cluster 8 : city and county that have less than average score is grouping of above five components. cluster 9 : city and county that have in significant scores on nature resourses.;1970년대에 이르러 국민 소득이 증가함에 따라 실제적인 노동 시간은 단축되어 여가 활동의 수요가 점차로 증가하고 있다. 이와 같이 국민의 휴양, 위락 활동이 보편화, 대중화되면서 관광은 현대의 중요한 사회 현상 중의 하나로 자리잡게 되었다. 우리 나라는 수려한 자연 환경과 풍부한 문화 유산을 보유하고 있으므로 관광 자원 개발에 많은 가능성을 가지고 있다. 하지만, 기존 관광 계획들이 특정 관광지를 중심으로 시설, 자본 등이 편중되어 있으므로, 증가하는 관광 수요에 신속히 대처하지 못하는 실정이다. 본 연구의 목적은 지역 내에 분포하고 있는 관광 자원들을 중심으로 관광 자원의 유형을 분류하여 그 특징을 알아보며, 이를 기초로 관광 지역을 구분해 보는 데에 있다. 연구 지역은 중부 관광권 지역 중 관광 공급지로서의 주역할을 하고 있는 경기도와 강원도 지역을 대상으로 하였다. 이 연구를 위해 두 가지 계량적인 분석 방법을 사용하였는데, 연구 지역의 주요 관광 자원 유형을 알아보기 위한 요인 분석과 추출된 요인 점수가 비슷한 지역들을 묶어보기 위해 사용되는 군집 분석이 그것이다. 구체적인 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 요인 분석을 통하여 다섯 가지의 관광 자원 유형: 도시 기반 및 편의 시설형, 자연 관광 자원형, 향토 문화 자원형, 인공 시설 자원형, 야외 레크레이션 형이 추출되었으며, 각 유형들은 상이한 공간 분포를 나타내고 있다. 둘째, 실제로 공간상에는 이 다섯 가지의 요인들이 복합적으로 투영되는데, 군집 분석의 결과 비슷한 관광 자원의 특성을 지닌 9개의 지역들로 나눌 수 있었다. 군집 1에는 도시 문화 및 편의 시설형이 우세한 수원을 비롯한 4개의 지역이, 군집 2에는 시설 자원형과 향토 문화 자원형이 모두 우세한 용인 지역, 군집 3에는은 야외 레크레이션형과 도시 기반 및 편의 시설 자원형이 우세한 춘천 지역, 군집 4에는 인공 시설 자원형이 우세한 안산을 비롯한 3개의 신도시 지역, 군집 5에는 자연 관광 자원형에서 우세한 점수를 나타내는 속초, 양양, 삼척, 명주 지역이, 군집 6에는 향토 문화 자원형이 우세한 안성, 강화, 포천 등의 9개 지역이 속한다. 군집 7에는 야영장과 같은 야외 레크레이션 자원형과 향토 문화 자원형이 두드러지는 의정부, 양평, 이천 등의 5개 지역이 속하여 있으며, 군집 8에는 5개의 관광 자원이 모두 평균 이하의 점수를 나타내는 16개의 지역들이 속하고, 군집 9에는 자연 관광 자원이 다소 우세하나 관광 자원이 대체로 미약한 15개의 강원도 지역들이 속한다. 이와 같이 구분된 9개의 관광 지역은 각각 다양한 자원 유형 특색을 지니고 있으므로, 전 지역을 포함하는 관광권역을 설정하여 관광 개발을 하려는 계획 수립에 있어 중요한 논의점을 시사하고 있다.
