許允碩 小說硏究

Abstract

許允碩은 1934年에 단편 「사라지는 무지개와 오뉘」로 문단에 데뷔하여 40 年代末에 活發한 作品活動을 한 現存 作家다. 本 硏究는 가능한 전반적 시야를 가지고 허윤석소설의 문학적 평가나, 문학사적 위치를 고찰해 보려고 하였다. Ⅱ章에서는 그의 作品理解를 위한 기초작업으로 생애 및 문단활동, 문학관등을 살펴보았다. 그는 詩情神과 散文情神의 융화라는 독특한 小說美學으로 12편의 단편소설과 1편의 장편소설을 발표한 바 있다. Ⅲ章에서는 그의 단편소설을 대상으로 갈등의 해결, 미해결, 임시적 해결 구조등 세유형으로 나누어 구조분석을 시도했다. 갈등의 해결구조인 「실락원」「유맹」「文化史大系」등의 作品에서는 갈등의 性格이 '향수'나 '배신' '조국과 사랑사이의 선택'등의 문제로 나타났다. 여기서 人物들은 진정한 자아를 추구하므로써 갈등을 해결하고 있다. 또한 이들 作品에서는 황폐한 시대에서의 상실한 인간성의 회복을 주제로 하고 있으며, 和解意識을 바탕으로한 作家의 휴머니즘이 기조가 되어 있다. 갈등의 미해결 구조의 作品에는 「사라지는 무지개와 오뉘」, 「海燕」등이 있었고, 갈등의 임시적해결 구조의 作品인 「옛마을」 역시 진정한 갈등해결이 아니므로 未解決 구조에 포함시킬 수 있는 것이었다. 未解決 구조에서의 갈등의 모티브는 性(sex), 가난, 이데올로기등 세가지로 볼 수 있다. 그런데 性은 근본적으로 가난에서 비롯된 것이며 이것은 사회적 성격과 직접 결부되는 것이었다. 이들 作品에선 당대의 현실구조와 작품구조가 미해결이라는 상동성을 지녀 現實을 형상화하고 있다고 볼 수 있다. 다른 구조적 특징으로는 사건 전개에 있어 연쇄체의 병렬적 구성을 이루고 있다는 것 시간구성은 대체로 順次的 진행으로 평면적 구성을 이루고 있다는 것. 인물의 역할이 여성우위로 나타나는 것 등이다. Ⅳ章에서는 許允碩小說의 특징을 서정성과 現實의 수용으로 보고 분석·검토하였다. 허윤석의 서정성은 그가 실향민이라는 데서 비롯하는 것으로, 향토적 자연배경의 묘사나, 인물의 성격, 인물과 동물과의 친화등에서 나타나며 어휘사용, 수사기법, 서술자의 역할등 문체적 특징에 의해서도 나타나고 있음을 살펴 보았다. 또한 그의 작품에서 현실의 수용은 식민지 시대, 8.15 남북분단, 6.25 전쟁 등의 배경으로 나누어 볼 수 있었다. Ⅴ章에서는 이상의 分析을 토대로 허 윤석소설의 文學史的 位置를 밝혀보았다. 그는 詩精神과 散文精神의 융화라는 小說美學을 전제로 독특한 문학세계를 이루며, 해방 및 건국초기의 우리 문학사에서 순수문학의 길을 연 代表的 作家의 한 사람이라 볼 수 있었다.;Hu Yun-Suk set his foot in the literary world with his short stroy, "The disappearing rainbow and the family" in 1934, and became an active author at the late 1940's This study tries to value his stories literature generally with the unified view. In Chapter Ⅱ, in basic process for understanding his work's his life, his participation in literary world and his literary views will be examined. With harmonization of poetic and prose spirit, he leaves 12 short stories and one, long story. In Chapter Ⅲ, his short stories will be analyzed in three patterns. They are the structures of solving conflicts and unsolved conflicts and the temporary solutions. "The paradise Lost", "The wandering people" and "An outline of Cultural History" are that the characteristic of conflicts is the problem of 'nostalgia', 'betrayal', 'choice between the fatherland and love'. These characters are solved their conflicts by pursuing of real self. These themes is the recovery of humanity which is lost in this waste land. They are shown the writer's humanism which is based on the mind of reconcilation. The stories of unsolved conflicts is contained "The disappearing rainbow ＆ the family", "A seagull", and "Old village", though it has the structure of temporary solutions, is contained the unsolved structure because it has not solved conflicts really The motifs of unsolved structure are the problem of sex, poverty, ideology. Sex is caused by poverty fund mentally, and it is connected with the social character. There are the resemblance between the structures of real world and that of story world. Then these stories are figured the real world. The other characteristic of structures are the parallel plot of series in developing of events, the flat plot in regular sequence, the superiority of female in acting of characters. In Chapter Ⅳ, the characteristics of Hu Yun-Suk's novel will be analyzed in lyricism and the reception of real world. His lyricism is caused by the lost of his native place. And it's tendency is appeared in his description nature and his style. The reception of real world is appeared in setting of the colonized country, the division of south & north, the Korean War. In Chapter Ⅴ, the position of literary history of Yun-Suk is concluded with these analysis. His world is unique because the poetry and prose spirit are harmonized. He was one of the representative writers who made the way of the pure literature in the early national foundation period.
